“Yummy empanadas and desserts.“

“I feel so lucky to have this bakery in the South Bay. It is INCREDIBLE to say the least.

Highly recommend the following:

- Tomatoes Cheese Sourdough Bread: You get the satisfaction of their sourdough but with a savory and sweet addition with the tomatoes and cheese. It blew my mind.

- Jar Cakes: I've tried their Mixed Berry, Ruby Chocolate, and Apple Pie (preference in this order). Mixed Berry is my favorite so far--light and fluffy with a gentle tang from the fruits. Ruby Chocolate was pleasantly surprising; not heavy or decadent at all. Apple Pie was good but I thought the apple chunks were too raw.

- Focaccia: I've only tried the Margherita variation but I doubt you can go wrong with any of them. The slices are HUGE and made from the sourdough bread so you get all the flavors.

- Cookies: My parents liked the oatmeal chocolate ones the best; not as sweet as the regular chocolate chip. The butter cookies are also very light and not sweet.

If you can't decide what to try, ask for a sample. They let you sample EVERYTHING; the quality of service is insane.

It's not really a sit down cafe (no chairs or tables). You pick up what you want and gtfo.“

“We always have pies from Pie Dreams when we are camping in the San Francisco Bay Area. This excellent bakery has the best, most delicious pies, which we can’t skip after we had them on our camping trip a few years ago. They have many fillings, and I loved almost all of them. “What a hidden treat la biscotteria is! I accidentally stumbled upon them when trying to get cannoli, only to discover the greatest biscotti I've ever eaten. So much flavor and crisp, and a wide range of flavors. Personal favorite is definitely the chocolate dipped chocolate hazelnut but the lemon and blueberry ones are also super solid. Great pairing with a warm drink on a cozy winter day.“

“Juanita is a cool friendly auntie that just beams awesome sauce. I was craving turkey tail and she the only one who makes it well. She got the flavor down on everything. So far, no bad dishes. Loved it so much, I went yesterday for the first time and I’m preparing to go there in half an hour. I’m currently finishing the leftovers from last night. Just found my new favorite restaurant. Prices are great, food is plentiful, and auntie is cool af. Five stars all around.“

“My mom and I walked into this place today and at first we were a little surprised by the prices, but we decided to give this place a shot. This is a little bakery with few items but each item is made with the best ingredients. Sure you can find cheaper options at ranch 99 or 85° but they won't compare to this place. I can tell everything is made from scratch without preservatives. Not mass produced like the stuff you find at 85° and ranch 99 or any other chain chinese bakery.
Everything was so delicious. Even my mom who really dislikes spending $$ on such items was very happy we bought everything we did and would like to go back.
The items I got were the bride cake with winter melon, mango mochi, coffee sliced cake, almond cake, sesame balls, and the red bean puff with egg yolk. We haven't tried everything yet. But so far I'm really impressed by the sesame ball, mango mochi (filled with fresh mango and so soft!), and red bean puff with egg yolk. The sesame balls with red bean paste is way better than any that I have tried. I'm pretty sure she makes the red bean paste from scratch. The woman that works there is so kind and sweet. You can taste the love and care in their pastries. I am happy to support small businesses with quality food. 10/10 would recommend you do too!

“This is located in the food court area of hillsdale mall. The basque cheesecake is easily one of the best I have had. Even the Japanese cheesecake is super light fluffy and delicious. The tarts are great as well. I have tried almost every single flavor they sell. They also sell tea and some other beverages but I have not had the chance to try any of these. “I think the cream of the cake is not too sweet, has just the right texture and is very delicious. The cake design is simple and cute, and the fruit is very fresh, adding a refreshing taste to the whole thing. However, the sponge cake body is a bit dry, which affects the moistness of the taste. It would be better if it could be softer and more tender. ?“

Macaron texture was chewy and nice maybe slightly stale because end of day but still would go back for more. Do not recommend latte- not well blended or tasty. Still a cute small business and worth it for macaron and want to try choux buns next time!“

“I came to this Paris Baquette in Sunnyvale after my mother told me that she came to this particular location with her church friends on Sundays. The cream puff she had me try was very savory and perfectly creamy and just the right sweetness. I go to the one in the old Galleria Plaza all this time, but this location tops it. The noice doesn’t resound here and all the pastries are in individual bags or kept in the display racks with the sliding doors. In other locations their pastries are open to germs since the pastries are just there without a sliding doors to keep their pastries from peoples coughs and other airborne free radicals in the air. The vibes of the place is perfect for my likings with clean, appealing set ups. I will drive here from now on even though it’s about 5 minutes further drive. Thank you for the wonderful bakery ! :)“

What I would improve, and I've been thinking about this every time I come here, is definitely the ACOUSTICS! Every time the sound is very lous and you can barely hear the next person talking! “I really love coming to this place because it has a simple menu that’s perfectly executed. I’ve tried maybe 5 variations of their empanadas and each one came out super flavorful and fresh. The bread they use has a homemade authentic flavor and their spice isn’t actually too spicy. The empanadas do take ~5 minutes to warm up, but the atmosphere of the cafe feels very cozy and it’s a great place to read or relax. Sometimes they play soccer matches on the big screen and it almost gives a neighborhood bar feel. Really recommend!“
