“Amazing shop, our favorite boba place and we come here weekly. The owner and staff are so friendly and always remember us. Our favorite drink is the Viva Mango it has plum flavoring and Tajin! The perfect salty/sweet flavoring, So good! I also recommend the Coconut Pandan. I always get 50% sweetness but my kids prefer full sweetness. All the drinks are very different, so if you try one that is not your favorite, visit again and try another. They are sure to have something you enjoy and you cannot beat the great customer service.“

“I tried this restaurant for the first time and ordered the Bulgogi Rice Bowl and it was amazing. The price is well worth it because the food comes in big portions. The lady there was very sweet and we got our food pretty quickly. The place was empty but everything was clean. “As a Taiwanese person who grew up in boba land, I can tell you that the boba milk tea is pretty good. It's more towards milky end instead of rich tea flavor ones. Their original recipe is not too sweet so there's no point to adjust the sweetness. Or just ask the owner to make his favorite ratio. You should totally give it a try. (I cannot endorse other items as I just tried one product)“

“If you are looking to find a place with the yommiest Vietnamese Egg Coffee, look no further. I have been coming here off the recommendation of a friend and it is the best egg coffee. I have tried Da Vien, and while it is good, I think their egg is too foamy for me. I like Airoma's because the egg is super rich and dense, almost like a creme brulee but in liquid form. There's always students either studying or people meeting up for a coffee here. The person at the cashier register is always super nice and answers any question you have. I have come here to study a couple times and it's nice because it's not too loud where you have to use headphones to focus and tune out the noise.“

“The wife and I went in there on a whim after seeing this on Instagram. We each had a drink. She had the peach black tea and I had the strawberry green tea, the drinks were very refreshing, well-made and fresh. “I've been coming to Da Vien Coffee for over a year now. When I say I want Vietnamese coffee, THIS is what I mean. Their cold foams are flavorful and thick. This is my #1 favorite coffee shop in the OC. They specialize in Vietnamese coffee, and they also serve basic coffee, food, and desserts. I have yet to try their food & desserts; only drinks. I've been to both of their locations in Westminster and Garden Grove. Parking: Free parking. Somewhat easy to find on weekdays but more difficult on the weekends. Ambiance/Environment: On weekdays, I notice there is a consistent flow of customers. While on the weekends, they are usually busier. They have a modern, studious, and somewhat spacious environment with indoor & outdoor seating. Service: From my experience, the cashier is always kind and knowledgeable! Baristas are quick and efficient. Throughput is usually under 3 minutes. Drinks: 1) Black Sesame Latte - Phin drip coffee shot with black sesame foam. I really enjoyed the black sesame foam; it's pretty light. Even though it's shots of espresso, this drink is still strong and will keep you awake. 10/10 2) Matcha Foam Coffee - Vietnamese coffee topped with matcha cold foam & espresso powder. As someone who doesn't prefer matcha (don't come for me lol), this drink is perfect for you. The matcha foam isn't too overpowering. You get an equal amount of flavors from the coffee and foam. 10/10 3) Egg Coffee - THIS is my favorite drink! Vietnamese coffee topped with egg foam & cocoa powder. Da Vien actually put me onto egg cold foam. I was sus at first, but omg .. tastes like heaven! 1000/10 4) Da Vien Coffee - Vietnamese coffee topped with macchiato foam & cocoa powder. This is my second favorite drink! If you're not sure what to get and want to try something basic, this drink is the safest way to go. The macchiato foam is delicious and pairs well with the coffee. 10/10 5) Cloudy Ube - Phin drip coffee shot and Ube foam. This is a lighter taste of Ube compared to the Ube Coffee. You get an equal amount of flavors from the Ube and espresso shots. 9/10 6) Peach Tea - Green peach tea with peach slices. Such a refreshing drink! It tastes exactly like how it sounds. 10/10 7) Salted Coffee - Light and creamy coffee topped with salted foam. I believe this drink contains espresso shots over milk. The foam has a good amount of sweet & salt; not too salty. This is another safe drink to go with if you want something basic. 9/10 8) Ube Coffee - Coconut Purple Yam coffee. It's basically Vietnamese coffee topped with Ube foam. If you love Ube, this is the drink for you! The Ube foam is strong and pairs well with the coffee flavor. 10/10 9) Caramel Sprinkle Latte (seasonal) - Phin drip coffee shot with caramel and topped with salted foam. This is a Xmas 2023 drink. Not my favorite drink. The flavors didn't work well together. I felt the caramel syrup tasted weird with the espresso shots. 6.5/10 Pricing: Prices are $$ average. I'd say it's worth the price because their coffee is bomb af. I highly recommend joining their rewards. You receive points, coupons via text, and birthday treats. In the Westminster location, you'd input your phone number through the iPad. In the Garden Grove location, make sure to tell your cashier your phone number after ordering.“

Wonderful drink/dessert for caffeine addicts haha.Overall experience was great. “My absolute new favorite poke place. The make-your-own options are fantastic, and I am able to make the best poke I have every eaten, and I have tried MANY places. On top of that, I recently wanted to go, but forgot they close at 7:30p. I called at like 7:21p to confirm when they close (I am ~10 min away), and they offered to keep the place open for my wife and I to get over there. Great service from the two fellows that were there! “This was the best milk tea I've had in a long time! I ordered the creme brûlée with oolong, 50% sweet and it was PERFECT!! Service was fast and accommodating. The guy making my drink was so nice and told me to let him know if the drink needed any adjustments. The creme brûlée top was silky, creamy, a little sweet and a little salty which made the drink delightful. I'll definitely be grabbing something everytime im in this area!“

“Decent spot for drinks but the boba pearls can be hit or miss. I usually go for their Hawaiian fruit tea w/o the actual boba pearls, and it is very refreshing and I would highly recommend. However I tried a brown sugar milk tea with boba & the boba in my drink was super hard / chewy - not very enjoyable & tasted undercooked. Hopefully it's just an odd batch! Overall solid spot and I like coming here when I don't feel like venturing far for boba.“

“My new go-to for boba, and the desserts here are a plus. The Oreo cheesecake dessert is not a traditional American cheesecake - it's more like a Japanese cheesecake that is airy and fluffy. I haven't tried the other flavors yet because I'm obsessed with the Oreo one! The first time I went here in-person, I was having a really bad day and came here after work as a pick-me-up. I was pleasantly surprised at the claw machines in the back, and the interior decor and furniture are very modern and aesthetically pleasing. I was able to win a stuffed dog from the claw machines which helped me feel a lot better - it's such a small win but it made my day. Each play is 1 token, which is $1. The token converter is right next to the claw machines. The drinks here are fairly sweet, I'd recommend reducing the sweetness level on any brulee milk tea drink. I usually get the cookies & cream milk tea (previously called Oreo brulee, I think) with boba. The boba is always fresh, and a perfect texture and consistency. The brulee makes the milk tea so much more creamy, which I enjoy. Parking in this plaza is always abundant and easy. This plaza is usually never too crowded - a plus for me.“

“I used to frequent Bambu growing up and all the ones in my area closed. I saw this spot next to the restaurant I was having dinner at and knew I was going to be getting dessert from here. If I just hadn't had a pasta dinner, I would have ordered a Chewy Pandan but I knew that would be too filling so I opted for the Jelly Coco. The Jelly Coco is coconut water based instead of coconut milk so it's more refreshing and lighter. It fruits (coconut, lychee, longan) and fun pandan and basil seed bits. We were there arounf 30 minutes before closing and although there were a few people who ordered ahead of us, we still got our drinks fairly quick. “I really wanted to like this place more, but unfortunately there were a few things that brought them down to 4 stars. First thing first, the drinks. I like to get the regular milk tea from these places to really assess their quality and taste. If you can get the basics right, you're a step ahead! So, got their Brown Sugar milk tea with boba and it was okay. Nothing spectacular. I want to give them another try because they have some very interesting flavors and options in their menu such as the Hokkaido creamer milk substitute and the Oreo series blended drinks. I give them props for their ingredients as you can watch them make the drinks right in front of you and they made everything fresh to order, no premixed teas or powders. Their decor and theme is quirky and fun. You can tell they put an effort to make the place catch your attention and everything looked clean and organized. Prices are reasonable and within the market value for this type of stuff. The ding for me was the limited seating inside and the smell. It's not nasty like "I need to get the H-E-double-hockey-sticks outta here!" type of smell, but definitely a bit off. I tried to come back and try another drink when I was waiting for my tacos from the other place next to them, but that smell threw me off again. A little ding for not having any snacks at all. Not even like cookies or prepackaged Japanese treats or something. Anyway, that's my take on this place.“

“Wow, just wow! Obviously, we had to try the gyoza. I ordered the pork option (you can do chicken, pork, or 2 other options that I can't remember right now, veggie I think). You then have the option of choosing the sauce for the gyoza and there were so many options! I chose the teriyaki and the mango haberno, which ended up being my favorite. I also ordered the rocking salad, spring mix with Caesar dressing. I wasn't aware that it came with onions so there were really strong onion flavors in my salad, which I'm personally not a fan of so next time I'll make sure to ask for no onions. Otherwise, salad was fresh and dressing was ok. My husband ordered the steak sandwich and made me wish I had ordered it too. I had a bite, ok maybe two, and it was delicious. The steak was extremely flavorful and tender, not chewy at all. The slaw mix was fresh and a perfect compliment to the steak. The roll it came on was soft and melted with the steak. The lunch deal is awesome because it comes with the sandwich, a side (we got the fries which were really good) and a drink for $15! So not only was the food really good, everything was reasonably priced which is a rare find in this area. My husband's exact words were "wow, can I order this everyday?". I couldn't agree more! The location is right in front of the plaza to the left side. Parking is free for the first 15 minutes if you are just looking to pick up, or they validate parking also! They have some games inside so it's worth eating in. I will say we tried to order their food the first time through Grubhub but the menu was wrong on there. They called me from the restaurant to let me know and my order was completely refunded through Grubhub. Just great customer service!“

Phone number to text when order is ready however it wasn't accurate we still waited like 10 minutes after it said our order was ready. Service was ok no greeting and when we checked up on our order they didn't acknowledge us really. Ordered the and marble mango it was alright taste was artificial flavoring. The strawberry milk tea and plain milk teas was ok. The best was probably the mango smoothie. Boba was good. Overall, good for a one time try.“

“The drink was really good. The space was odd being located next to two other cafes. Just like other mainstream boba shops, starting to see the trend of self automated ordering rather than talking to a person which I find out of place in a location like the SOCO mix where they make it feel more personable and small business friendly. The drink came out good and definitely more of a quick grab and go spot, but have to find their spot first. Worth trying if your around.“

Podong is a uniquely Korean inspired boba shop with some of the most interesting drink concoctions. This spot is located in a plaza with a good amount of parking spots and you can find it next to the Gold's gym. Once you walk in, you'll be greeted by a modern nostalgic street style type of interior. They do a great job of juxtaposing nostalgic and retro themes with modern and streetwear ones. As for their drinks, they have such a variety to choose from. Wifey and I opted for the Korean pear slush and the injeolmi slush and both were super refreshing with flavors uniquely Korean. The staff here are awesome and very friendly. We will definitely be back to try their other drinks next time we're in the area!“

“Got their Lavender Milk Tea with Crystal boba, and it was good! This was my first time going there, and one of the workers was very sweet and welcoming. Introduced me with all drinks, and I guess I wanted to try something new. I'd say this is going to be my favorite spots to drink since everything they make is FRESH. I can definitely taste that lavender taste, and I asked to be 50% sweet. It's still sweet, although it's worth it. Would definitely come back here again!“

“There are many donut places within a few miles of this one but I think Donut Star has the best donuts and sandwiches and they're open super late! The donuts are very affordable. However, if I recall correctly, they have a pretty high credit card minimum (relative to the low donut prices) which is pretty inconvenient. Lychee Jasmine Tea (4/5): It came with real lychee and green tea jelly, both of which are delicious with the drink.
