“Top sushi 🍣 restaurant in studio city.
The service was excellent, from the time we walked in, to leaving, all staff constantly greeted and checked on us to make sure we were doing well.
The grilled green peppers🫑 were good, not too spicy.
The sushi was very fresh and tender, and the plates, including teriyaki salmon were tasty.
The place was packed.
The only downside was that their parking lot had zero self parking spaces, only valet parking so if you prefer not to, would need to find nearby street parking, which we did and walk a few blocks to the restaurant.“

“This is absolutely my favorite sushi restaurant in LA and I have been back now 10 times. I have lived here for 3 years and was looking for a fresh, well made sushi joint and finally found it. The owner is so kind and welcomes you upon walking in. I always get the miso soup, crispy rice and albacore fried onion roll. Everything is cooked to perfection and so flavorful. The ambiance is lovely with 1950s jazz playing and quick service. I cannot give this restaurant enough praise. Highly recommend!!“

“Leo is the best chef. So kind, personable, and knows his sushi. He makes just about everything from his ginger to his soy sauce from scratch even though he’ll tell you, “no soy sauce” for most of the sushi that comes as it should be eaten. Best sushi restaurant on Ventura Blvd by far. Make sure to try his dry aged fish!
Parking: There are a few spots behind the restaurant.“

“Absolutely amazing quality and gorgeously-presented food. The staff went above and beyond and all are incredibly informed and obviously enjoy what they do. Rachel was a complete doll and made every moment memorable. One of the best, if not THE best, dining experiences offered in LA.“

“Cool place to eat at with ~20+ bar seats-- no traditional seating here!
Tried a variety of hand rolls, their regular ones were good but my absolute favorite was the HYE, think I could live on those for a straight week haha. For the biggest bang for your buck, stick to the hand rolls.“

“The ambiance of this place was incredible. The chef who took our order actually took the time to fully explain each of the ramen choices that are on the menu. While waiting for our ramen, we got to see him apply the aromatics to each bowl of ramen. The presentation was incredible, and then we took a bite. I can honestly say that after taking my first bite that I sat back in my chair because I was so blown away at what I had just tasted. Incredible doesn't even come close to what my taste buds experienced. 🤯 If you're looking for amazing ramen, then Redwhite Boneless Ramen on Ventura Blvd is your spot.“

“La La Sushi is a hidden gem in the studio city, offering exceptional sushi and impeccable service well into the late hours. What sets this place apart is its commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
The food is truly outstanding. The sushi is fresh, expertly prepared, and bursting with flavor. I've tried several menu items and have yet to be disappointed. The signature rolls are creative and delicious, while the traditional nigiri and sashimi are perfectly balanced. The rice is cooked to perfection, and the fish is always of the highest quality.
But the real standout at Lala Sushi is the service. The staff is incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, providing recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining experience. They are friendly and accommodating, making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Even on busy nights, the service remains top-notch and if they like you maybe They will get some Shot with you.
One of the best things about Lala Sushi is its late hours. Many sushi places close up shop early, but Lala stays open late, catering to the night owls and sushi lovers. This is a godsend for those of us who crave high-quality sushi well into the evening.
About Ambiance it's not but at all.
Overall, Lala Sushi is a must-visit for any sushi enthusiast. With its delicious food, outstanding service, and convenient late-night hours, it's easily one of the best sushi spots in the city. I highly recommend giving it a try - you won't be disappointed.
Thanks for great time and great memories.“

“Not too bad of a place! Great food and good quality! The chef is very nice as well. Parking can be a little bit of a struggle but I would say there is a lot of street parking. Overall the price for the sushi isn’t bad and they have a wide variety of options. I like this place for my sushi fix!“

“So glad to finally tried this place, I don't have to drive to Ktown when I have the cravings for Korean food. I was skeptical but I had to try this place at least once. I went there with my daughter for lunch, ordered kimchee fried rice, kimche jjigae and port katzu. The portions were good and the taste was pretty authentic. Definitely going back. I'm sure their sushi will be pretty good as well as our lunch was.“

“Update: My second time here - after trying cold fish wrapped into the seaweed I got contacted by one of the regional managers. I came again - this time in Monday and it was packed. I had to wait for like 15 mins but it was a holiday.
I got seated and server lady was surprisingly good - I was getting food on time and rice to fish ratio was good too. The problem remained - half of my fish felt frozen. I will give this business 4 stars because of the regional manager and the bar's manager Christina - she was amazing - attentive, friendly, cooperative - what a great host! Thanks and I ll see you again soon
Original review:
I like to go to Kazunori in Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey
Decided to try this one today. The interior looks a little different. The place was almost packed at 2.30pm. The service was good. The host and the cashier were less friendly than at the other locations but thats ok.
What I really didnt like was the fact that all fish was cold almost to the freezing level. Therefore the taste was altered in a bad way - every roll tasted pretty much the same cause the fish shines when its a little on the cooler side. I got set of 6 and only crab roll was to the point. You guys need to adjust the temperature. The portions were a little smaller too. The atmosphere was ok I guess - not a place to go to socialize with other people. Everyone was minding their own business. Outside of that decent experience. Will visit it again next time“

“The sushi was delicious, but please specify the number of rolls on the website, because when ordering it is unclear how many pieces I order. There was only a photo of California (8 pieces), and I expected that there would be 8 other rolls, but 4 and 5 pieces of rolls came, which upset me.“

“This was our first time at Leona’s Sushi House, thanks to a friend who suggested we meet there—and honestly, we fell in love with the place right away. The vibe was just right—relaxed but lively—and we scored the best seats in the house, right by the open-air window on Ventura. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot to people-watch and soak it all in.
Our server was very friendly and made us feel at home. She even joked about losing her voice at the Beyoncé concert she’d just taken her daughters to—definitely a fun icebreaker.
We all went for the Omakase, and it was such a treat. It kicked off with a mushroom miso soup, then halibut sashimi topped with truffles (so good), followed by a couple of trays of assorted nigiri, and then a crab handroll. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn’t resist dessert, so we shared the chocolate lava cake, and banana puff pastry, and brought the caramel flan home.
All in all, it was an awesome night—great food, great company, and a place we intend to visit again.“
