“This was easily one of the best dinner experiences of my entire trip to California. The queue is long, but who cares? Just stand in line and salivate at the thought of insane tacos, or perhaps a stupidly large burrito that can feed a family of three. Or you know, just get there earlier. The servers were super cheery and helpful as well, which is always a pleasure. The food is so flavourful, it even managed to retain its flavour when cold! Did I mention the food is amazing? It's amazing.“

“The food was very good. My favorite thing was the spicy Pescado tacos. The chorizo scramble on toast was not as good as I was hoping it would be, but I did love the mimosa option with a flight of juices to kind of make your own mimosa. got there fairly early so there weren't many people and there, so the noise level was low and the atmosphere there is very charming and warm..“

“We liked it a lot! I went with my family, and all the dishes we ordered were very well served and delicious. We ordered birria, a fish fillet, some tacos, chicken fajitas and Menudo. Excellent service and the place is very cozy.I highly recommend this place!!“

“First time here since they first opened two years ago. Fast service! Have an “A” rating in the window. Very clean! Many menu items. Italian to Mexican! Customers coming in while we waited for our order seemed to all be on a first name basis with a small community feel. Lots of fist bumping going on! Lol Seemed everybody knew each other by their first names. The chicken burrito that we split was good. A customer who was already there eating her lunch when we arrived, got up and went out of her way to let the owner know that she really enjoyed her fish tacos ??. She said they were excellent! So may have to give those a try next time! Great place for a quick bite! Catering seems to be offered.“

“Tasted amazing, the food came out great a bit spicy but blended out well, the workers and costumer service was also excellent they treated us kindly. I would definitely recommend eating here food doesn't take that long to come out everything is homemade 10/10 recommend. The ambiance is nice they have outdoors and indoors unfortunately no restrooms but seating is easy to get.“
“4+ Considered one of the best by many or at least one of the most popular taco spots in Los Angeles. They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

“I saw this place and thought it had a nice view from the street over to the ocean so I figured I would eat there. I honestly thought it would be a tourist trap type restaurant because of the location, however, it turned out to be amazing food. I ordered iced tea, which had a lovely and fresh taste to it, not like it came out of the can. Guacamole fresh salsa is fresh, and I ordered fried snapper fish tacos were excellent. The rice was also good, being very flick as opposed to just plain tasting rice. I was pleasantly surprised at the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“This is the go to taco spot. I been coming here for a while now and they never disappoint. I tried their Carne asada tacos, asada quesadillas and asada burrito. The way they season the Carne asada is delicious and the red sauce that they give is the perfect combination. They now accept credit card but they charge a small fee if you use that. You can still pay cash or zelle if you don't want to use your credit card. The staff are very friendly and the guy working as the cashier is awesome. My wife also loves their food as well.Parking: They are on Balboa and Nordhoff, more toward the back of Burger kings so there parking spots there.Kid-friendliness: This place is kid friendly but they are near the main street of Nordhoff so just keep an eye on them.“

“I’ve been looking for a delicious torta for a long time and I finally found the place! If you like fresh delicious food this is the place. The service is excellent, they answered all my questions and explained their menu. I created my own sandwich with some recommendations from Johnathan who was awesome. This is by far the best torta I’ve ever had! It was so good I was back a couple days later for another! Wifey ordered tacos and they were amazing as well. The flavor and freshness of the meat is what sets them apart. No old meat being served here. Definitely my go to spot for delicious fresh food!“

“Hands down best burrito(American style) in the valley. The soup is a hidden gem as well, I would say it is one of the best things on the menu, no matter what you get atleast get it on the side. Owner is also very nice, polite and professional to everyone. This place is small but he made sure that everyone was taken care of personally and had everything they needed and keeps the place running on a tight ship. Worth a try no matter what.“

“I just stopped by today and had a great experience here. I got carnitas and al pastor street tacos and they were unbelievable. Such great flavors in the meat. Also the green and red salsa were very complimentary (red salsa is smoky spicy yum). Got the asada quesadilla for the kids (of course I had a bite) and was really pleased with the asada flavor too! Even the sour cream is great, homemade you can tell. The attention to quality is apparent!I am super glad because the first few times I was not impressed. Maybe I got the wrong things, and it seemed expensive, but everything was great at the service was great as well! It was only $20 and was enough food for 3 adults. Saw they have really good $12 lunch deals now too. Can't wait to come back!!“

“I really enjoyed my visit here again. I came back 2 years after my first time here to take a photo by the boat. The bartender, Mikey, was absolutely amazing and really knowledgeable about tequila. He knew a lot about the drinks and he made some really nice cocktails for me and my friends. I will totally come back next time I am in Santa Monica!“
“A hidden gem. The decor and atmosphere is incredible, music selection is great, and the staff are very friendly. We were able to get coffee and sit for hours, talking and reading. The place was pretty quiet for St pattys Sunday. Definitely worth seeing if you are in the area“

“Their food never disappoints. I go from the carne asada torta to the tacos and still can't decide which I like best. The meat, asada or carnitas, is always good and smells great and the beans and rice . Their salsas are really good. I always get this through Door Dash (had not idea it was a food truck) so if you order on there remember to add your request for the salsa.“

“After ordering here a few times I think the cooks need to learn that Mexican food is not soggy and wet. I don’t think I’ve ordered one thing from this place that didn’t fall apart on first pick up whether it tacos quesadilla burrito doesn’t matter, but I have to say the taste is good and the portion is good.“

“I love this place, i come here everytime i’m in SM. I always order sweet and sour tacos, they’re delicious, i like them so much that i made all my friends try it.i tried cocktails and mocktails as well and they’re delicious,The only thing i was really upset about was how filthy the restrooms were.I think it is very mandatory to keep that space as clean as possible, after i went to wash my hands i was literally so grossed out that i didn’t really want to eat anymore.“

“Best tacos burritos... ever! Even the tacos in Mexico don't compare and LA has great tacos to begin with so that's saying something. I just wish the horchata wasn't so sweet but it's okay I take it home and add milk to it.“

“Best birria food truck around here. The queso birria tacos is so bomb- the tortilla is warmly coated in the spicy broth and oozing with cheese. They give you plenty of limes. roasted peppers and their HOMEMADE SALSA OMG i love it. End it with their horchata and it's the best. Cash, Credit card is accepted.:)“

“There aren't many plant-based options. Their grilled zucchini is very good, and I highly recommend it! My family loves the fish tacos and pasta! I don't recommend the clam chowder. Overall, good food, but I wish there were more plant-based options!“

“I've been wanting to try this place for awhile and wow it was delicious! The staff member at the front was so kind and explained the menu options to me since it was my first time. I Ordered the fish and shrimp tacos as well as chips and guacamole. I could tell just by the delicious tortilla chips how great this place was about to be. The food was delicious, both tacos did not disappoint with so many amazing toppings and sauces..this is a one of a kind spot and I enjoyed it! Go try it and enjoy!!“

“This is my go-to taco spot in the valley! Parking isn't that great considering that it is at a park, but it's not horrible. The tacos itself is what gets me going back and the customer service is good. They have a lot of options and the price is affordable as well.“

“Birria tacos at the best.#1 for me in LA for birria tacos.Because it's so good better just put simple ingredients (onion, cilantro, spicy chili salsa for consome if you like spicy) and enjoy the flavor of real birria consome. Real deal. Fish tacos were very nice as well. Everything is really fresh.“
“This will be the third time we have used Nana's Kitchen. So clearly, we love what they do. The food is fantastic, a step up from your normal taco caterer, and we loved the passed appetizers while the guests were arriving. They set up a beautiful buffet spread and used gorgeous bowls. Everything was fresh and delicous. They homemade the tortillas and served delicious guacomole, again homemade. The servers were ontime, self sufficant and cleaned up after themselves. They boxed up all of the leftovers for us which was really nice. The only negative I could find, and you just need to know, is that beyond the food/catering fee (minimum of $650 for 40 people) they charge a travel fee, a convenience fee to use a credit card, and a 18% service fee which is NOT gratuity. So ontop of the food, you will need to expect to pay about 40 % more on the charges (your own tip to the servers, their 18% service fee and travel fee and of course tax). They are transparent about it, but something you should know. With that being said, I would still use them again.“

“Birria Del Valle is my go to birria spot in The San Fernando Valley. I would go as far to say it's the best of all LA county. I've had thier mulittas, quesabirria and had for the first time today thier Birria Noodles in which all have been outstanding in taste, filling and freshness. It's a must try no doubt & mock my words when I say you will keep coming back. If I could rate it's overall quality, it's beyond a five star rating.“

“We hired El Rey del Taco for our wedding rehearsal dinner and they were amazing!! The tacos were delicious and all our guests loved them! “La Flama is actually more of a market indoors, despite its appearance as a restaurant on the outside, and the patio with nice seating. Yet, despite operating as a market in its interior, the service is incredibly friendly and just delightful. And there are also a few tables inside at the front of the store, for those not wishing to dine in the covered patio. I ordered their tlayuda, which is a very generous size and comes with one container of milder green tomatillo salsa and a hotter red salsa. More than just the one lonely slice of tomato in the center would have made the dish a more ideal variety of juicy textures with each bite, but as a whole, it was nonetheless still good, with the tortilla base being the most expertly executed part.“
“With taco trucks being all the rage this is one that you need to visit. The Birria Tacos here are bar none the best that I've had. Don't get me started with their other offerings of burritos, here. They are big full of flavor and well worth the price. The quesadillas are my next favorite, but believe me everything here is good.Parking: The only thing about the parking here is that there's just a few spots around the truck that are available so it's going to be a walk if you have to park right on the street. If not, the business that is right in front has a big lot where you could just sit there and eat your food after you get it just make sure it's on the weekend. I'm pretty sure they're not too happy if you're parking there during the week.“

“One of the better taco stands in an area that is unexpectedly crowded with them. Al pastor and bunche in particular are delicious, although some friends have said the al pastor is sometimes more dry than they expected. Ambiance is typical street corner, but they have ample parking being at the edge of a Ross parking lot, and you can smell the chicken or the carne asada on the smaller side grill they use in addition to the main grill. Just wish they had an actual written menu up somewhere-- many places do, but not this one. Tacos, quesadillas, burritos, are the standbys for most of my friends... really we should get the tortas more often too.“

“Food is awesome! This was my first time here, ordered the 3 taco combo with asada, chicken and pastor tacos. Tacos were delicious! The rice and beans usually lack flavor at other taco shops like this, but these rice and beans are very flavorful! Love this place! Will definitely go back to try different things. Great food, friendly service, and a clean environment. Thanks!“
“This was recommended as an authentic restaurant by our air bnb hosts. It’s a massive space with football playing on the TV and a vast menu. We didn’t know what to order so asked advice, ended up with prawns cooked 4 ways. Prawns wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese was unusual, my fave was the coconut shrimp. This was a fun restaurant ginormous portions so do go there hungry and don’t over order. We had to get a bag to go on 1 course. I really loved the family feeling here, and the 10 year old son was also in an apron helping clear tables which was very sweet.“

“I love tacos when the tortillas are freshly made. This spot was good. Our friends brought here, our drive is 45 minutes. It was worth the drive. Tortillas were delicious, the tacos are very hefty, they're not stingy with their meats at all, The only thing, as I read on other people's reviews here, it would be nice if we could serve the salsas our selves. And yes we felt rushed as well, but I guess the demand is high and there was a big line. I will definitely come back again.“

“Poncho's has to be my and my family's favorite taco spot currently in the San Fernando Valley area. If you still haven't tried their tacos then you've been missing out. Currently I'm probably ordering via Uber eats on a regular basis. I highly recommend quesotsco beef birria tacos, quesotsco al pastor and of course you can't go wrong with the regular street tacos asada, Al pastor and even birria. I forgot to mention how flavorful the consome is and of course their salsa verde & red sauce are a must too! I pair all my queso tacos with all 3 ( consome, salsa verde and red salsa)“

“They always hold us down. After a lit night, when we want something cheap, or just when I'm fixing for tacos. Best I've had in the valley and better than anything I've had in Ventura county too. Shrimp tacos, chicken tacos, pastor tacos, and those damn birria tacos . And I love the onion that comes with it. Just beware of the hot salsa, if you get everything included on your food - it will be spicy. The only thing that wasn't the best was the birria burrito, and damn that was kinda good too! But I'd probably try something else next time I want a burrito or get consomé with it. It was a little dry without it.“

“The tacos here were pretty delicious. Anytime I see a Trompo (Al Pastor) and it's a new spot I haven't tried, I try and stop. I'm happy I did and they are open late night. The Al Pastor and asada were good and the salsa were good as well. The habanero one was the best for me because I like spicy. I will definitely come back for sure and try their other options of protein.“
“Just tried this for the first time, and will definitely be returning! The food was tasty, the price was fair, and equally important to me, the people working there were kind. Good customer service, and patient in explaining to me the various options (as the menu was in Spanish). Feeling very satisfied with the meal, and am looking forward to trying some of their other offerings soon.“
“Very good! The service was friendly and great--very helpful in helping us decide what to order. The goat taco was surprisingly good! Enjoyed the shredded beef empanada, which was huge and topped with avocado and lettuce. We ordered the horchata- which was yummy. They gave it to us while we waited for the food (it was a hot day), and then topped it off for us when the food came! They do have small chairs to sit on and plenty of shade. Highly recommend--we will go back.“

“Where do I even start. Every time I come to this spot, they never miss. This is by far the most consistent taco stand I've ever been to. Their burritos are the best ones I've ever had in my life. This is equivalent to getting street tacos in Mexico. 10/10 recommend. (Their al pastor is euphoric)“
