“Agnes Restaurant & CheeseryIt was not yet noon. I finished mailing documents at the El Monte post office and wanted to find a place to eat. Suddenly I thought of Pasadena Old Town, which I often went to when I was studying. I hadn’t been there for a long time. The car drove into Old Town and finally found a roadside parking. The toll was an old coin-operated type. I didn't see coins during this trip, and even banknotes were rare. Fortunately, there is an app on the toll that allows you to pay directly. , quickly download the app and pay with a credit card. You can only park for 2 hours, so just browse around as you like. The restaurants in Old Town are completely different from what they used to be. I didn’t know any of them, but I happened to see Agnes Restaurant & Cheesery, a cheese specialty store with bright and clean windows. It was small and elegant. It seemed that it also had a restaurant. When I walked in, I saw a variety of cheese and red wine. Immediately I intuitively chose Primento cheese omelette and cappuccino. After a while, the dishes were all served. They were also small and elegant, which is unimaginable in Los Angeles, which is famous for its big wins.Primento cheese omelette is a refreshing salad next to a yellow egg roll. When you take a bite of the salad, you can never describe it as "refreshing". It is thick and thick, the viscosity of the salad oil is very high, and it also has the heavy taste of traditional Western food, regardless of the saltiness. , quite delicious. The egg rolls are well-cooked, and the crispy shell is filled with rich cheese. It is very fragrant and thick, and has a bit of spiciness. It is different from the egg rolls eaten in other restaurants. It is a paradise for cheese lovers. After that, I walked around the store and saw a lot of cheese and red wine waving at me with a smile. Unfortunately, I couldn't buy them this time. After leaving the store, I felt that my stomach was still empty, so I went to look for food again. After noon, the store started to get busy. Let’s try it for dinner next time.“
“Great place. Wide variety of Craft Beer from local highly rated breweries such as Green Cheek (one of my favorites). Service from all staff on point, always willing to assist with beer related questions, if not too familiar with the craft life, Stephen is always helpful and pleasant. If you prefer something off beer, the sake margarita is a must.“
“What am amazing space. The picture here does not do it justice. The menu is creative and everything was delicious. The drinks are primary Gin and Whiskey based and were strong. Definitely not for the weak at heart. I appreciated all the attention to detail. It's probably one of the most beautiful places to dine in LA.“
“One of my favorite restaurants in LA. The food is consistently great, the bar program is creative, the service is friendly, and the vibe is chill and fun (especially on the patio and at the bar). Unlike almost all restaurants serving small plates they do not make you order everything at once or rush out the food, so meals here feel luxuriously relaxed. You can't really go wrong with the menu but in particular do not miss the boquerones y mantequilla, which is a brilliant dish.“
“Went on a date night with my husband and was pleasantly surprised at how AMAZING this place is! The service is top notch especially the bartender Adrian. They have craft cocktails that are delish. The food is really good too. Great experience, highly recommend!“
“Met Anderson Paak the last time I was here, but I’d already dubbed this place my favorite local spot long before I danced with my idol under the disco ball.Strictly vinyl. Great cocktail menu.Only negative: their digital branding needs work. Kinda wish they’d hire me to curate their social media. ?“
“We really enjoyed our experience here. In fact, I have shared with several people since then how much I enjoyed being there, and the fact that it was the best meal I have had for sometime. We had the pork chops and salmon. In particular, we felt the meals were very tasty, well presented, and the carrot cake dessert was unique and simultaneously light and decadent. The service was also excellent. Our drinks were regularly filled, and someone was always checking in with us to make sure all of our needs were fulfilled. The only thing I would change is better signage for parking. It was unclear which parking lot was specific for the restaurant, and because the road is one way, we both, in our separate cars, ended up having to go all the way around the block before figuring out precisely where to go. I had to call for specific instructions, and the person with me called me for further instructions. Better signage outside, and also signage for precisely where to once you get out of your car, would be helpful. Also, since you can only park on one side of the parking lot, signage for that would also be helpful.“
“Historical Pasadena restaurant that some people forget about. I hadn’t been here for years until this evening. I’d give 5 stars, but my pork chop was dry and little overcooked. Everything else was wonderful, including the drinks. It’s very intimate inside, but as the restaurant fills up it gets quite loud. The patio is covered and heated, but you may find yourself having to talk over the nearby tables or road noise. Valet parking only, $8 at the time of this review. There is street parking available on Fair Oaks though.“
“AltaEats offers a culinary journey with highs and lows. This was my second visit to AltaEats. The first time was a 5 out 5. This visit offered inconsistency in both food and service. The salads (burrata and caesar) at AltaEats were a standout, offering fresh and flavorful combinations. Make sure to the delicious bacon-wrapped dates; a delightful blend of sweet and savory. The rib eye was okay. It didn't quite live up to our expectations. The bread & butter and pot de creme were both delicious. We fought over the lest bits of the desert. The service was a mixed. One waitress, notably wearing a provocative necklace, left much to be desired in terms of friendliness and professionalism. On the other hand, the second waitress provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience AltaEats offers a culinary adventure with standout dishes and a mix of service experiences. Your experiences may vary. They did for me.“
“It's been a while since I visited Yakiya, but the memories of that fantastic dining experience still linger. From the moment we arrived, we were promptly seated, a testament to their efficiency. I was particularly impressed with how quickly the staff ensured tables were cleaned between plates. The kitchen team deserves special mention too, as they kept the scrumptious dishes coming without any unnecessary delay. The star of the evening was, of course, the meat. Each cut was not only delicious but also richly flavored, a testament to their meticulous preparation. The presentation was nothing short of artistic, a feast for the eyes as much as for the palate. While the essence of the dishes was deeply rooted in Japanese culinary traditions, I was pleasantly surprised by the subtle touches of Korean fusion in some. It added an unexpected, yet delightful twist.“
“This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. Tucked inside a hotel you wouldn't know about this place but I am glad my friend found it. We now made it a yearly thing to come back here and have dinner here now“
“Staff that cares! Great place. Wonderful food. Seems lately customer service is a thing of the past. NOT here. The staff if Friendly, they accommodate seating requests if possible. I get cold , so not sitting outside or by the door makes for a better dining experience. They do keep the door open for outside diners, which can be chilly for those on the inside. They are very knowledgeable in wine selection and know how to pair well with the entrées.One super bonus, lots of gluten free selections!!!Dietary restrictions: They offer many tasty gluten and vegetarian options. I'm neither, but my sister is gluten sensitive, and this was a fav of hers.“
“Litos Cork Room (LCR) is a hidden gem in East Los Angeles, especially for Green Bay Packers fans. The welcoming vibe and unique Packers fandom create an unforgettable experience for any football fan. Drinks are very reasonably priced and bar service is quick in this tiny little Cheesehead heaven. The owners (Junior and his wife) are amazingly welcoming and generous people. Litos feels like a mini-Lambeau in ELA.Highly recommend!?? ?? GoPackGo“
“First time back in a decade and well worth it. The service was fantastic: attentive. We ordered the blueberry cobbler and after informing us it was sold out they offered an option on the house. Cuts were good, the sauces were good, just wish they were spicier. A tad loud.“
“A password is required to enter or get hints from the bouncer. The inside atmosphere was reminiscent of a prohibition vibe because of the red lighting and decor. I ordered the Kitty Killer as it seemed like it would be a nice, fruity, smooth drink“
“This is great hidden gem. What a great place to go with a good mix of patrons . There was a great age mix that made me feel comfortable . The drinks are great . The ambiance is inviting - happening - and entertaining. Had a great time with friends . I will return for sure with more friends.“
“Walked by it for years and only recently tried it. So good. Had a special of white asparagus soup which was delicious. I had their strip which was well prepared. Our server was lovely and great at directing us. Lovely little. Spot. Reservations are strongly recommended.“
“Can't believe it's taken me this long to discover this sushi spot. Sushi and dishes are on point! It's fresh and creative!Service is prompt and polite. The decor is clean, traditional Japanese. There's a small outdoor area. Would definitely be going back. Next time, I want to try their omakase.“
“This was my first time at the Raymond. I subtracted 1 star for service. It wasn't bad, just could be polished up a tad. Plates were left on the table between courses necessitating the server to clear them. The food was very good. It's not fine dining—does not pretend to be so—it's more akin to the casera vibe. It's as if you were eating at a friend's home, albeit a friend that really knows how to cook. We sampled the chicken and the pork chop. The chicken was outstanding. As we all know, chicken is a challenging protein to cook perfectly. And it was. It arrived hot and juicy and expertly seasoned. My comment on the pork is only representing my own flavor profile; I found it to be needing a bit more pan sauce. And, for me, the Dijon mustard came on a bit too strong and overwhelmed the delicacy of the subtle pork flavor. We really enjoyed the ambience. Both outside and inside were a comfortable environment to enjoy a nice, un rushed meal. We will return.“
“Love this low key, high end bar. Best of both worlds. Dark and warm atmosphere. Phenomenal happy hour and cocktails. We came for after dinner cocktails and ordered an espresso martini and a "Coffee and Cigarettes" and they were perfect! FYI It's not closed. Try the door!“
“I LOVE this place! The food is always amazing whether dine in or take out, I'm salivating. The servers are so kind and do their job well. And the VIBES! that place is so cute they either have live music or some good jams playing in the resturant. I take everyone I know here. Can't wait for my next visit ?“
“Was not expecting this great food worthy of any restaurant. The ceviche was good. The stake was amazing. The tacos were amazing, chicharon was on point ,and taco shrimp was amazing , and I was not expecting this kind of quality from a bar. O and the music were on point. First time here, and I highly “
“This place gets me into trouble and I am fortunate. With its 24 diverse rotating beer on draft, you can explore them using flight option. Also, they have their wine it's in own chilled draft box. Want more? You can to peruse their wall and wrap-around refrigorator of a craft beers and estate wine, champagne, and even non alcoholic beverages. Great for solo drinking, date night , and meet up with friends. Cheers !“
“purposely came due to the nostalgic aspect of it being in the movie Halloween III. super cool vintage vibe just like from the Tom Atkins scene in the movie. great beers on tap and clean bathroom. bartender had a very nice British accent and was very accommodating. a buddy of mine was with me and we got to hang out with some of the bar regulars. they shared stories about the area and gave us some real nice recommendations in regards to film locations. we took some pics with the bartender and regulars before making our way to the famous church from the movie THE FOG. definitely stop by and grab some drinks if you're in the area !!“
“My wife and I came here on a Saturday night and there were maybe about 3 other tables occupied. There was live music which was great. We didn't see anyone working so we sat ourselves in a booth and patiently waited for someone to take our order. Ended up ordering the botana la palma and ceviche de pescado. About 5-10 minutes later we were informed there were no more fish for the ceviche, so we decided to go with shrimp instead. The service was a bit slow or non existent. Maybe because the restaurant was hosting a paint&sip on the other side and required the waitress' attention. Nonetheless the food was amazing! Seafood tasted fresh and full of flavor. Where it went a bit wrong was when we got our bill. I typically just double the tax for a 20% tip, but didn't realize until afterwards that 1. The tax was off and 2. We got the wrong bill. The botana la palma was $25 and ceviche i believe was around $19, but was charged $25 for sashimi de atun azul. The tax was only $2.49 so our tip was unfortunately lower than intended (sorry, I was tipsy). My fault for not checking, but I was in a rush. Overall, would definitely come back, but will double check my bill.“
“I forgot to take a picture but the food was delicious. I ordered the quesabirria tacos (comes with 3 & the meat juice) and a jamaica and they both were good. The agua frescas come in the big margarita schooner glasses. Not sure if they have free refills but I don't think so. I liked my tacos crunchy so I asked for them well. The chips were crunchy and not stale, the guac taste fresh. The waiter was attentive and checked on us a few times. Overall it was a good experience.Parking: It's in a shopping center and there is plenty of parking.“
“Party it up at offbeat where chill vibes and good music fill up your night.Everyone was jamming and dancing on the main floor, it can get tight but in a good way just like o’ times getting that jump boogie on.It was y2k night so they were playing all the pop hits from the 2000’s 90’s 80’s that get you to groove and rock out to.They play no doubt don’t speak and everyone sang their hearts out, it was a moment.Such a mix ground and feels like the kickback block party where everyone from the neighborhood comes through. They got booths along the side wall with small tables for that vip section, they even had a photographer with a backdrop set up to take them old school portraits.Long bar so plenty of room to go up and grab a drink. They have a HUGE smoking patio out back with plenty of seating with tables under the canopy but also standing areas to vibe with your tribe, crew or old click as if it were back in the days of high school. There’s also one of those old school Photo Booths that prints outOver all chill spot and finally a spot where people actually dance and vibe with each other. All mixed and wide age groups. This is the homie spot that makes you appreciate highland park.“
“I’m a fan. Lots of history here. This was also a filming location for the movie Bad Santa. The hotel IS haunted. But I don’t believe it is yet operational again. The Mayan is and it’s a really cool place. The staff is super friendly and engaging as well. Be sure to walk around and check out the pictures on the wall. Yes! They are from the 30s and 40s. Welcome to Old Route 66.“
“My visit to Bar Celona tapas bar was like stepping into Spain itself. It truly was an ideal spot to indulge in authentic tapas and savor the flavors of Spain. We ordered a variety of seafood dishes, including paella, mussels, calamari, and enjoyed a refreshing sangria to complement the meal. The server at Bar Celona tapas bar was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was lively, enhanced by the presence of a DJ, creating a vibrant atmosphere perfect for a memorable dining experience.“
“Popped in on a Friday night and was surprised by the quality of the drinks, food and sound system. They had a few groups performing who appeared to have a strong fan base. From other reviews, it seems like they have other types of entertainment so curious to come back. Bathrooms were clean and ample parking“
“We celebrated my mom's birthday by doing a surprise breakfast for her. They were able to accommodate our party and plus a few extra last minute add ons. They ade sure our coffee cups were never empty, the food came out to us hot and without mistakes. Everything was yummy! They even sliced the cake with brought. So appreciate their service with a smile!“
“Let me start by saying this is one of my favorite bars the service is phenomenal Chris big Mike Joanna best friend and the new girl Chantel aka Alex is amazing the bar is extremely clean staff is friendly and know what you like for me it’s like a 4.5 out of 5 but 100% will be a 5 if they had twisted tea thank you 626 bar for a good time all the time“
“Randomly dropped by this place and made it in time for happy hour. Cool and stylish place when it comes to the interior.I'm picky when it comes to my meat and the Entraña has always been a favourite of mine. Best Entraña I've had north of the US boarder. Also really good fries that were well seasoned and the chimichurri was good also. This meal was just what I wanted!“
“This is our favorite go to place in the neighborhood The food is always delicious and a little adventuresome. The chef likes to change up the menu frequently and there are some favorites that are always there. I love the tuna tartare tacos. But he also makes duck confit, bouillabaise, bone marrow. Their happy hour is great where you can have a taste of lots of fabulous small plates. If you like oysters, there is always a selection of very fresh offerings. Love this place!!“
“My friend and i came here on Christmas Day and i was so glad they were open.Andrew is our bartender and he was very attentive to all our orders. He made every drink we ordered and they were actually very satisfying. The portions were all right and they tasted exactly as how they should.Food choices were limited to chips but there is a satisfying amount of entertainment from dart boards, a jukebox and a pool table. The patrons that come here are pretty mellow and not like the crazy loud obnoxious crowds that I run into at some bars. You can go for a smoke in the back where there are tables, chairs and ashtrays to use.The restrooms were clean and well maintained.Lots of parking in the back through Wells Fargo Bank.“
“Yecxy was the BEST server she was so helpful and gave the best recommendations! the restaurant was amazing and i couldn't recommend more! the pineapple ale was amazing and they offer testers before you have a drink to make sure you like it! Go to this restaurant! Great vibe, amazing food, great music!“
“OK this is literally the West Coast version of Cheers. I've never seen a place where everybody says. Hi and bye to each other. The bartenders are great. The serving staff is very reliable. And I love the dark and calming vibe. I had their VR burger, which complements all the drinks I had. They have a grill where you can cook your own steaks, I'm definitely coming back here for a few first dates.“
“You looking for a good time with good music and and enjoy load talk and hard laugh with friend and my like to enjoy a pool table game well r,s place is the dive bar you want to dive head first in weather it's just stoping by for a beer after work or you group of friends want to go hard on the bottles this the spot to go and let out the work week or conversate on the crazy life you been having r's place is your place to let your freak flag fly.Parking: In the ally way back of bar entrance is there too“
“Great neighborhood spot. Stopped in for pre-dinner drinks on a Saturday evening. It seemed like everyone knew each other and was having a chill time watching the NCAA tourney. My whiskey sour was just right, and at $6, an absolute steal. My friends showed up soon after, and all enjoyed their drinks. Would definitely come back if in the area.“
“Had a really great dinner at Yard House before AGT! Me and my company were not from LA so we were very glad to pick Yard House before our main event that evening. Poke nachos were soooo good. As well as my main the sandwich with truffle fries. Drinks were amazing as well and would 100% come back here. The bar is most likely the highlight of yard house as it was long , glowing, and very welcoming. Drinks looked really good. Me and my company sat in a booth but it was worth the money spent included with the service , food , and atmosphere. Thanks yard house for a delicious meal before a big show!“
“Great little bar with an awesome atmosphere. Only downside is that a lot of people smoke outside, and the place quickly fills up with cigarette smoke. That horrid smell is a turn-off. I enjoyed the evening which was a special event but I wouldn't return unless it was something I really wanted to see“
“The barcade is a really cool place I give it 3rd place on my top arcade bars 1st being mini boss in sj and 2nd being coin op in sc only because while they did have a lot of game options some games could use some TLC and some unique drinks would be cool. Other than that it's clean and the staff is cool . Would definitely go back.“
“I recently visited Xecora in Downey, enticed by its reputation as a local favorite. Having previously experienced their Downey location, I decided to stop by this one, hopeful for a similar culinary adventure.Upon entering, I found the atmosphere at Xecora to be pleasant, but not extraordinary. The ambiance could use a bit more character and warmth to elevate the dining experience. However, the overall vibe didn't detract significantly from the positives of the visit. The service, on the other hand, was a standout aspect. The staff was friendly but also efficient and attentive. Their willingness to accommodate and make recommendations enhanced the overall dining experience. The chip and salsa at Xecora maintain their reputation for excellence. The flavors are vibrant, and the freshness of the ingredients is evident. It's a delightful way to kick off the meal and sets the stage for what's to come. One of the highlights of Xecora is their special drink, which lived up to its reputation. The unique flavors and creative presentation added a refreshing touch to the dining experience. I highly recommend trying their special drink for a flavorful twist on traditional options.Xecora is renowned for its ceviche, and rightfully so. The freshness of the seafood combined with well-balanced seasoning makes it a must-try dish. Unfortunately, during my visit, the absence of oysters was a letdown. It's worth noting that availability may vary, so it could be worthwhile to inquire ahead if you have a specific dish in mind.Overall, Xecora has the potential to elevate its status with a few enhancements to the ambiance, but it certainly delivers on taste and service.“
“I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The bartender was helpful and attentive. Beer selection is above average which has a good selection of stouts, ciders or IPAs. Good spot in the area for food and drinks. The Fish and chips are a pretty big deal!“
“What can I say apart from I had a blast here with my friends we were a party of 10 and they were constantly helpful. The cauliflowers were extremely good they were crispy not soggy or anything and the sauce was slightly spicy, delicious with the ranch. This place actually serves their whiskey sours with EGG WHITE. FINALLY ! I would come for those two things again.“
“Yeah it's an English Pub but man can they turn into an Irish Pub when it's St.Payricks Day. We had a great time and even though you had to wait in line it went fast. Food was great with the traditional corn beef and cabbage and the corn beef was like butter to the fork. Amazing. And we also had fish and chips. That fish was crispy on the outside and a fat white portion of fish on the inside. And you know I had to put malt vinegar on it. The waiter suggested Guinness with a mixture of Framboise which is a raspberry Belgium beer I love. It worked great. This is my favorite quiet Lucky Baldwins and then if you want a higher energy head to Old Town Pasadena to that Lucky Baldwin. They both are great.“
“I live literally around the corner from this bar my first time stopping in like the atmosphere for the most part the people are very friendly I forget our bartender's name but she was pretty awesome I think I would make this my bar of choice“
“This pub is evolving into a fantastic location for wine sampling. You can easily drop by and sample any of their excellent offerings. The hostess is welcoming, the music is comfortable to listen to at the right volume, there is good bread, and of course, a fine wine to round off the experience. The tasting area is tastefully decorated. When I have time, I'll be dropping by more frequently.“
“B2O has become my family's new go-to weekend restaurant. Great service with complimentary pickled cabbage and marinated boiled peanuts which are to die for. Beer is also BOGO per pitcher, which is great because you get a voucher if you don't immediately want to redeem the second pitcher of beer. The B2O fried chicken is a must try. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, and juicy. Another favorite is their 3 cup tofu and basil eggplant dish. Their music choice is kind of weird, but it's not too big of a deal (same short-ish playlist on repeat, including the gummy bear song). At least they don't blast it like some restaurants do. Waitstaff will also help package up leftover food, which is always appreciated!“
