“Fresh food, made to order, great service, good price for quality food”
“very good food and friendly staff!!! the food is pricy but very good”
“I have tried the most of Korean restaurants in Hayward, Dublin, Union city, Fremont and Milpitas. This place the most authentic and not Americanized, meaning the dishes are NOT sweet.”
“Pretty nice restaurant in the UC area, they were able to accommodate my group of 12 though the restaurant is a bit smaller. The service was good, unlike the other reviews servers came to take our order, and food was good as well.
Started off with lamb seekh kabobs which were really good, and chicken malai was ok as well. Got the chilli chicken, I think it def could have been spicier, and had more veggies than meat, but meat was good. Mango Lassi was actually nice and thick! For entrees, we got the kadai chicken, chicken curry, and goat curry, all pretty good. And I absolutely LOVED the gulab jamun with ice cream at the end.”

“Our favorite place for a date night in Union City! Fantastic menu choices and delicious food every time.”
“Chris that works there is awesome, food is good and they are accommodating”

“Mala Town is hands down one of the best spots for Sichuan dry pot in Union City! You get to pick your own ingredients and spice level, and they stir-fry everything to perfection with that addictive numbing-spicy mala flavor. Portions are generous, perfect for sharing, and prices are fair for the quality.
The medium spice has a nice kick, but if you love heat, go for the higher levels—it’s legit spicy! Service is quick and friendly, and the restaurant has a clean, modern vibe. Definitely a go-to place if you’re craving bold flavors and want a fun, shareable meal.”
“Sweet Mex makes the BEST Mangonada around! They're unmatched. They also make delicious food. The Carne asada tacos are delicious, the street corn is tastey, & the tostiloco's satisfies every bit of my savory craving for the day. Basically, they have a little something for everyone! Salty, Sweet, refreshing...you name it, they GOT IT! 🤩”
“Crumbl had a collaboration with Martha Stewart this week, they also gave out a free chocolate chip cookie. Obviously lines were long and no one paid attention to the signs the staff had out. They only staffed TWO employees during this entire situation and one was almost finished with his shift. Major shout out to Lara and Jacob who were working on 11/6, they held it down and weren't rude or impatient or anything! Thank you so much.”

“I know this restaurant has been around for 20 years but it was my 1st time here. The food tastes authentic, service is great. Some people say the servings are small but they are actually just right. I had their lomi (for take out) and had their halo-halo, inihaw na bangus for a late lunch. Was worth the trip. Will definitely be back.”
“Tuesdays 40% off on any Large pizza , i came here with my family about 10 of us and the service was great and so was the food quality . Great super sufficient staff and they know their menu items very well that they will help you choose what you could try for your dietary options. OH! “I’ve always wanted to get one of these milk tea coolers and thought Id have to travel far to get one and never expected to get one near us :) and of course the milk tea and boba itself tasted great which made it even more worth it.
Definitely will be reusing this for a lot of drinks.
And the staff was very friendly, welcoming and the whole atmosphere of the place was lovely :) so a well added bonus”

“X-tra Hot! Not above my tolerance, enough for that lip burning sensation, but does not linger afterwards nor makes breathing difficult, if you know what I mean (that's Holy Chic+ levels). I can feel that heat moving through my belly for a day after! 🔥 (pretty much the same as Dave's though)”
“Lamb was very tender and girthy, it was especially good raw. The lack of soda perplexed me, I gained over 25 pounds after eating here! Finally I way 440 pounds. The laterally thin rice dessert completely satisfied my cravings. The nice whitish liquid, that elicited a delicious reaction with my pink tongue, wowed my world. Overall my chakra levels increased and I can now go on to master spinjutsu! We love you Tecca! 10/10”
“Quick walking distance from Union city bart! I was greeted by both workers as soon as I walked in! I ordered the iced caramel macchiato and an everything bagel. Great coffee and food for great prices. I am super impressed by the customer service. The seating is also spacious. Sometimes I dont like taking zoom meetings from cafes but this is a good space to do that. You can be spread out from people if you please. Super amazing small business! Go support!”
“This place is actually underrated! The burrito bowl is delicious and I've seen other dishes that looked tasty. Also I think google need to recreate the star rating because if the food is delicious but I didn't like how the bathroom didn't have hand soup. The restaurant doesn't deserve 1 star for that. I'm reading reviews for 1 &2 stars and I'm going that's not 1 or 2 star worthy. That's petty”

“Sunright is one of the better Boba spots in the Bay Area and it's definitely a must visit.
The quality seems to be consistent with their different locations.
I've had the opportunity to try most things on the menu but my favorite is the grape frosty, which unfortunately seems to be a seasonal item.
The menu is extensive enough to where there should be something for everyone as there are your more traditional choices, as well as, some fusion (East meets West), creative new drinks.
Sunright uses high quality ingredients, many of which are locally sourced in California. And yes, you can absolutely tell the difference! This is also because they don't cut corners and costs during the prep.
The staff is always on top of things and even when there are long lines, they always work diligently and quickly while maintaining the high quality standard.
The location itself is small, narrow, and it's pretty much a grab and go at the moment but the decor matches the theme.
If you haven't heard of Sunright, definitely give it a go and you'll be pleasantly surprised.”

“House of Dumplings is an absolute treasure! Their dumplings are incredibly fresh, flavorful, and clearly handmade with care. Every bite is a delight, whether steamed or pan-fried. Beyond the dumplings, their other Chinese dishes are also excellent. This place is a must-visit for authentic and delicious food. Highly, highly recommend!”
“The food was full of authentic
Peshawari flavor. Service is always great and people are very nice .The food is very high quality fresh and best. Always have great experience here. Everytime I go with my family I sit at the decorated lounge which is very beautiful. Highly recommend”
“Food is very good. However, I rather they told me the truth instead of steering me into something else. It appeared that they don't have 2 lbs or more lobsters. So, they BS about 2 one lb lobsters would provide better meat quantity and that the meat in a 2 lb lobsters would be tougher. You will get more shell and more elbow joints that are difficult to handle. Instead, just order something else. Anyhow, the lobsters over noodles were nicely cooked and were extremely tasty. So were the surf clams over cellophane noodles. The rest of the dishes were also good except for the salt and pepper pork chops. They were tasty but the chops used were too thick. Desserts were not warm/hot enough.
Service was generally good. Near the end, the waiters were, as if by concerted efforts, ignoring our wavings to get our teapots filled.
The tables were not too jam-packed as other Chinese restaurants.”
“L&L Hawaiian Barbecue always delivers on delicious, authentic Hawaiian flavors! Their plate lunches are incredibly satisfying, with generous portions of perfectly cooked meat and macaroni salad. The Katsu Chicken and BBQ Mix are my go-to's. It's a taste of Hawaii right here, and the service is always friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!”
“Had a great experience! As a vegetarian, I’m always a bit cautious when trying Korean restaurants, but this place pleasantly surprised me with several delicious options.
The vegetarian-friendly Bibimbap was flavorful and satisfying, packed with fresh vegetables and perfectly seasoned. I also tried the Japchae, and the sweet potato glass noodles were cooked just right — slightly chewy, lightly sweet, and full of vegetable flavor. I also enjoyed the crispy fried seaweed rolls, which made for a perfect appetizer.
What I really appreciated was how accommodating the staff was when I asked about the ingredients and vegetarian modifications.
Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for vegetarians who want to enjoy authentic Korean flavors without feeling limited in choices. I’ll definitely be coming back!”
“Happy hour feels next level when you've got raw oysters, garlic fries, calamari, crispy chicken, and a cozy curry hot pot with noodles on the table. It's the perfect spot to chill with friends after a long day while catching a game! Those creamy oysters with the Thai chili garlic ponzu sauce? Total match made in heaven. Plus, the service is awesome!”

“Elegant, delicious, truly artisan donuts. The unique flavors and beautiful products show off a love for the craft of baking that goes far beyond mere donuts. I highly recommend Doughweime for any time that your sweet tooth is active, but especially for special occasions when you want your desserts to stand out. Awesome!”
“Yesenia is a recipe genius! Every dish I've tried from her blog has been a hit. Her recipes are easy to follow and always turn out delicious. If you're looking for foolproof recipes that will impress your taste buds, she's your go-to. Maltese local dishes .. elevated, sophisticated, just perfect!”
“I Took a chance to call from parking lot to order lol However, Jason was glad to place my order with pleasant and eager customer service. The Lady with pretty nails rang me up and was wonderful as well! I ordered Creamy Already Fettuccine with Chicken and Sun Dried Tomatoes. It was amazingly delicious at the first bit and came with slice of garlic bread. If You're a Pasta Lover, I highly recommend!”
“The first time I tried the lemongrass tofu sandwich at Huong’s Sandwiches, it honestly reset my standards for what a sandwich can be. I haven’t even been there that many times, but that one bite was enough to stick with me. The tofu is perfectly infused with lemongrass—bright, fragrant, and comforting all at once—balanced in a way that feels thoughtful, not overpowering. It’s the kind of flavor that doesn’t shout, but gently reminds you how good simple food can be when it’s made with care. As a vegetarian option, it doesn’t feel like an afterthought at all; it feels intentional, complete, and genuinely heavenly.
What makes Huong’s even better is how easy and welcoming it is. There’s basically zero wait, which somehow makes the experience feel calmer, like the universe is briefly on your side. For around ten dollars, you get something that tastes far more special than its price tag suggests. It’s the kind of place you can just drop by—no planning, no stress—and walk out with a sandwich that feels like a small win for your day. In a world where good food often comes with long lines or high prices, Huong’s feels refreshingly kind.
Eating that lemongrass tofu sandwich makes me feel ready for whatever comes next. It’s grounding and energizing at the same time, like a quiet moment of joy before the day unfolds. There’s something hopeful about knowing a place like this exists—somewhere that delivers warmth, flavor, and comfort so effortlessly. Huong’s Sandwiches isn’t just the best lemongrass tofu I’ve ever had; it’s a reminder that little routines, good food, and simple pleasures can carry us forward, one really good sandwich at a time.”
“Best and most underrated ramen in the Bay! The broth is so flavorful, the texture of the noodles is perfect, and the pork belly is so crispy. Good portions for the price and the owners/service are great. My personal fav is the TanTan! Can be a little salty so request less salt :)”
“The food here was phenomenal!! Our order was taken by the restaurant grandpa, and he was the sweetest. He literally walks away, and two minutes later, our food is at our table. The broth was delicious. Some of the best we have had around this area. And then best part is, it was affordable.”
“Food was decent overall. I ordered the tom yum expecting a classic, flavorful soup, but it didn’t quite meet expectations in terms of taste. I ended up switching to the tom kha, which was better and more enjoyable.
Portions were reasonable and the overall experience was fine. Not outstanding, but a decent place if you’re in the area.”
“My favorite Filipino food spot in the Bay Area! The food here tastes like home. The food is always good whatever you order, and the prices are a great value. I always try to come here regularly.
Just know that the inside seating is very limited and there are not that many tables. So, it's sometimes hard to get seating during busy hours. However, the food is prepared fairly quickly and table turn over is fast.”

“Great value and good flavor overall. The stewed meats like lengua were super tender and rich—definitely the highlight. The grilled options (tripa, asada, al pastor) were just okay; tripa could’ve been crispier, and the others lacked that seared depth.
The restaurant is clean, and service is solid, though it’s mostly self-serve—order at the counter and grab your own salsas and drinks. Easy, no-fuss setup that works. I’d come back and stick with the braised meats.”
“Menya Shono is a good quality ramen restaurant in the East Bay and I'm happy to have tried their original Ginjo ramen. Some standouts: atmosphere is modern and clean, pork chashu is slightly smoky in flavor, and broth is rich/thick. My party had no wait on a weekend lunch. Parking is easy in the public lot.”

“Have been here a few times already and everything is consistently delicious. Thought it was about time for a review! Most recently, I ordered the pho ga (chicken pho) just as it is and it was flavorful, full of good size chicken pieces, ample noodles, and the broth was perfect. Toppings on the side were plentiful (basil, lemon, sprouts, etc.). I also ordered a soda chanh (lemon soda) and some spring rolls. Again, never an issue with the freshness or quantity provided. Just loved it and highly recommended you pay this restaurant a visit if you're in Union City and are seeking a wonderful Vietnamese restaurant. While I haven't tried the other meat/rice dishes they offer (since I typically only ordered pho), my other family members have and will attest that they are made well and are of sizeable portion. Also, the family that runs this place is always kind and efficient. Thank you so much!”

“This is a nice Thai BBQ place. We got Phad See-Ew with chicken, Chef's Special Seafood Combo Plate which came with Shrimps, scallops, mussels, squid. Fried shrimp & fried calamari, with a chicken fried rice. Everything was good except I felt the fried calamari and fried shrimp had to much breading on them we ended taking some of the breading off. Overall everything had good flavor, also the prices listed online are not the correct prices in store.”

“If you crave a Hong Kong style restaurant, then come here. Food is great. Have the Hainese chicken, green beans with eggplant, and Japanese tofu dish. They are delicious. Wash diwn with their ying yang coffee tea and for dessert, the mango tapioca with purple rice. Service is fast and friendly. A great place to enjoy a good meal.”
“Was originally hesitant trying the popular poke bowl, but immediately the staff was helpful and welcoming! I created my own bowl and had so much fun choosing from the variety of fresh ingredients. Definitely was packed with love. 11/10 so fulfilling in all the right ways!”
“We went here for dinner tonight the service was good the food yummy so fresh we couldn’t eat it all so I know what’s for lunch tomorrow and we are going back next Thursday”

“Stumbled upon this bakery when waiting for Boba tea. This place has affordable, delicious sweet and savory pastries. The pastries and rolls are fresh and the team keeps restocking throughout the day. The sponge cake is a must try. It’s light, fluffy, minimally sweet and melt in the mouth texture. In love with the orange and vanilla flavored cakes.
The brioche cream bun, and the matcha red bean rolls are also on point.
Great snacking options. Must try place in town”
“Have been going to dragon house since i was 14 years old one of the best restaurants in union city very clean and friendly staff. Mongolian chicken and honey walnut prawns
Kid-friendliness: They have always been kind to our kids, they love coming here. Both have come since babies one is 10 and one is four and they both love Dragon House”
“We visit this Mountain mikes at least once a week. Every Tuesday they have 40% off large pizzas so get them while they are hot! The kids are always excited to go pick up the pizza because they have a few games to play to win prizes while we wait. The owner Richard is always so friendly and delighted to see the family. Maria at the register is also very nice and accommodating. We usually go with extra pepperoni or a half and half Everest. But either way, hats off to the chef! Thank you for making family dinner night easy and delicious. Make sure to download the app to start collecting those points for a free pizza!”
“Great boba and croquettes. Strawberry+banana smoothie was perfect. Really pleasant and fine ice texture. The brown sugar boba was tasty and perfect texture. Also some of the pearls were cold enough to firm up perfectly, reminiscent of a frozen strawberry or other fruit. The croquette was cooked crispy and included katsu sauce, I think.”

“I haven’t been to an IHOP in a very long time, but this was a great reintroduction. My friends and I were up very early and decided that we really wanted some pancakes, headed down to this IHOP specifically so we could go and see a matinee movie right afterwards. We were both surprised to see just how full the parking lot was. Thankfully, this area has so many stores in it that the parking lot is quite large, but that wasn’t even a problem because we were easily able to park right by the building. Though I would say their restaurant was about 75% full when we arrived, we were still able to be quickly seated and order our food. If anything, we took a little bit of a longer time just because we didn’t know how many things I have had updated and we’re looking through everything. They have breakfast tacos now! Anyway, I ordered a basic breakfast, pancakes, eggs, sausage, and hashbrowns and my friend ordered strawberry cheesecake, pancakes, and an omelette. The food came out very quickly. I wanna say we had about three people who were helping us, I think the three of them were all working in the section that they gave us and they had a nice rotation of someone bringing us water someone bringing our food someone checking in on us, and all three of them making sure that we were all good with How the food taste. Even as the restaurant hit 100% full, it never felt like there wasn’t someone who would immediately come and check in on us. I think we were there for about an hour in total, and most of that was just because we were sitting and talking and not eating. It seemed like a lot of families were also there, which was nice to see.”

“The seniorita bread was FRESH out of the oven. I ate one immediately and burned my fingers but it was worth it. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and butter and so soft and pillowy. It's hard to only eat one. It's even better when dipping it in coffee so makes a great breakfast treat. They also have donuts but I only wanted seniorita bread at this time. I will be coming by more often. It's baffling that this place is rated less than 4.5 stars. I think most of the reviews are from people who have never even been here, or are just upset about being asked to wear a mask, which is ridiculous considering the store is very small and it is not a bad precaution to require.Either way, when I came here, I was not asked to wear a mask. Although they do ask only one customer or party inside at a time, again- not a bad precaution since the place is very small. I personally would not want to be rubbing elbows with people in such close distance, pandemic or not, it's more about personal space for me.I guess people are unlucky or sensitive when it comes to their service here, because I was helped by a woman who was extremely kind. She even asked if it was ok that the 12 piece senorita bread I got was in a bag opposed to a box. Im fine with a bag since I'm gonna inhale the bread within a few days. There's also a sign that mentions 12 piece or less is in a bag so I appreciated that she reiterated the fact.Support Filipino businesses!”
“Raja Sweets catered our event, and we were thoroughly impressed. The food was not just delicious, but the portions were generous, ensuring everyone left satisfied. Karan's punctuality ensured the delivery was seamless, adding an extra layer of professionalism. The authentic Punjabi flavors were a hit among all our guests, earning rave reviews all around. Overall, a delightful experience with Raja Sweets; highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Punjabi cuisine.”

“Excelente customer service. Super friendly, smiley and fast service. Superb vibes and tranquility in the place. Super happy and satisfied with the pizza quality. I normally have the combinación personal size and it’s super delicious. I will rated the best place in town.”

“We usually had our go-to sandwich spots, but we wanted to try something new. We ordered from DoorDash, and it was made quickly. The staff was friendly, the location was clean and organized, and the food was delivered to go. The sandwiches were a good size, the bread was fresh, and the overall taste was good. We plan on going more often since we did a DoorDash pickup. I know we payed more, but I’ll review the menu prices next time and order in person.”
“This place was great. No frills counter service but what matters is the sandwich and this was very good. Banh mis in general have hit another level in pricing in the bay but if ur paying that u want a meaty sandwich and this was that. Well balanced and the all important bread was spot on. This place deserves a lot more business.”
“Da Good Vibes offers a delicious fusion of Filipino, American, and Hawaiian dishes. When they replaced the old restaurant, I honestly thought I was going to miss the previous menu, especially the mochiko chicken, which was the old spot’s specialty. I remember hoping the new restaurant would have great food too, but oh my gosh, they exceeded my expectations from day one.
I’ve been a loyal fan ever since. I’ve tried most of their menu, and their roasted beef is my absolute favorite. It’s incredibly delicious, although it’s only offered for a limited time. The chicken adobo and guava-glazed pork are close runners-up, and the chili rice is just as flavorful. The staff is so warm and welcoming that I already feel like family whenever I visit. Kudos to the chef!”
