“11/5/2018 I gotta give a shout out to this pizza restaurant. I just finished this long drive from long beach to LAX to santa Monica to NoHo. I drove by this place and said I am gonna go there as I drop off my last client. They were so kind, they let me use the restroom (which was for employees only), gave me a discount on a pizza and so I ate it from my hatchback. Top stars for service and for pizza in NoHo!“

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“Went here last night with some friends who raved about this place, and it did not disappoint! We asked our server, Mickey, to bring us her favorites, with wines chosen by Rachel, our sommelier. The quality of the food, wine pairings and service rank among the best I've experienced -- and I say that having dined at Central in Lima, Peru (#1 restaurant in South America and #2 in the world) in 2022. An amazing meal!!“

“My wife and I went to the Grove in Los Angeles last night and we had dinner at "Sogno Toscana," an it was outstanding. It was perfect in every way; great food, great drinks, outstanding and friendly staff, beautiful location, etc. I love Italian food but I can't think of one Italian restaurant that I like, until "Sogno Toscano." The food was outstanding, and there was so much more we saw go by that we can't wait to go back and try. And the drinks were outstanding. I love martini's and they served the best martini I've ever had. Giacomo was our server and took great care of us. He's from Italy and "Sogno Toscana" brought him to America when they opened their New York restaurant, and now he's in LA for this new restaurant. Although very busy, the entire staff were very fun to be around, and most of them are Italian which is also great.“

“Angelini Osteria totally lived up to the hype! We had a great dinner there that night and I can't wait to go back again soon. Let's start with the star of this show: uni pasta. Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The food is incredible, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We can't wait to come back and try more dishes on the menu!“

“Wonderful in every way. The best martini in LA. Shaken and chilled to perfection. Speaking of perfect, everything from the bread basket to dessert is just the best. The service is classic-impeccable, as is the ambiance. I'm so grateful this hallowed treasure is here in the City of Angels.“

“Lost my keys somewhere along Sunset and checked in with Ceci’s to see if anyone turned them in. They didn’t but ownership was so kind and empathetic that they handed over a fresh and delicious piece of tomato focaccia for my troubles. That’s what’s called unreasonable hospitality. Thank you guys, that was incredibly sweet of you and it brightened my day.“

“I’ve always been curious about this restaurant, and I’m so glad I finally went! The service was fantastic and super friendly. They even helped us pick out our plates. I absolutely loved my lasagna—it’s seriously one of the best I’ve ever had. Plus, the sodas are so authentic, I can’t get enough. And the best part I was sitting right next to the grove water fountain!“

“Three of us went to this lovely spot this week. The food was delicious, especially the beet salad. There was confusion in regards to the food being brought out to the correct table (the people next to us had ordered the same thing) but the manager went above and beyond to make it right. Well worth a visit. It took a 5 minute wait to be seated at 6:30pm on a Friday night which I thought was very reasonable!“

“It was our first time here. Most of the seating is outside, which can be problematic if you get cold easily, but would be wonderful most of the time in great LA weather. The food was good & the service was attentive. We will definitely go back!“

“Overall a positive dining experience – food and service were good. However, the atmosphere felt rather cold and impersonal. The place has the potential to be cozy and welcoming, but at the moment it comes across as quite plain and forgettable.“

“My friend and I had a terrific dinner last night at Civico 2064. We were looking for a quiet place for a tasty bite and this was a fantastic spot. Brandon greeted us at the door and made sure everything about the meal was perfect. The space is large but still felt cozy and the atmosphere is very inviting. We order a tasty starter to share and the short rib pasta which was sublime. I am Italian and the freshly made pasta and delicate, yet robust sauce, reminded me of my ancestral home in italy. There are plenty of authentic Italian options as well as a really interesting and large vegan menu. I love vegan food and can't wait to return and sample some things from that side of the menu. This is a terrific local eatery that feels both special and homey and we will definitely be back.“

“Our food was excellent! We had the Brussels sprouts, Pasta alla Norma, and the Cacio e Pepe. Great service, great food! Just a heads up that it’s very loud inside when it’s crowded. Fun, but not super conducive to conversation without speaking loudly.“

“We’ve been coming for over a year now, and every time we go the service is top notch. The owner takes a moment to talk to us and to make sure we are having a great time. Their cuisine is exquisite, better than other over-rated Italian restaurants in the valley. They always surprise you with their delicious tiramisu dessert.
If you’re craving Italian food, this restaurant will always hit the spot.“

“Funke does many things right, yet still manages somehow to feel both warm but not inviting at the same time.
It’s odd to me because I recently met Chef Evan Funke and he seemed to be a super nice and warm guy(and clearly very talented), yet his spirit seems to not shine as bright as it could in this particular environment.
A protege of Wolfgang Pucks from back in the day, he himself has become quite a celebrity chef with hundreds of thousands of followers on IG, and all the other things: book, tv appearances, etc…
I believe he’s considered the “Pasta God of California!”
While I have yet to try his other concepts, Mother Wolf (Hollywood) and Felix Trattoria(Venice Beach) Funke is his newest addition to his portfolio of eateries, if not a huge departure in menu from the other two; freshly made authentic Italian pastas and elevated pizzas and animal proteins with a thoughtful bar and wine list. It’s all very good.
The standouts are the squash blossoms and pizza for me, and olive oil infused craft cocktail, but I have yet to try the pastas so cannot comment.
I’m giving this a 4/5 because I can’t help but feel that Funke can’t decide what experience it truly wants to give you. As I said, it’s warm, but not necessarily inviting.
All that said, add it to your list for fine-dining in Beverly Hills. It’s worth going for the open-air rooftop bar and squash blossoms alone.“

“The service was great. The ambience was great. The pasta was amazing. The only thing I thought was just ok was the 24 oz. Porcini-Rubbed Bone-in Ribeye finished with 25yrs Aceto Balsamico. Not sure if it was the sauce but the steak was just ok but for the price I was anticipating the taste and quality to be like that of Chi Spacca next door. Overall the meal was great I just had high expectations.“

“(Spicy Honey Pie) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Thin crispy crust + pepperoni + honey drizzle, sweet and spicy flatHeng is super addictive!Must order!Cons: Too small, not enough for two people to share ($22). Rigatoni Vodka ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sauce is rich and a perfect blend of cheese and tomato, but you can get tired of eating too much of it. Garlic Shrimp⭐⭐⭐ The shrimp were fresh, but the portion was small (only 5 for $18) and the garlic flavor was not prominent enough. Tiramisu ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just the right amount of wetness, coffee liquor flavor, LA Top 3 level! But open until midnight, one of LA's few delicious late night snack options.“
“Where do I start. Liz and Maggie are amazing. They made my family feel like some type of celebrity. I can’t state in this short paragraph how blown away I was by the service we received. THE BEST SERVICE, I’VE EVER RECEIVED. The drinks were excellent and the food was so good. I recommend the wagyu meatballs. The dessert was so tasty. You really can’t go wrong with anything you order here. The piano bar is a musical nice touch. I really appreciated the attention to detail on the decor of the restaurant when it came to the music. I’m so very excited and satisfied with Osteria Florence and I can’t wait to comeback again. 10 stars ⭐️ thank you Francesco 🙏🏽❤️“

“This place is an absolute gem. Food is better than most formal sit down restaraunts at a fraction of the price. Great value for the quality, large portions too. It shocks me that there’s not a like out the door on a daily basis. It’s a must try lunch spot in the valley.“

“10's across the board! They are very clean, very courteous. When my fiance and were trying to decide what type of pizza we'd like the fact that he made suggestions to save us some money was really nice! The food was hot crispy and watery tasty! We ordered a medium pizza and we both ordered different toppings on our halves. The chicken wings were so good and crispy too. Cons: theres no bathroom, or cups or ice. They did have cold bottled drinks. These guys were super nice. We'd Definitely come back!“
