“love this place but lately the music is SOOO loud and it's always like pop or rap - not like ambient music. Very hard to work here now, and I used to love doing so here but tough to focus. all the people around me felt the same and were sad about it too. Please can you reduce the volume of the music or change to something more ambient..it's a lot.“

“Capt. Eddie at the helm of this Bread shop of Kindness!!! Thank you for your suggestions and genuine consideration. Well worth the drive from Pasadena to enjoy clean air, a stroll on Ocean, and see more in this superlatively walkable neck of the woods. Thank you. I will be back“

“Copenhagen Pastry is a gem. I love the Scandinavian simplicity of the design — elegant, bright, and welcoming both inside and out. The Princess Cake was absolutely outstanding — soft sponge, perfectly balanced custard and raspberry jam, and that light almond layer on top was perfection. The owner was very attentive, and the service was smooth and genuine. You can feel the care in every detail.“

“It's a charming little café in Green Street Mall. It’s quiet, spacious, and lovely. They offer a nice variety of treats and have friendly staff. My favorite spot is the refreshing outdoor terrace with a little artificial waterfall/fountain— perfect for relaxing. Plus, you can get your car washed downstairs while enjoying your treats!“

“We stopped in to try their Kouign Amann. It was flaky, buttery, and had a nice carmel on the bottom. I understand why its considered one of the best in LA. We also got a quiche Lorraine. Unfortunately, even after 5-10 minutes back in the oven it was still ice cold. We each had a bite and threw the rest out. We have had much better elsewhere. They had a line out the door, the whole first 30 minutes they were open. They had 2 small tables inside and one outside.“

“We visited Sweet Angeles today and had the best experience. The staff were super friendly and welcoming - it felt like they were genuinely happy to have us there.
We ordered the chocolate, Dubai chocolate, and strawberry ice creams - all were rich, creamy, and full of flavor. The Dubai chocolate was especially unique and definitely a favorite. We also shared a piece of cake (so good!) and an iced coffee that hit the spot. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing.
The place itself has a really cozy and relaxed vibe - perfect for hanging out and enjoying a sweet treat.
Overall, it was a lovely experience and we're already looking forward to going back!“

“Do you know what a vegan pastry wasteland the Westside of LA (and, you know, the earth) is, especially Culver City? If you have a sense of it, then you know this is a crazy amazing thing, this delicious pastry shop with more vegan options than I've seen in a looong time in LA. "Vegan breakfast sandwich". . . this was an impossibility in Culver City until now and it's tasty and not expensive here. Vegan almond and chocolate croissants; they got 'em. Vegan oreo cake slices; they got 'em. Please never close. Please never close. PS: Also 5 min walk to/from Hello Sunshine Kitchen . . . amazing!“

“I was excited to come here based on reviews and environment. It looked so cute inside and I was so happy to try it. I ordered a cold brew, but it was extremely watered down, so that was disappointing. The woman who took my order at the counter was not friendly at all, which really ruined the experience for me. It’s almost like I had no right to be there. I didn’t order any food, but the open faced bagels looked really good, so I gave the food 5 stars as a benefit of the doubt.
But I’m not sure I’ll come back based on the sour mood of the cashier.“

“Excellent place for all bakery products. This always a queue, soliciting the lovely Brazil. I loved the big Sangki bread and the Banana Bread. The hummus and yoghurt dip, what's awesome? It's her secret recipe for over the years. I heard conversations where the third generation had come to buy from the bakery. It is an excellent place to have your morning breakfast and start the day with an excellent taste combined with health. Reasonable prices great value for money“

“Best cookies around honestly. My coworkers and I have made this our go-to for office treats. The cookies are always delicious - love how flavors change depending on the season while keeping a couple staples consistent. The staff is always super sweet.
Highly recommend!“

“The workers are really nice, but this place is so overpriced and they charge for everything. If you get a bagel with cream cheese, they barely add any cream cheese and they charge you for extra. The coffee is small and it's at least $6. The bread is very good.“

“I recently dined at Milo & Olive and was truly impressed with the experience. Every dish I tried was outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The seasonal menu offered a great variety, and you can really taste the quality in each bite. On top of that, the service was friendly and attentive, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back!“

“Angel Maid Bakery is an absolute gem in Los Angeles! It's the perfect spot for anyone looking for stunning, high-quality sweets that won't empty their wallet.
The display cases are always a sight to behold—each cake and pastry is so beautifully decorated, you almost feel bad cutting into it. But your regret will vanish with the first bite! The baked goods are renowned for being light, fluffy, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming.
The selection is fantastic, offering a huge variety from their legendary strawberry shortcake and airy chiffon cakes to delectable cream puffs and individual pastries. Best of all, they consistently offer these top-notch treats at truly cheap prices for LA, making it my go-to for all occasions.“

“Special thanks to Laila and her amazing team for their outstanding service and warm hospitality. The vegan section and options are an absolute dream — so thoughtfully curated and delicious. I love that there’s a separate section just for plant-based items; it makes ordering so much easier and more enjoyable. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, which truly enhances the experience.“

“I stopped by this spot on the way to dinner over the weekend. Parking was a little limited, but there were plenty of public lots and street parking nearby. The shop is super cute, and I picked up a few cookies: Guava Cheese, KitKat Tiramisu, Ube Coconut Éclair, and Peanut Butter Banana Brûlée.
What I loved most is that they add the toppings fresh after you order! The cookies were soft, flavorful, and had a nice hint of cinnamon. My favorite was the Guava Cheese🤍
The staff were really friendly and explained each flavor. Next time, I want to try their ice cream since I saw a lot of people ordering it!!!“

“I stopped by around 9:00 a.m. on my way to go surfing and ordered a salad croissant, a turkey croissant, and a chocolate cake.
All the croissants were amazing — not like the ones you find at regular donut shops, but more like café-quality, with generous portions and great flavor.
The chocolate cake had just the right amount of sweetness — not too heavy, so I finished it right away! I’m even thinking of ordering it for my next birthday cake.
The service was great, and I’m really glad I found this place.
It might not be easy to spot and still seems a bit under the radar, but it’s definitely a hidden gem I’d recommend to everyone.“

“Exactly what you'd expect from a Marie Callendars diner. Had the chicken pot pie and it was flaky, though a bit watery. The salad and pie were quite tasty when paired with the pot pie. Could become a regular brunch spot as it appeared already to be for many there.“

“Fantastic! Very lovely people own and work in this outstanding bakery. Everything is utterly delicious. They do sell out by about 2:30 though. It’s reasonably priced too. My only gripe is that the payment machine-thingie doesn’t an option for tips so you have to leave a cash tip.“

“These heart cookies with the pink frosting were literally my lifeblood in the early 2000s as a young chimp running around the AMS Elementary School.I came back here for the first time in a minute this weekend, now a full grown orangutan, and can confirm these heart cookies with the pink frosting ($1.50) are still literal crack cocaine. I really don't even mess with frosting on cookies usually, but Becker's is just different.I paired an americano with my cookie, as they now have a Hi-Fi Espresso in here which I think slangs some of the best espresso around. It makes me feel like I'm in Europe idk how else to describe it.I almost bought a shirt, but I have SO many shirts already so I opted against it. However, when I was doing my due diligence for this review a sense of regret shot through my spine like it was an epidural when I saw Beckers has been around since 1942. I had NO idea that Beckers has been around since Joseph Stalin was the Time Magazine Person of the Year. Still so crazy he was Time's Person of the Year.......The business is still in the family after 3 generations (Shoutout to the OG Harry Becker for kicking it off), which really makes me want to go back and buy a shirt. I love places passed from generation to generation. No wonder these heart cookies with the pink frosting still taste exactly the same as they did when I was just a little chimp. Some free game for y'all, if you go to someone's party in Manhattan Beach and they don't have a box of Becker's cookies, they are a big fat phony..... ahaha I'm playin but actually OGs will always have a box of Beckers for a function.I should mention that they also have a deli here that people love, but I've really only ever been here for the cookies. You know why I'm here.As the money and botox continues to move into Manhattan Beach, this is one of the 5 or 6 places left keeping the soul of what I knew as a small local beach town alive.THANK YOU BECKERS NEVER SWITCH UP! I'M COMIN BACK FOR THE SHIRT!IG @jnov_Tiktok @jnov__“

“As much as I miss Maude, the Pie Room is a lovely hole-in-the-wall serving delicious dinner plates and pastries. We came for an early dinner, hoping to treat ourselves to a few main dishes and a pie.
What was a nice surprise was even though the chicken leg wasn’t available that day, we were the first to be served a fried chicken dish that the chefs were trying out. We also ordered the steak frites and the beef pie.
All the dishes were excellent, the sauce au poivre and homemade ketchup were amazing dips for the fries, the chicken breading left nothing else to be desired, and the smooth and juicy beef pastry filling made us wonder how the pie crust still held up perfectly flaky and buttery. A few notes: the chicken’s breading was amazingly crunchy, but a few parts surrounding the larger piece could do with less breading, and we wished the steak was larger. But nevertheless, an amazing meal.
Happy hour wines were delicious as well.“

“I lived in Venice before the pandemic, and remember Gjusta having the most incredible cold brew and pastries. 5+ years later, only the cold brew holds up. The pastries are fine, but they lack the crispy flakiness that separates a great pastry from a good one. The flies have also become a big problem out back. Still love Gjusta, but some of the shine has definitely worn off. Where can a man get a great pastry in LA??“
