“I can't believe I haven't done a review of this place yet. They do a rotating menu that features different cuisines on a monthly basis. I think the first time I went, they had Fiijian food and the second time they had Haitian. Their classic menu includes Somalian, Egyptian, Kenyan. They hire immigrant chefs that highlight their cultures which I thought was pretty dang cool.I got their pita chips with Baba ghanoush. They deep fry their pita bread but also give unfried pita bread if you prefer. But their pita chips are SO GOOD. it's like... crunchy but also chewy. kind of the best of both worlds. I got a lamb stew one time. or was it goat... It came with rice and a giant lamb shank or something. Bone was still on... kinda cut open and the marrow was still inside! Hell yeah. It was full of flavor. Lots of spice to it but not spice-y. I'm thinking maybe it was the Egyptian smothered lamb shank now that I think about it. I remember also trying some of the sambusas. Deep fried triangles filled with spiced, amazing, piping hot goodness. I love that they allow you to mix and match whatever filling you want... unlike other restaurants that make you order them in batches of 3 or whatever.Service was great. We had THE Christian Davis serving us, bringing us all the plates, describing what everything was and how it was made. An extremely pleasant experience... all for a great cause.“
“The greatest cookies I’ve ever had and it’s setup at a gas station! Amazing cookies and the selection is way more than expected.I had the walnut gooie, cloud 9, the chunkie and the chocolate oatie. All four were delicious and had its own distinctive style. They lived up to the “gooie” expectation and were really filling. I think two cookies were enough to get me good & the others were extra credit. Load up on napkins and the customer service was great.Just be aware the gas station didn’t have whole milk, just 2% but all the cookies were still phenomenal by themselves. I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.“

“I knew it was going to be fire from the crumb of smoked fried chicken breading I had from my bf's plate. I had to take a moment to prepare myself. The fried chicken was so expertly seasoned and crispy. I got the 3 meat combo, pretty reasonably priced for the amount of meat I got. The sauce is awesome and the meat is juicy and tender. I had to take my nose ring off cause I was so serious about this BBQ. Cornbread is so soft and fluffy and tastes like something your grandma made. The writing on the bricks from people all over were not lying. Nice people behind the counter and great vibe. Best food I've had in El Segundo.“

I had the Carnitas Quesadilla with no rice, beans only and a Pacifico brewskiThe portions were enough to last me a couple if days. My mouth is watering thinking about it . I rarely crave specific meals, treats, or anything . I want to go get one today. Doing some Spring cleaning and this will fill me up and then some. They were so so sweet here. Please tip the kind people whether you take it to go or not out it of the multitude of reviews I have given on this app over the years. This honestly night be the best food I have ever tried. ? Go get some. Just make sure you go before 4pm on weekends, and before 6 M-Th and they are open until 7pm Friday. They open at 8am on weekends and 9 during the week days. “This is the cutest shop for buying natural wine, cheese, or any other cool girl cookware/homeware items, and I'm happy there's a spot like this on the Westside! I came around lunchtime to try one of their "secret lunch menu" sandwiches and ended up ordering the Hot Girl Salami baguette sandwiches for $12 (since their regular sandwiches were $19). The sandwich was good and was generously stuffed with meat, cheese, and greens, however I wish I ordered the Franch Girl sandwich as the combo of flavors in this sandwich were pretty one-note. I would definitely come back to buy gifts for friends that are into food and wine (and pretty packaging). They had a handful of cookbooks, olive oils, some preserves/sauces, and even beauty products and candles. Bonus points for stocking one of my favorite natty wines, LS Gris by Wavy Wines. It's a very aesthetically pleasing and well curated space, and I'd love to return!“

This was the single best experience with a caterer I’ve had in all my party planning years — great food, super collaborative (and helpful) planning, highly tailored and themed menu with tremendous creativity and a BLAST having them serve the party. The themed menu and decor were the literal talk of the party and all my friends are following up asking for her contact info. Simply fanstastic.“

The taco cart catering company came on time upon arrival, we're very responsive with communication, professional, clean, on time with dinner service, fast with servicing the dinner buffet and the tacos were delicious! As an event planner we sample a lot of banquet style food and many are mediocre but these tacos were elevated! The meat was seasoned perfectly, the rice was so fluffy and they had so many salsas to offer. If you're looking for a fantastic taco cart seek out Juan and his team, you won't regret it.“
“This is the kind of resturant where the whole staff care about what they are doing. As a result, the atmosphere is welcoming, the vibes cozy, and the food delicious. It's a perfect spot for a lingering date night. The best part of the night was when Chef Genet herself brought out her famous Dorowat for our party. It's earthy and deeply flavorful, a real treat. The vegetable dishes were my favorites, they all tasted very fresh and bright. A few words of caution, finding parking in the area can be tricky. The space is a little dark and echoy, so guests with vision or hearing problems may struggle.“

“A great spot for healthy and delicious Mediterranean food! They're fast but the food is super fresh! Tania makes my orders with care and it always comes out just the way I want. I highly recommend trying them out for delivery or you can also pick up at a ghost kitchen on Sepulveda behind the Sizzler. “Emuna Catering went above and beyond... and then they went above and beyond that!!!I'm an Azeri Jew from the former Soviet Union. Not only is our cuisine very specific but our culinary style is vastly different from what catering companies are accustomed to in this country. We redefine what the term "family style" means.On top of a loaded cocktail hour, we were looking for a caterer that could provide 12 cold appetizers to each table, a few hot appetizers, and 5-6 different entrees that would satisfy meat-eaters, pescatarians, and vegetarians alike. And of course, on top of it all, it had to be kosher. I spent many stressful weeks talking to different caterers. None of them took the time to truly understand what I was asking them to do. And none of them could deliver.Enter John. John delivered on every level. We had an abundance of food. Shawarma. Chicken kabob. Shish kabob. Kubideh. Tacos. Avocado egg rolls. Moraccan cigars. And that's just cocktail hour. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. We had so much beautiful food waiting for us at our table after the ceremony concluded. I'm tempted to list everything here but it would make this review far too long. Nobody was hungry for one second at any point throughout the night and the food was amazing.There was also a desert room at our wedding that could have doubled as an art installation. The fruit was cut and assorted beautifully across the tables. There were so many different types of pastries. We had a tea station and an espresso station, both of which had a server who showed the most generous hospitality with their spirit. Everyone keeps talking to us about the desert room. My aunt just called me yesterday to rave about the wedding, specifically the food and the deserts. She told me it felt like we were all relaxing with everyone we love in a beautiful home that we created.Meanwhile, the bar at our wedding was outstanding. The bartenders were having fun with our guests. At one point, they brought out a tray of shots to the dance floor with bottles that had VIP sparklers attached. I had no idea they were going to do that. It was a blast. If that's not your thing, I'm sure they would read the room accordingly. But they understood our vibe and added a lot to our celebration.I'm telling you, John didn't deliver, he OVER-delivered.I probably called him 50 times throughout the course of the wedding planning and he always made time for me. “LOVE SURPRISE ME KITCHEN!! Friend told us about this concept - a menu with three things AMERICAN - FRENCH - ITALIAN. thats all you pick. They then surprise you with an incredible 3 course meal in that style. They do let you chime in with cravings/aversions (ie. want meat, dont want shellfish, allergic to peanuts, etc etc) but otherwise its a total surprise. I dont want to ruin the experience for you, but the service and communication are incredible. Pick up was fantastic. The menus were personalized for our event (birthday). There were a bunch of typos on the menu, but honestly we kinda liked that since it was a reminder of how personalized the experience was. I got French, my wife got Italian. Both were fantastic, but I think I won with the french menu. so so so good. We ordered again from them this weekend for a larger group of 7, and there was SO MUCH FOOD. it was delicious and generous portions. They also delivered this time and let us with a ton of environmentally conscious containers and serving utensils, as well as warming trays they picked up the next day. If this was served at a sit down restaurant Id expect to pay double for what we got. It's not only a fun gimmicky concept, but the food is absolutely solid.“

The ONLY thing I did not like was their nachos are made with Doritos instead of regular tortilla chips and it made them super salty it would be nice if they gave you a choice or even a heads up. The baby back ribs were excellent as well in both flavor and texture. The only item that needed improvement were the rolls- they were tough and a little dry on the inside- making me think the dough was overworked or just needs some tweaking. Really great food overall, and I would love to try some of the burgers and pulled pork items in the future, as they look really yummy!“

I don't know how but it's better than the BBQ here, I've tried multiple places but the brisket at Slab is just so good. “After visiting Hijo de su Madre several times for their award winning and phenomenal Yucetecan vegan greatness I was quite excited when I saw on their IG they were adding a vegan burger menu. It just launched a few days ago, but is already my favorite burger (got the Phat Hass Burger) in LA and I have had them all. Even more profoundly, they have the best loaded frots I’ve ever had by a landslide! Run don’t walk to try the new menu (will be on the delivery apps soon!) and then keep coming back because everything on the menu is perfection. 5 stars!!!“
