“VEGAN SUSHI! The BEST vegan sushi I have ever had in my life. You've gotta try the eel roll and the volcano roll. I don't know how they do it, but it's spot on to real sushi. The menu is 100% vegan, expansive, and offers everything from all-day breakfast to savory lunch and dinner options. Every item we tried (and we tried a LOT) was perfect. Tasted just like non-vegan food. Also their fries were bomb!

“I had a another great experience at Immigrant Son! Cortni was incredibly informative and engaging--she really listened to what I wanted and offered some great suggestions. I mentioned I was looking for something keto-friendly and protein-packed, and she recommended a side of chicken and a side of avocado. Simple, healthy, and surprisingly delicious! To top it off, I treated myself to their strawberry sourdough scone--absolutely amazing, especially paired with a good cup of coffee! Ronan, the manager, was exceptional as well. “I have to say this place is an amazing find and treasure. My husband was stationed in Greece for two years and while he was there we travelled to visit. While there we had some amazing food and oh boy do we miss it. Nothing compares to authentic Greek Cuisine and this place has it. From the Gyro to the bakery items, this place made me feel like I was back in Greece. I definitely recommend trying it out and falling in love. We will be forever customers ❤️“

“Channel Islands Juice in Ventura is a fantastic spot for high-quality (though not freshly made) juices and healthy bites. The chia pudding was absolutely incredible—hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, with the perfect texture and flavor. On the other hand, the Power Up smoothie was a bit underwhelming, lacking the bold taste I was expecting (I added coffee to it). That said, the overall experience was great, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff - Kai especially- who clearly care about what they do. If you’re in Ventura and looking for a nourishing, delicious option, this place is definitely worth a visit!“

“Went in on a Saturday for lunch with 3 people. Was able to be seated at a high top table straight away. Great vibe, friendly and quick service. We ordered dirty martinis and when we asked for more olive brine they happily obliged. We ordered fresh and broiled oysters to share as well as mussels abs lobster roll. All were fantastic! Even the bread with whipped butter was delightful! Loved this spot.“

The atmosphere was wonderful sitting on a warm day in the patio. The server was very attentive to our needs.

This is a place dedicated to SLOW FOOD. Allow at least 1 hour for lunch, at least 1.5 hours if you are having a dessert.

Food was extremely well prepared and you can taste the difference in quality and careful preparation. BTW, the crab cakes are the more spiced variety.

We REALLY enjoyed the Bread Pudding which is served with freshly prepared Caramel Sauce.“

“Favorite local place for craft cocktails. The bartenders here know their craft and they stock hard to find liquor that most local places don’t have. On my most recent visit I ordered a La Louisiana which in addition to whiskey and vermouth also requires Benedictine and Absinthe, which most local bars here don’t carry.“

“If I could give this place 6 stars I would! This is my go to taco shop in Ventura. My only complaint is they're closed on Mondays and I almost always crave them that day. Other then the tacos they've got many other delicious dishes to choose from including menudo on the weekends in the morning. I highly recommend the pastor tacos! Family run and the service is always spot on. I like that if you go there often enough they're most likely going to start remembering you and what you order and those places are hard to find anymore.

“Amazing Lunch Experience at Lucky Thai with beautiful view of Pacific Ocean

I had the pleasure of enjoying the lunch special at Lucky Thai, and it was absolutely fantastic!

The Spicy Basil Chicken was bursting with flavor—tender chicken, crisp vegetables, and the perfect level of heat from fresh Thai chilies. Every bite was a delightful balance of savory and spicy with fragrant basil shining through.

The Drunken Noodles with Shrimp were phenomenal! The wide rice noodles were perfectly cooked, soaking up the rich, garlicky sauce, and the shrimp were plump, fresh, and flavorful.

The meal started with a comforting bowl of Egg Drop Soup, silky and rich with just the right texture. The accompanying Thai Salad was light and refreshing, with crisp vegetables and a tasty, tangy dressing.

The portions were generous, the flavors authentic, and the service warm and friendly. Lucky Thai has truly earned its place as my go-to spot for Thai cuisine.
