“They’re made to order $1 Taco Tuesday is a tradition in my house! That’s also because our cook (me) gets a break. Everyone in my family loves Taco their Tuesday, even my dog knows what “Taco Tuesday” means and gets excited!
Their tacos are great, very authentic Mexican street food-style. Casual. Limited seating; mostly takeout.
Not strictly Gluten-Free because they have wheat-based flour tortillas or bread for burritos and tortas. So, dicey for celiacs.
Vegetarians should be fine, vegans OK with rice, beans, and tortillas. They can do veggie tacos and tortillas, just like in Mexico, except, there, every is Taco Tuesday.“
“First visit, weeknight, not crowded. Food very good to excellent. Beet trio appetizer superb. Not clear if the 3 dipping sauces were for beets or brisket but good either way. Fiancee had wagyu burger, excellent. I had the combo plate…brisket a tad dry, fried chicken very good, corn bread muffin & cole slaw great. Extensive wine list, top labels. We shared a flight and each had a glass of bubbly. Portion size good … I had leftovers for breakfast. Server Jeff casual but on the ball with advice. Menu somewhat limited, especially for vegans.“

“This place was the single redeeming thing in the area. I got stuck in this commercial cesspool for four and a half hours and wandered around for 3 of them trying to find decent food worth the price or some store that wasn't marked up for garbage. No dice. Finally found this place tucked away, so thankful. Had a couple drinks and chatted with old locals. Definitely support this place. In general I'll be avoiding the area but if I ever find myself there again I'll definitely go in for a drink and to get a brake from the depressing retail area outside.“

“I hired Willy to make me 9 pounds of his smoked brisket and baked beans for my Chanukah party for 30 people. Everything was DELICIOUS and easy to heat up in the containers that he gave me.
All of my party goers were happy and content with their meal.!

“I can't say enough about Basilico Italian Catering. They did the most amazing job at my wedding. Context: I used to cater society weddings in Washington DC (senators' kids, etc) and my catering captain who taught me everything was at my wedding. We were both very impressed with the professionalism, the food, the staff; Basilico nailed it from start to finish. Manny is passionate about food and it shows, the staff was so attentive and CARING - I can't think of another word. You would think that it was their daughters' wedding the way the paid attention to every detail and went out of their way to make everything perfect. Thank you!“

“Jerry and his team were absolutely incredible for our wedding reception dinner. From start to finish, everything was flawless and the food was one of the biggest highlights of the night. Guests continuously came up to us throughout the evening to tell us how amazing everything tasted, and we’ve already had multiple people ask for his contact information because they were so impressed.
Not only was the food delicious, but Jerry was professional, thoughtful, and truly cared about making the evening special. You could tell how much hard work and attention to detail went into every part of the experience.

“This is one of my very favorite restaurants in Martinez. I love the window seat when I can get it. Love the charming privacy it lends itself too. The service is amazing; especially if you get Darlene! She is friendly, efficient, clearly loves what she does! You are greeted as if your a long lost friend! The food is so fresh and very tasty. I've never had a bad meal in this place. They bring free bread with a balsamic dip to the table that is so good. I could drink the dip. Lol. Their CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD, DELUXE DUNGENESS CRAB MELT, GEMELLI PASTA WITH ROASTED SEASONAL VEGETABLES, AND THEIR COASTAL LINGUINI, (I substituted with chicken.) are some of my favorites. All theirs food is off the hook! Their prices are just slightly higher than the average; however, their food is great quality and they give a huge portion. They have live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. I've not been there on those nights. I feel quite confident that it just adds to the already charming atmosphere.
Just love, love, love this place.
If you only have one place to eat at in Martinez, this is it!

“I saw a sign for gourmet ice cream and I obviously had to stop in. This place beyond exceeded my expectations! I got the saffron pistachio ice cream and it is one of the most delicious ice creams I've ever had. Perfect balance of sweet and mild and I can see myself craving this. The people there were so nice and friendly as well. 1000% recommend!“

“For years now, Sam's has been my family's go-to for celebrations if we don't want to make food ourselves. The food is great and our guests look forward to it!
At this point the owners remember me and treat me with a warm greeting every time. Very much family feel.
My family's favorites are the rice, beef gyro, and chicken gyro. And I often get a portion of their homemade yogurt just for myself 😋“

“Great deli / cafe attached to a catering business. Sandwiches are outstanding. Meat piled high and very fresh vegetables. Roll was soft and light, also.
The deli operation closes at 2:00 pm daily and is closed on weekends. But in-between that, you can get a great sandwich here .
They have housemade salads of all types, incl pasta etc. I didn't try them but will - they all looked great
And, it is one of the few places to sit down and eat around here that doesn't try to shake a tip out of you at the cash register before even trying the food.
