“We came here for a dear friends birthday and BOA did not disappoint. Everything was great. The service, drinks, Rodney the security was awesome. We had a great time and we'll be back soon for sure. The only neg thing was that our table was not ready when we arrived and had to wait at the bar, but who can complain when your having a drink right?“

And seeing the menu in print certainly validated our sleuthy intuition. \nThe food was very good and beautifully presented, no argument there. But over $200 before tip with one starter, two entrees and one dessert felt overpriced to me. Portions were sized well - they seemed small but were satisfying and we didn’t leave hungry. \nThe music was also a bit too loud, although I connected to the playlist. \nOverall a decent experience. I wouldn’t necessarily revisit, but would recommend with the cost caveat.“

“What a find! I'm not in the habit of writing reviews but after a recent “Spaghetti Sunday” at The Georgian Room I find myself wanting to share this win. So rare to find a restaurant that delivers on both feel and flavor. Standouts were - (expertly executed) martini, crunchy/buttery/ herby garlic bread, perfectly punchy/ tangy/creamy + bright Caesar, made with crisp little gem lettuce, spaghetti and meatballs, just the kind you want - perfectly cooked pasta, straightforward meatballs in a traditional and tasty, comforting sauce. The service was top tier (warm and attentive). Such fun to be in room full of people enjoying delicious food together in a beautiful setting!“

“We came here for a coworker's birthday. They called ahead and prepared a special menu with our names on it, along with homemade cheesecake and whipped cream. We ordered the prime rib, broccoli and French onion soup. For the price, I would rate the steak 8.5/10. The service and ambiance of the restaurant was great. Highly recommended for dates, family dinners or corporate/clients.“

“This review is for dining on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at LA Prime Steakhouse at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles, CA. I apologize in advance for this lengthy review. 😊 Overall, our party of 4 had a very enjoyable evening. We arrived about 15 minutes before our 6pm reservations and had our pick for a table right by the windows facing North. The sky was clear, the view of the city below us and the mountains in the distance was great. The service was excellent from our servers Mark & Maria (aka M&M as they mentioned and made it very easy to remember their names 😊). Both were very friendly and attentive. The pace for our evening was exceptional. We did not feel rushed, were given ample time to browse the menu, enjoy our drinks and starters before the entrees were brought out. Mark or Maria would periodically come by to ask how our meal was, if we wanted another drink, whether we needed anything else and with the refills of water and coffee. Now, as for the food, I will say it was “good”, but not exceptional or 5 stars. Starters: Wagyu Carpaccio, Oysters Rockefeller & 2 orders Escargot – I ordered the Oysters Rockefeller. They were about medium sized oysters and somewhat tasty. I was disappointed that they oysters were not released from the shell before cooking, making it difficult and messy to scrape out of the shell or to use a knife to release the oyster. Others that tried the oysters had the same issue. I tried one escargot and found the size to be pretty small. They definitely needed more garlic, more butter and some parsley or herbs. Others felt the same. One of the best parts I enjoy with escargot is using the bread to dip into the garlic butter sauce. YUM. Entrees: 2 Prime Rib entrees (1 medium rare & 1 end cut). Good portions as menu states 18 oz., tender, good marbling, looked delicious. I had the end cut expecting bold flavors from the seasoning, but found it lacking in flavor. The horseradish and au jus helped a little. The Yorkshire Pudding was a bit strange. It was not at all what I was expecting. I’m accustomed to something like a mini Dutch baby pancake or it being light and airy with a big puff crown top, like I would get at Lawry’s or Tam O’Shanter. What we got was somewhat dense, maybe collapsed, muffin shaped and something I would not have guessed as a Yorkshire Pudding by the looks or taste of it. Party also ordered the Lobster Thermidor and the Filet Mignon with Lobster Tail. Filet was cooked nicely and was tender. The Lobster Thermidor and Lobster Tail was not tender, somewhat dry and a bit chewy. I’m not sure if it was the quality or maybe being overcooked. They did not enjoy these entrees. Sides: Asparagus Spears with Hollandaise Sauce were nicely cooked. Sauteed Mushroom Ragout – I think this was mostly chanterelle mushrooms. Do not recall any shitake or button mushrooms. I did not care for this. Creamed Spinach looked good, but I did not try this. After dinner, we looked at the city lights from our window table and enjoyed the delicious Starbucks coffee they served. We didn’t leave any room for desserts. SUMMARY: Ambiance & View – 5 out of 5 Stars Service – 5 out of 5 Stars Food – 4 out of 5 Stars Great place to try at least once. Food may be a bit overpriced and overall under seasoned. Service was excellent. You’re mainly paying for the view and experience. Our party had a great time and wonderful evening there. Would I go again anytime soon… probably not. There are too many restaurants in the city to try and there are always new ones popping up.“

“We had a lovely lunch at Tam O'Shanter, and everything we ordered was comforting and well-executed. The Scottish rarebit was rich and satisfying, with a perfect balance of cheese and toast. The burnt ends were tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of smokiness. Market vegetables were fresh and nicely prepared, providing a lighter counterpoint to the heartier dishes, and the mac and cheese was creamy, indulgent, and classic. The cocktails were wonderful—thoughtfully crafted, well-balanced, and a perfect complement to the meal. Combined with the restaurant's cozy, old-world atmosphere, it made for a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable lunch.“

“I ordered the special which was the steak, lobster and shrimp. It's a good deal, which is why we came here. But unfortunately many things make it hard to come back. Our waitress never refilled my water multiple times after passing my empty cup; the shrimp I received was all clumped together when it was cooked, leaving parts of it less cooked and still had uncooked batter on it; multiple crying babies and people playing videos on speaker on their phones.. So it's definitely hard to recommend coming here.“

The price was fair because everything looked good and was well served. The energy and vibe of the place was divine. “The food was decent. Flavors were favorable however it was brought out a little cold It took only 5-10 mins to bring out the dinner which I thought that was a little too quick. The drinks were really good. I decided on this restaurant because of their online menu and instagram advertised an “all you can eat” type dinner for around 60 dollars. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told that it wasn't something they offered. I was unhappy about that. Nonetheless the staff was very nice and I would definitely come back but only for the drinks.“
