“We were headed to our hotel from Venice Beach and craving Italian. Driving past Italy’s Little Kitchen, we decided to take a chance and try it out. When I tell you words can’t describe how delicious their food was. My 5yr old son rarely eats much of his food when dining out, he’s more of a snacked/small meals throughout the day and he ate 3/4 of his pizza. Below is my leftover Chicken Piccata and a sliver of their fresh bread. I didn’t think my food could get any better, but this late night snack was 100% better. The chicken & vegetables marinated in the capers & sauce. If you are in the area, you should definitely stop by. I promise you won’t regret.“

“We visit our grandkids (and their parents) from Florida. We stumbled across The Butcher's Daughter in West Hollywood (CA) and it became our faourite restaurant out here in 1 visit. The food is amazing. The actual restaurant is very different in layout but very appealing. The wait staff have all been top of the line. I went there last night with 2 friends that I haven't seen since we all went our separate ways 40 years ago (two are here in CA) and we had a great time. It was a wee bit noisy at night - the mornings are usually a little quieter. We took my grandkids there - 16-month-old twins - and again, the experience was excellent. We are all looking forward to going back again as soon as we can. Charles PS. The Mushroom, quinoa and beet burger with gruyere is completely mental - in a very good way. And if you want your country fries crispy, they will do that too!“

“Call ahead! The wait at the sandwich section can - at times - be a bit slow & tedious and can cost you half your lunch hour. Plus I don't love the fact that their default channel is "Fix News". Still, the salad bar is fabulous. Also, Maggie and Ruby absolutely rock! :-)“

“Every time I enter Meteora I feel transported into another world (one I want to visit again and again)! The gorgeous rainforest boho-chic design paired and the captivating global music that's played create a very romantic and magical environment. The food is delicious and so artfully prepared that I often find myself pausing mid-conversation just to savor what I'm eating (and looking at). The staff is warm, helpful and consistently welcoming. Meteora is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in the world.“

“Not a big fan of sitting on the side of street where people walk by and you intake that fumes coming from all these traffic. Got to sit inside by the bar, the food here is okay, but a bit pricey for what it's worth. Been to many affordable to very expensive sushi places in the U.S. and in Asia, this place is more IG/social media friendly picturesque place than an actual sushi/sashimi place. Not much nigiri/sashimi choices. Not a big fan of places that sell pre-made canned alcohol with an extreme markup.“

“Wow! Went here for the first time this morning and I was not disappointed! The bagels themselves are delicious. Crisp on the outside, soft in the inside. I got the whitefish salad bagel (closed) and it was so delicious and packed!!! It’s definitely worth the price that’s for sure. Fair pricing overall. Lots of street parking but not very many actual seating so just be wary. Would 100% come back“

“I don't even know where to begin... Two Hommes is an absolute GEM! My dad and I went last night, and from start to finish, it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Every single dish was perfection. We ordered the Root Beer Braised Short Rib, Chilean Sea Bass, Garlic Noodles with Bebere Shrimp, and a side of Herb Lamb Chops and honestly, every bite showcased the chefs' incredible skill and artistry. You can truly taste the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into every plate! The service was immaculate, and our server Nia went above and beyond. She was warm, attentive, and had excellent recommendations including the Suya Plantain Cake for dessert, which was absolutely unbelievable. Even though we didn't have drinks this time, everything else was so outstanding that we're already planning to return next month (we're visiting from PA!). Lastly, the ambience was lovely. “It was even better than I remember. I had the catfish po boy, chicken & waffles. The French bread, remoulade sauce & generous seasoning of the fish were delicious. “So good! We enjoyed all of it. Great vibe. Not too busy on a weeknight. Fun neighborhood to walk around. We each got the platter for one — he with butter chicken, me with Tikka Masala. They also came with daal and a special dish with garbanzo beans, rice, and whatever naan you chose. We also ordered cocktails. Mine was a spicy margarita and his was a Punjabi mango frozen cocktail. Both were very good. We also had chai with dinner and it was delicious. The server was very nice and gave us a gratis dessert of very sweet donuts in sauce.“

Later in the heat of the afternoon, take a break from the beach (right across the street) and enjoy hand scooped specialty ice cream cones and shakes. Oh look, it's dinner time... and Playa Provisions opens their dining room and bar, some of the best, most relaxed ambience you'll find for miles around. But don't let the casual setting fool you, this is some incredible, elevated cuisine. Chef owners Nick and Brooke (who you might recognize) crafted a menu that's I've been eating my way through, and have yet to find a dish that's not delicious. Wander into the back 'secret' whiskey bar, (Grain Whiskey Bar) and enjoy hand crafted cocktails from award winning bartenders (no, literally), in a gorgeous wood laden atmosphere. While I understand it’s a ramen spot, their décor and presentation are more refined than most, so the hectic atmosphere detracted slightly from the overall experience.“
