“I loved the atmosphere as soon as I entered LePho. It smelled fantastic and they were playing a playlist of songs by Cigarettes After Sex ?, my fave. The employees were very friendly and the rib eye pho I ordered was so delicious. Though it seemed rather expensive for a bowl of pho, the beef is grass fed and the broth flavor stood out compared to other pho restaurants. I will also point out that it seemed a bit greasier than it needed to be, but other than those two things, I really enjoyed my lunch there today! ?❤️“

“Saw this place on TikTok and had it saved for when I visit OC (im from SD). So when my friends and I went to Disneyland it was the perfect opportunity to try this place the day after! The food was incredible, everything we ordered was so flavorful and the perfect portion size. My boyfriend and I ordered the shaken beef noodles and the banh mi chao. My friends also ordered the banh mi chao and the banh mi bo kho (not pictured). Definitely cant find vietnamese food this good in San Diego! We also ordered a side of pho broth and that was amazing as well. Service was also great, our waitress was a really nice vietnamese auntie who took amazing care of us. 10/10 restaurant in all aspects and we will definitely be coming back here!! Highly recommend!“

“Wow, the taste was amazing - both the pho and the cucumber lemonade. The pho was richly and deeply flavored and was satisfying while still being bright and fresh feeling. The service was very prompt, friendly and helpful - the server understood my not liking overly sweet drinks and recommended the cucumber lemonade as refreshing while still having sweetness. It was, indeed, refreshing and sweet - perfectly balanced flavors. The server also wisely suggested we package the noodles and broth of our leftovers seperately. I almost never eat out, but I would if I lived near Soup Shop.“

The pricing is reasonable (expect to spend in the low 10's per person) and portions are good sized. They have two TV's in the case you wanted to catch a basketball game or football game as you eat. Would recommend if you're in the area, but would not be a place you drive out for.“

“I’ve found myself coming to this spot many times whenever I’m in OC. It’s one of the few places where you can find a wide variety of authentic Vietnamese dishes beyond just pho, which, honestly, a lot of places still don’t get right.

I’ve tried more than six different dishes here, and every single one has been flavorful, delicious, and truly authentic. It tastes just like home.

Some of my favorites are the Bún Mắm, Bánh Hỏi Heo Quay, Bún Riêu, and Hủ Tiếu Mì Khô—all so good and packed with flavor. I don't recommend Bột Chiên tho!

“I wish I had come here sooner! The food is fresh and hot and the staff is very nice. The portions are generous and it was so good I forgot to take pictures.

We did the combo platter appetizer which is a great way to test out two different springs roll (bbq pork and shrimp) and their egg rolls. The shaking beef and the house special fried rice. The bbq pork is a shining star, great char and delicious flavors. No complaints and we will be returning!“

“I’ve heard about Pho 79 being one of the best pho in OC. After finding Phoholic broth too sweet, I decided to try Pho 79, and it did not disappoint!
We arrived around 10:30 on a Saturday and waited around 20mins for our table.
We ordered a large pho, grilled pork with broken rice, and fried spring rolls.
I found the pho broth to be well balance just slightly too greasy for me but not a big issue at all! We weren’t offered noodle option so I’m assuming there is only one noodle option?
The fried spring rolls were decent but I think I’ve had better? This dish didn’t really stand out too much, and I will not order again next time I visit.
The grill pork with broken rice was pretty standard, tasted good but I think I’ll try something else or stick with pho for my next visit.
Paying for our meal was a bit confusing? I wasn’t sure if they would bring check over to table, but seems like others would go up to counter and pay so I just did that. It is cash only which is a bit inconvenience but I came prepared!

“Came here on vacation to try the banh canh, and it did not disappoint! Definitely one of the best banh canh I've had, it is very rich and was super flavorful, it also came out very hot which we loved! The service was good considering there was only one server. “Tran Co Nuong Kitchen is a cozy restaurant that serves authentic tasting Vietnamese food. The atmosphere inside is cute, it has a “tropical” vibe with the brightly colored lamps and bamboo walls. We ordered the cha ca la vong (Vietnamese grilled fish) and the bun cha hanoi (grilled pork vermicelli). Hands down the best part is the amount of herbs and lettuce given with each meal- other Vietnamese restaurants I’ve gone to give nowhere near the amount this place does. I think this really adds to the food appeal, since you’re able to freely adjust the flavor profile of your meal depending on your tastes and preferences. The Vietnamese grilled fish was the perfect amount of crispy, and I was really able to taste the infusion of dill into the fish. The meat in the bun cha hanoi was tender, and the broth was flavorful and was balanced out very well by the side of pickled vegetables. Would recommend to anyone in the area looking for a light and authentic tasting meal.“

Khoi is such a gem! The Vietnamese hotpot here is absolutely delicious, and the Tom Yum soup base is hands-down my favorite — the perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and comforting.
I also love that they offer Yakiniku-style cooking options with short ribs, shrimp, and pork — it’s fun, interactive, and everything tastes so fresh. On top of that, the variety of sauces is fantastic, giving you endless ways to customize every bite.

“Me and my husband and I have been here a dozen times this past year. The only spot we venture out to when we’re craving rice rolls now! At my most recent visit, I brought my sister and mom in to try! As my usual order, i got their #1 ($14) - They cook their rice sheets fresh with every order, the flavor of the egg rolls is delicious, first time ever having fried ham here and I’m obsessed, the fried tofu is always such a bummer for me since it comes of old and dry with not alot of joy in my bites. The highlight is their nuoc mam, generously placed onto every table, right beside their chili. Be careful with that chili, but you can’t skip it! I can't recommend this enough. This is our favorite gem.“

I mainly come here during lunch for the Bahn Mi sandwiches. My recent favorites include grilled pork, J&Q Special, and chicken sandwiches.
