“Wow! Raj and his team at Shri Ganesh are adding tremendous value to the Colorado Springs culinary scene—one of the best meals I’ve had in a while! We went out for a birthday celebration, and let’s just say I didn’t hold back on ordering. We enjoyed a variety of dishes: Vegetable Samosa, Chana Chaat, Butter Chicken Makhani, Salmon Saag, Garlic Naan, Mango Lassi, and Gajarka Halwa (a carrot dessert). Every single dish was fantastic! The samosas were massive and beautifully prepared. Chana Chaat was a new experience for me, but the chickpeas were flavorful and truly unique. Both curries were the best I’ve had at a restaurant—bursting with flavor and just the right amount of heat. Notably, the salmon portions were generous and perfectly prepared. The Gajarka Halwa was also new to me, but it provided the perfect touch of sweetness to wrap up the meal. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place more. The food is phenomenal, with every dish hitting the mark. The service was great—Raj waited on us himself and offered helpful recommendations. The atmosphere was wonderful too; it’s a spacious spot, so it never felt crowded. Plus, Shri Ganesh is locally owned, and running a restaurant is no small feat. With so many chain restaurants in Colorado Springs, supporting local gems like this is so important. It’s the kind of place our community should support for elevating our culinary scene. Shri Ganesh absolutely earns all the positive reviews it’s received. I’ll definitely be back, and I want to thank Raj and his team for bringing such an amazing restaurant to the Springs!”

Ms. Cleo (wife) runs the kitchen and the restaurant, until the husband Richard gets off from active duty military service in the army. “Don't believe these negative reviews at all. I eat here weekly. I lived in the middle east for quiet a few years with the military. The food is exceptional the place is spotless and you can't get a better staff. They even have their own grocery store so if you like it. You can buy it and make it at home. Great place for sure.”
“My wife and I stopped here before going to Garden of the Gods while in town for a conference. Based on reviews, we expected a good sandwich, but what we got was an amazing experience in every way! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, and to top it off, we sat at the humble patio in the back and enjoyed the view of Pikes Peak and the surrounding mountains while we ate. My wife is gluten-free and the locally made gluten free bread they use is incredible. Highly recommend!”

My partner’s food came out burnt the first time but Immediately as we mentioned it our waitress notified her boss and had the kitchen remake which came out much better and was able to be enjoyed. Not only did she help us out with the food but offered compensation and was very kind and welcoming to the feedback. I really appreciate people like Jaime who go above and beyond, will definitely be returning soon!”

“As a visitor to Colorado Springs, I’m already missing Shuga’s. I came in for both lunch and dinner during my trip and wished I had time to try the whole menu. Everything was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The Café Tray—which features the menu highlights—was a perfect sampler. The Cuban Mojo Sandwich and Key Lime Pie were excellent. Cocktails were perfectly balanced. The space itself is as thoughtful as the food. Beautiful art prints by a local artist line the walls, each representing a year of the business. There’s a cozy garden yurt out back that offers additional seating. It’s a unique, welcoming place with real personality. The staff clearly enjoy working together—it felt like a fun, supportive, family-like crew. I was lucky to be served by Missy, who made my day. I chatted with the chef at the bar after his shift; he was totally delightful and he clued me into his favorite local spots. Free street parking was easy to find, and I’d definitely recommend checking out their website—there’s a lot of fun lore behind the place. Everything about Shuga’s is spot-on.”

“Love this place so much! I’m not usually a fan of chain restaurants but my favorite thing about this place is the fact that they source locally as much as they can. We have been here a few times now and every single time it has been great. The food and service are consistently good. Every server we have had was amazing. I used to work in restaurant industry for years so I notice the little things. I love to see multiple managers on the floor talking to customers, refilling drinks, running food. One server I have to point out is Jennifer, she’s never actually been our server but always remembers us, specifically my daughter who was having a meltdown one day and she offered to bring her a bowl of fruit. And we weren’t even in her section. Great service, thank you!”

I did almost leave when I seen noone at the counter and the place could use some serious cleaning. I can only assume this is a management thing?
No employees = no orders = no food sold ... this is why places are shutting down all over town. Lots of people looking for jobs. So no reason to not have actual bodies running a restaurant.”

“Update: Unfortunately, due to 5 negative experiences in a row at Porkbutt, I feel inclined to alter my review. Because of constantly being out of items / deciding to opt for Gold Peak tea instead of the delicious fresh brew they had been using, I don’t think I will be visiting again any time soon. I’ve tried once or twice per week for a month to visit, and each time had to go elsewhere. But the tea thing really was a big blow for me. I LOVED their fresh house made iced tea. 😞 My boyfriend and I had been wanting to try Porkbutt BBQ for a while and finally had the opportunity yesterday. We pulled up at 11:52 and waited in the car since they don’t open till noon. They opened early at 11:55. The staff was 10/10. Knowledgeable, kind, and courteous. The food was INCREDIBLE. My boyfriend is a Rudy’s fan, but I’m not since they don’t have good sides in my opinion. But Porkbutt has amazing meat and sides. We got chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, sweet potato fries, iced tea, lemonade, and he got the brisket grenade. The cheese sauce on the mac n cheese and grenade was so unique, I asked a staff member what that unique flavor was that gave it just the tiniest kick, and she said hatch green chiles. It was really good. The nuggets aren’t frozen bagged nuggets, they are fresh cut chicken thighs breaded and fried to order. And everything in the restaurant is gluten free. They also have all sauces made from scratch, including the ranch which I dipped my nuggets and sweet potato fries in. And I’m an iced tea snob, and the tea was SO GOOD. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was the mac n cheese noodles were a little too soft for me, but still delicious. Even their business name and logo are adorable. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant!”

We arrived at 9:30am and when we started browsing many of the dishes when we arrived were cold unfortunately including sausages, bacon and potatoes. The carvery meats were also not very hot. These things add up when you are paying a premium price. Things that were enjoyable were the sushi, desserts (they had a strawberry mousse dome that was delicious) and we loved the As it stands it was lovely to come and experience the buffet however I don't know if it was worth the asking price. The hotel and atmosphere are beautiful. It might be more worth it if you arrive right at opening.”

“This was our very first time visiting Rib & Chop, and Father’s Day felt like the perfect occasion to surprise my dad with finally getting to try it after mentioning it for some time. Unfortunately, while parts of our experience were great, several issues made it less than ideal. ⭐️ The Highlights: First and foremost, our server Max was absolutely SUPERB—kind, attentive, quick, and knowledgeable. The hostess (whose name I sadly didn’t catch) was also wonderful—gracious, helpful, and quick to step in when needed. Their service was ABOVE AND BEYOND was definitely a bright spot of our visit! ⸻ 🚫 The Not-So-Great: Spilling Incident: Another server (a woman with a low bun and a neck tattoo) brought out our appetizers. While handing a plate to my dad, she accidentally knocked over his beer, which spilled all over my mom and caused quite a scene as my mom yelped from how cold the drink was and drenched she became in it. I understand trying to joke about it to lighten the mood even though my mom was clearly upset, uncomfortable, and soaking wet, but the server had the AUDACITY to BLAME IT ALL ON MY DAD! And NOT ONCE DID SHE APOLOGIZE!! THAT was what upset us the most and made this experience unsettling. Max, even though he wasn’t involved and likely didn’t witness the spill, rushed over immediately, apologized profusely, and helped clean up. His professionalism surpassed that of the other server. Mistakes happen—but failing to take responsibility in a service role is disappointing. We seriously considered boxing up our meals and leaving, but my mom encouraged us to stay. Manager Ryan came by while I was in the restroom and apparently apologized and offered to cover the cost of my mom’s dry cleaning. ⸻ Bathroom Issue: While my mom was in the restroom for over 20 minutes trying to clean herself up, I also needed to use the restroom—only to find no toilet paper in either stall. I asked two separate staff members over the course of 10–15 minutes, but no one responded quickly. Finally, the hostess walked by while asking the final employee, and she immediately turned around to handle it herself. She apologized sincerely, and I truly appreciated her urgency and kindness. ⸻ 🍽 Food Feedback: • Steak: I requested medium, but it was served well done and tough. Thankfully, Max noticed and had it remade right away. The second steak was fantastic—juicy, tender, and cooked perfectly. • Rice: Both of my parents ordered the wild rice, but it tasted burnt, like it came from the bottom of the pot… • Appetizers: We tried the Bang’n Salmon and the crab-stuffed mushrooms—both were flavorful and well-seasoned. • Entrees at the table included: • Surf & Turf • Turf & Turf with ribs • Chicken Broccoli Alfredo • Brown Sugar Salmon We also decided to try the carrot soufflé, which is now my dad’s new favorite dish. ⸻ 👏 Final Impressions: At the end of our meal, another manager, Chase, stopped by to speak with us. Despite being new to management, he handled the conversation with poise, professionalism, and genuine care. He informed us that our entire bill had been taken care of, which we were deeply grateful for. ⸻ Overall: While the drink spill incident cast a shadow over our visit, Max, the hostess, and both managers genuinely did their best to turn things around. Some food items were a hit, others missed the mark. I’m not sure the rest of my family will be back anytime soon, but if Max is working, I might give Rib & Chop another try.”

“WOW!!! Another One Of Our "GO-TO" Restaurants This restaurant has become one of our "GO-TO" restaurants when we come to or go through Colorado Springs. It is very conveniently located in the newer area on the north end of Colorado Springs. The food is fabulous and the menu feature of 1/2 sandwich and soup is just right for a light meal. The Monte Cristo sandwich is done perfectly!!! The chicken tender salad is always a favorite of my wife. Marie was on duty that evening - Leadship On Duty!!! Marie came by our table several times and when I see the leadership working the crowd it speaks volumes for the entire operation. Found the food was delicious, fresh, well cooked, very clean, the staff kept all the dishes replenished and our table servant was very courteous and prompt. The price for one senior, one adult and two children was under $50 including a $5 tip. The desserts were great also with a wide variety. No complaints from me or my guests.”

“District Elleven is a total vibe—moody, modern, and tucked just off Tejon in downtown Colorado Springs. We stopped in on a Tuesday and were pleasantly surprised to find happy hour running from 4pm to close (yes, all night!). The Drink of the Week was a total standout—The Myagi Blossom, made with gin, Aperol, honey lavender, and lemon, topped with boba. Light, balanced, and not too sweet—just right. It was fun, creative, and refreshing. We sampled several small plates and honestly, they were more generous than expected. Highlights: the perfectly crispy arancini, the hummus plate (topped with caramelized onions and served with warm bread, carrots, and cucumbers—my personal favorite), patatas vovo (a delicious spin on a classic), and the artichoke de fritas, which were divine. For cocktails, the Sazerac had a bold nod to New Orleans—traditional with a whisper of absinthe that hit all the right notes. I ended the night with a dirty vodka martini served with blue cheese-stuffed olives—beautifully done. We also shared an affogato for dessert, which was the perfect finish. Service was also top-notch—our server handled both the bar and our table with ease, making us feel genuinely welcome and well cared for. This place is a gem. Whether you’re just out for drinks or looking to graze and linger, District Elleven nails the ambiance, flavors, and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back.”

“As a visitor to Colorado Springs, I’m already missing Shuga’s. I came in for both lunch and dinner during my trip and wished I had time to try the whole menu. Everything was fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The Café Tray—which features the menu highlights—was a perfect sampler. The Cuban Mojo Sandwich and Key Lime Pie were excellent. Cocktails were perfectly balanced. The space itself is as thoughtful as the food. Beautiful art prints by a local artist line the walls, each representing a year of the business. There’s a cozy garden yurt out back that offers additional seating. It’s a unique, welcoming place with real personality. The staff clearly enjoy working together—it felt like a fun, supportive, family-like crew. I was lucky to be served by Missy, who made my day. I chatted with the chef at the bar after his shift; he was totally delightful and he clued me into his favorite local spots. Free street parking was easy to find, and I’d definitely recommend checking out their website—there’s a lot of fun lore behind the place. Everything about Shuga’s is spot-on.”

“Love this place so much! I’m not usually a fan of chain restaurants but my favorite thing about this place is the fact that they source locally as much as they can. We have been here a few times now and every single time it has been great. The food and service are consistently good. Every server we have had was amazing. I used to work in restaurant industry for years so I notice the little things. I love to see multiple managers on the floor talking to customers, refilling drinks, running food. One server I have to point out is Jennifer, she’s never actually been our server but always remembers us, specifically my daughter who was having a meltdown one day and she offered to bring her a bowl of fruit. And we weren’t even in her section. Great service, thank you!”

“I loved this place. Both in TX and in Colorado Springs. I see lots of complaints on here about them running out of some of the items, the long line and needing to get their stuff together. First of all, this is a new location. Maybe they needed to feel it out a bit to see how it went as far as guests. The line for in and out burger was 13 hours and to go there now, a year + later and you still wait an hour. In and outs fries are the absolute worst. Way back in the 70's whataburger came to Colorado. It had many locations and still got shut down because Burger King and McDonald's beat them. Maybe this is why they needed to see if it was accepted. I have been there for times now and I live in Aurora, Co and got happy when my son was coming from Pueblo just now and asked if I wanted one when he got to the Springs. Without hesitation I screamed yes then looking at the menu I saw all these reviews and was shocked by the bad ones. I am a native texan and last time I went at the beginning of 2020 to TX I went three times because I love it and I love it here too. Thank you for coming to Colorado Whataburger”
