“This is one of our go to sushi spots in the area. Great sushi and drink selection. Really love their lunch specials, especially the bento box. It typically comes with shrimp and vegetable tempura, rice, soup or salad (both if you get the salmon bento), and 4 pieces of either tuna roll or California roll.

Also love that there is hardly ever a long wait, that there are lots of table options, and that the vibe is casual. Service is also awesome.“

“Fantastic place, you can't go wrong. The service is unmatched. The fish is very tender and fresh, especially if you follow the waiter's suggestions. They are very generous, as well. Rolls are well filled and flavorful, plus their special rolls are topped with cuts as well. You can get a large meal for two with drinks for around $100 out the door and will really feel you've got your money's worth. The decor is a bit strange, but it's kind of amusing and charming.“

We got lucky that even though our reservation was for the small room of 2 tables, the couple at the second table was friendly and even shared their bottle of wine. If we go back, I'd ensure it only be at the sushi bar, which appeared to be a much different and more intimate experience with the chef.“

The sake pairing really elevated the experience and Kelsey did a fantastic job explaining each sake in splendid detail to really make them come alive. “7/10. Air conditioned toilet, enough said. Just that.. the urinal is behind that right toilet stall door, which is slightly inconvenient.. having a door you pushed aside slowly greet your bum halfway taking a piss.

Anyways, food was good! Chinese operators serving Japanese, which.. is a lot more common than first expected here. Sashimi was fresh, though the lunch sashimi set doesn’t even come with a bowl of rice, which $4? That’s a bad indicator. Still, eel sushi was average but hit the spot.

Vibe was alright, not too crowded around 1pm. Spent about $40+ for the sushi, and sashimi lunch set - though you get a free salad or miso soup. A bit much for one person, for one meal. So don’t come expecting to be filled for cheap. You can probably get away with spending around $20 if you weren’t a hungry fella like I was that day.

Overall not too bad, but not good enough to warrant the journey to come all the way here, unless of course, I was already serendipitously nearby. Enjoy.“

“Truly the best sushi in Denver and one of my most favorite restaurants ever! I absolutely love the heaven Roll and the Taki black pepper tuna rolls! I have gone to many coastal restaurants that serve sushi and none of them compare to Shiso sushi bar! They also have some nice non-fish items such as the teriyaki chicken bowl, my friend had ordered that before and it was really good! They truly are one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. They take extra precaution for cleanliness, customer service and quality of their food and I appreciate that so much! I often times will order their food to go as well and it always is a hit! Their dining service is nice as well and there is quite a bit of parking which is always a convenient addition to any restaurant. The owner Ken is a great guy and always remembers us and truly appreciates his customer base. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and like I said it’s one of my favorites! It’s also very close to Sloans Lake which is the perfect activity to do before dining in, check them out!“

“The fish was fresh and I felt like they were generous with the amount of fish that they gave, especially with the nigiri. They had a decent amount of options for non-fish eaters too which is hard to come by at most sushi restaurants. My only qualm was that the rainbow roll came with a chunk of crab versus the imitation crab that is usually comes with a rainbow roll but that was on me for not paying closer attention. Regardless if that, everything we had was great and our server was SO friendly and helpful.“

“We came on a Sunday before going to DCPA for a 6:30 show. They offer happy hour all day on Sundays, and WOW was it a bargain AND delicious. My friend and I each had a cocktail, shared 5 rolls (the Lion King and the Eden were our faves) and dessert, and our bill was under $100. Everything was soooo good. Highly recommend ... we will be doing this again.“

What We Tried & Loved:
Carne Asada Loaded Nachos – Perfectly crispy tortilla chips piled with tender steak, gooey cheese, pico de gallo, and sour cream. Total crowd-pleaser!

Chicken Flautas – These rolled tacos served in a cup were genius for a night at the bar, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and Cotija cheese.

Traditional Carnita Tacos – The street taco dream! Tender carnitas, cilantro, pickled red onions, and a salsa so good I wanted to take some home.

The combination of fantastic food, creative drinks, and lively ambiance makes Con Safos a place I’ll definitely return to. Highly recommend!“

The atmosphere is peaceful, the service is friendly and impeccable, and the food is affordable, delicious, and authentic. Aside from a large variety of every type of sushi you can imagine, they have a number of other dishes. As a vegan, they have plenty of options for me, and I highly recommend the sweet potato roll - it's my go-to. Stop by for a relaxing lunch break or for a lovely dinner, you won't regret it!“
