“Ammonia reminds me of the Greek bakery in Chicago near where I was born 78 years ago. Its plain, unpretentious interior and hearing people speak Greek while enjoying their pastries and coffee give it a very warm charm for me. And they have the best spanakopita and yalaktaboureko.“

“Our cake was decorated beautifully. The cake yellow cake was not moist but the raspberry filling was delicious. The instructions were to refrigerate until an hour and a half before serving. When we were ready to eat it the frosting was thick and not and soft like a butter cream frosting should be. We would try their pastries but would not buy another cake. Their cake prices are high comparted to other bakery cake prices.“

I walked in and was blown away by their extensive bakery choices, breakfast and lunch menu, and bright space.

Ordered “The Boss” bagel sandwich and a mocha and posted up at one of their tables on the patio. Within about 7 minutes I had my coffee and sandwich, made fresh to order.

They have plenty of outlets, even on the patio, a strong WiFi, and an ambiance that made for the perfect workspace.

“The baked goods here are delicious and the people are very nice. We have had tried their Naan, large Barbari style breads and their sesame bread. All of their breads have been awesome. The first time I went in it was pretty late and everything was put away but the last time I went they also had some pastry offerings up front. They did a chocolate chip cookie cake for my gym's 2-year anniversary celebration and it turned out so cute, we didn't want to cut it but it looked so tasty we had to do it! It was incredibly delicious, just like a yummy chocolate chip cookie, in bar form once it was cut into small serving-size pieces. The frosting was perfect, not too sweet, just right. Prices were extremely reasonable, the self-service area was very clean, and the staff was helpful and friendly. “It's a little store connected to the Entenmanns bakery. Lots of beads, donuts, pastries, they sell some bimbo products, and little bites, too. The only thing that's kinda annoying is they have all kinds of the little bites muffins, except the ONE I was looking for. Otherwise the store is very clean, well lit, it's just basically one large room with small aisles. Easy to find things. I love this store.“
