“WOW! 🤩 As someone who works remote, I am always on the hunt for a place with great food, coffee, and ambiance. Usually I can only find 2 out of 3, but I’m happy to report Petunia is the exception!

I walked in and was blown away by their extensive bakery choices, breakfast and lunch menu, and bright space.

Ordered “The Boss” bagel sandwich and a mocha and posted up at one of their tables on the patio. Within about 7 minutes I had my coffee and sandwich, made fresh to order.

They have plenty of outlets, even on the patio, a strong WiFi, and an ambiance that made for the perfect workspace.

“Our cake was decorated beautifully. The cake yellow cake was not moist but the raspberry filling was delicious. The instructions were to refrigerate until an hour and a half before serving. When we were ready to eat it the frosting was thick and not and soft like a butter cream frosting should be. We would try their pastries but would not buy another cake. Their cake prices are high comparted to other bakery cake prices.“

She gave great tips for executing a recipe successfully, starting to experiment with colors/flavors and shapes, and how to use different kitchen tools. It was fun hearing her tell about a training course she took with Amary Guichon! I would 100% recommend taking a class with her and would happily take another one in the future!“

Not only are their pastries and breads head and shoulders above the competition when it comes to quality of ingredients and quality of taste, but their team is equally as impressive! They just opened their new expanded location and it’s a haven for those who love food. Not to mention, the classes they now offer are top notch. The first time I went in it was pretty late and everything was put away but the last time I went they also had some pastry offerings up front. “I Called to see if I could get 10 churros and the gentleman was very kind and said he didn’t have any but he could make them for me to pick-up. Arrived to pick-up later, he forgot and apologized but quickly made them for me fresh and threw in a couple extra since he forgot! Churros were cooked perfectly - deep crunchy exterior, a soft and airy interior, with a warm cinnamon-sugar coating. YUM! Definitely recommend and will come back for more goodies.“

“I had not heard of this bakery but a friend suggested meeting there a couple evenings ago. This was the Burke, VA location. The choice of pastries was pretty amazing, what we had was fresh and truly outstanding, service was efficient and friendly, and the place itself was very clean. Will be back!“
