“I came in one hour before closing, hoping for a salmon onigiri. They were all out but offered immediately to make me a fresh one right then and there, and it was delicious! The edamame was also great, overall a very positive experience and I’m glad I found this spot!“

What was noted is how large the green tea mug is- that’s fantastic, and the bowl of edamame was also large. Minus a star reasoning- good food, quaint location, and friendly service, but nothing felt like “wow, I will brag about that meal”. And there are some sushi meals that I still think about today. So 4 is that’s it’s a good place to go, you’ll have really good meal, and it’ll be at the same cost of other places.“

“I am addicted to this place. I am in love with their Shoyu ramen with soft boiled egg and their vegetable tempura. There are many options for other ramen as well as other Japanese dishes and sushi. It's small but cozy. I just love it!“

Only thing I would have changed was how the servers stair at you while your eating made it kind of awkward but it was also nice because they were right then when you needed them. “We love Kobe An and have been patrons going back 30 years since they were in Lakewood. Marco has done an amazing job with the new -er location and his staff is well trained. His newer sushi chefs are doing a fantastic job which leaves him free to focus more on the front of the house. We told him tonight that the sushi is the best it’s been in the 30 years we’ve been going to his restaurants. The hamachi and mussels were outstanding, as were the rolls and cocktails. The new Kobe An is the real deal.“

“This restaurant hits every mark that most modern restaurants miss. I've never been to japan but the food feels so authentic. I ordered the bento box, and it was a nice sampler of what this place has to offer. The ratios were perfect, from the helpful serving of tempura to the precise amount of wasabi. Also, the best green tea I've ever had. Price, quality, and care are all the reasons why this restaurant hits every single mark. The food will fill you with joy that will carry you through the week.“

“Easy find an conveniently located. The sushi are so cheap, delicious, and well sized. Got 5 pieces of tempura sushi for around $7. They give you sauces at request and a good amount. The menu has amazing prices, especially in this economy. There's also drinks and snacks if you're interested.

My only true issue is the wait time. They only take an order or 2 every 5 to 10 minutes. I waited around 30 minutes for my order. I forgive this since there were only 2 workers and a decent number of customers. Bathrooms and tables are there while you wait. Clean inside.

If you're looking for cheap sushi- don't buy it for nearly twice the price at the target or Walgreens on either side. Get it fresher and tastier here.“

“This was our first time at this particular Tokyo Joe's and it has become my favorite. The restaurant was immaculate. Even the bathrooms were spotless. The food was fresh and carefully prepared. The staff were awesome, Kind and attentive. I dropped the lid of my cup that I had brought in and one of the kind people took it back and washed it for me. Though this is a little farther than the one we usually go to, we will drive the extra miles to this particular Tokyo Joe's.“

“I wanted to eat a bagel and drink some wine after going to the movies, so I saw some carnivorous plants instead. Since I was still hungry and thirsty I got a haircut. My hair was upgraded and I also drunk a bottle of wine. I got a tattoo afterwards. My leg looks fantastic and my bagel was also delicious, but something was missing. I got some sushi. It was brilliant but not as good as this bagel. I got a second one. That was missing. The second bagel.“
