“Truly the best sushi in Denver and one of my most favorite restaurants ever! I absolutely love the heaven Roll and the Taki black pepper tuna rolls! I have gone to many coastal restaurants that serve sushi and none of them compare to Shiso sushi bar! They also have some nice non-fish items such as the teriyaki chicken bowl, my friend had ordered that before and it was really good! They truly are one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. They take extra precaution for cleanliness, customer service and quality of their food and I appreciate that so much! I often times will order their food to go as well and it always is a hit! Their dining service is nice as well and there is quite a bit of parking which is always a convenient addition to any restaurant. The owner Ken is a great guy and always remembers us and truly appreciates his customer base. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and like I said it’s one of my favorites! It’s also very close to Sloans Lake which is the perfect activity to do before dining in, check them out!“

“This was the best sushi I have ever tasted in my entire life. I have never been to Japan but I can only imagine that it tastes like this. The yellow tail sashimi was AMAZING. It was so buttery and smooth and it tasted so amazing. I can still remember how incredibly it tasted and my mouth is watering thinking about it.“

“As someone with a shellfish allergy this is my favorite spot. The food is amazing, the service is amazing and I can enjoy sushi! They have been willing to swap out some rolls so I can enjoy them. (Example a Cali roll with mango salsa but they were willing to do a Philly with mango salsa. ) this has become our go to sushi!“

“First time getting sushi here. I’m no expert but what we got seemed fairly priced and the flavors were great.

Rangoons were awesome. They have very solid yellowtail. Presumed owners when i walked in were extremely nice and polite.

“This place has been a neighborhood sushi joint for quite sometime and went through some times where their service was not that great, but lately we could not be more pleased with the service and food. For example, today, the server was working so hard to ensure everyone has a joyous evening and a great meal. Our family appreciates this restaurant and wishes them many successful years.

“My family and I went here Sunday night and had such an amazing experience! The atmosphere was so lively and all the saff that we interacted with were very friendly. Our server, Tommy, was very kind and friendly. He was great about checking to make sure we were doing well, was on top with refills, reassured us with when our food was coming out, was patient with our chaoticness, and all and all was a delight to talk to and be served by. My family couldn't stop talking about how awesome and down to earth he was after we left. This place has amazing food, and great staff. Ten out of ten, will be coming back I'm the future!“

Kerri was amazing, all her recommendations were amazingly on point and the AGM, Lennon, checked on her staff and customers. I have to come to this area for work all the time - so I am glad I found this place!!

For reference, the Itchy Salmon and Cherry Bomb were also very very good.

“I got the titanic boat. The fish was fresh, but the nigiri wasn’t work it. You got enough fish anyways. I would just get sashimi and rolls. The fish was frozen and very cold. The miso soup had few ingredients and was mainly broth. The Godzilla roll was quite good.

Parking: The restaurant was difficult to find.“

“This is my first sushi after vacationing in Japan and I will definitely be going back. The tuna sashimi and fish was so fresh and tasted good! The service was amazing, they filled my tea right when I was thinking it was getting low every time. The fruit dessert at the end was such a wonderful touch and the fruit tasted so fresh and delicious. I also dined alone near the end of the day and they didn't rush me at all. In fact they told me to take my time and enjoy my tea at the end. I did NOT expect this good of sushi but I couldn't be happier with this experience. I'm telling my friends about this place for sure!“

Absolutely love this sushi place. It’s right by my work so I feel incredibly grateful. They have a wide selection of rolls at affordable prices. It’s honestly the best place I’ve found in terms of price and quality in and outside of the Denver area.

I am obsessed with the Dynamite Roll. It is lightly deep fried with eel and cream cheese inside. On top, they drizzle eel and spicy mayo sauce and top it off with tobiko. I also love their lunch specials (pick two or pick three roll options) and their vegetarian rolls. They even have options for people who may really not like sushi or want more options… like the Kobe Beef Roll (it’s awesome and has soy paper). I also have tried their Volcano Roll and it was phenomenal.

The service is always great and everyone is so kind every time I go. It is nowhere near WholeFoods or Grocery Store sushi by any means. If you think it is, maybe you just haven’t tried enough sushi to really make that kind of statement (commenting on a previous review) because that is just ridiculous. I’ve truly never had a bad experience here and I’ve eaten at Sushi Den & Uchi Denver for context.

The atmosphere is peaceful, the service is friendly and impeccable, and the food is affordable, delicious, and authentic. Aside from a large variety of every type of sushi you can imagine, they have a number of other dishes. As a vegan, they have plenty of options for me, and I highly recommend the sweet potato roll - it's my go-to. Stop by for a relaxing lunch break or for a lovely dinner, you won't regret it!“

“A fab place! My son has a sesame allergy and they were super accommodating!! Really friendly and great service. Would definitely go back when we are in the area.

Dietary restrictions: They highlighted the special Gluten Free menu. Also accommodated my son's sesame allergy with ease.

“I love this place, it's inside a grocery store, but they have a nice cafe with free wifi. Lots of grab and go options, but the chef will make anything you want fresh while you watch. Best part is the prices, it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get my sushi fix. Poke bowl is only $10 bucks.“

“We used to frequent this bar when it was El Tejano and we’re pretty worried when it closed. We came back to Con Safos for the first time after it’s opening and we love it!! A great atmosphere with AMAZING food prepared to order. Okinawa's black pepper tuna salad isn't a lot of greens, but comes with a generous portion of tuna that melts in your mouth.
