“Excellent restaurant on pearl street to get delicious food and drink. They have a great happy hour deal as well. We had a bruschetta board which was delicious, my favorite was the salmon and pesto. The chicken mozzarella panini was fantastic. The bread had the perfect crunch and was a sizable portion. It had a spicy sun-dried tomato sauce which complemented the mozzarella perfectly. The soup of the day was a chicken noodle with lemon pesto which was perfect on a snowy day.“

“We were unlucky enough to have a clutch cable snap on my motorcycle, but lucky enough that it happened not too far from Spirit Hound. The staff were amazing. They brought us iced water and checked on us while we made towing arrangements (it was super hot outside!). We decided to make the best of a bad thing and wait in the distillery. The cocktails were incredible, the charcuterie was amazing, and the staff and atmosphere were great. Despite the situation, we thoroughly enjoyed our accidental afternoon at Spirit Hound and we look forward to returning on purpose one day soon!“

“Best Christmas decorations EVER! My wife and I rarely eat at Czech/German beer gardens like this since my wife doesn’t eat pork (and I don’t get kisses for a week if I eat any), but after a joyfully exhausting day of meandering around Pearl Street on New Year’s Day, we passed this place on the way back to our car and our jaws dropped when we peered through the window. We didn’t care if the food was any good (though we figured it must be because the place was packed), as we were more than willing to pay just for the atmosphere!

The food ended up being outstanding, as was the service (props to Moira and the bartender for taking great care of us) and the beer. I was going to order a Paulaner Hefeweizen, then noticed the Honey Bite that adds some cider and Bjorn’s Colorado honey to the Hefeweizen. Highly recommended!

This is our new favorite spot in Boulder. Check it out, even if you aren’t in town during the holiday season to enjoy their amazing decorations.

On a side note, they have an awesome banquet hall in the back of the building that has its own bar and stage area. I'm really tempted to talk my colleagues into driving up to Boulder for our next work party!“

But what really makes it stand out is how it manages to be affordable. Its the little things. The fresh flowers in the alcove by the door. The delectable choices of food and drink and the warm honey atmosphere that make the laughing goat a boulder stable and a great place to go meet greet and be merry!“

“The real reason to visit Alpine Modern Café in Boulder is the food. I drove all the way from Denver just to eat there, which should tell you everything you need to know. The breakfast bacon croissant was excellent—fresh, full of flavor, and completely unforgettable. It’s the kind of dish you think about later in the day and start planning your return visit around.

The coffee was also very good—exactly what you want from a café—and the space has a relaxed, welcoming feel. The café is in a great location and easy to get to from anywhere in Boulder, which is helpful since resisting a second visit would be nearly impossible. Parking can be a little limited, and you may have to park down the road… but consider it a warm-up walk for the croissant. It’s worth it.

I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable meal and a great coffee experience, with a side of “why didn’t I come here sooner?”“

“PERFECT New Year's Eve at Cafe Aion. While the 4 course NYE special was very enticing we decided to have the WEDNESDAY paella and bottle of Spanish wine special. Such an inviting and warm staff and ambience. While many Boulder dining restaurants set time limits and hefty upfront cancel fees within 24 hours of dining, Cafe Aion shines above them all with a true Spanish cafe feel.“

“Shout out to the staff at Moxie Mercantile! My wife and I parked on the street next to their building today and went to walk around Main Street shops in Lyons, Co. I must have left the accessory on in my truck when I gapped the windows. When I came back to start the truck to let it cool off, it was completely dead. I went in to ask if there was a towing service in town that could give me a jump. The folks behind the counter said they weren’t sure. The next thing I know, one of the guys behind the counter brings me a jump start battery pack. I was blown away! I went out to jump the truck and was waiting for my battery to charge up. Just then, one of the other workers who was getting off at the end of her shift stopped to ask if I wanted her to jump it with her car. She pulled right up and we jumped the truck. We were on our way in no time, that is, after I got my quad iced espresso that had been frustratingly delayed by my battery. The coffee was good, but the service was sensational! Great people working at Moxie Mercantile! We will definitely stop in on our next visit from Iowa. Thank you so much!“

“All COVID procedures are being well enforced. This little place is AWESOME! I wandered in by Cvs chance today and was delighted to see such a wide variety of sandwiches. Upon employee recommend I tried the Ferris Brieller and I didn’t know “pesto jam” is a thing (still not entirely sure what it is...) but it is AWESOME. By far one of the best things I’ve put in my mouth— hands down. I just started working at CU and I can already tell this place is going to make a gluten out of me.“
