Absolutely a gem in Boulder, Colorado. Bobby Stuckey is a master of the craft and it shows in the way he takes care of his guests. That same hospitality has flowed down throughout his entire team to make you feel pampered and yet still right at home.

“Our first time dining at this place though we have wanted to go for a while after someone posted about it after they opened. Finally made it and glad we made reservations as it was packed since it was peak time Friday evening. Spoke with Koji-san, the owner, while we were waiting for our table and he also stopped by each table to check on them which we thought was great. We had the takoyaki, kaisen-mix okonomiyaki and the spicy miso ramen. All came within a reasonable amount of time and were delicious! Koji-san explained the background of offering takoyaki, which was so interesting and great for him to share. We will definitely be back to try the other menu items, esp their sushi, which looked delicious! Great to see a business busy and doing well!“

“I’ve been using Skratch for awhile. Switch between it and Tailwind but I prefer Skratch for my marathon training. The carb/ sodium ratio is exactly what I need for my fall race. The passion fruit guava is amazing. Wish it was not a limited edition flavor. All of the flavors are great as well. Definitely recommend Skratch“

“I had their veggie Momo soup; it was piping hot when served, hooray! Specified mild plus and I found that heat level to be just about right for me, it might be a little too spicy for some. (I find both restaurants in Longmont and Boulder to have an elevated heat level in their spice-o-meter.)

“SUCH an incredible date night!! The dinner was seamless in timing (we love longer dining experiences), and absolutely fresh and delicious. We felt incredibly safe having our own space. Our server was stellar, and we even got to share our meal with a couple of the farm pups! I can't recommend this enough!!“

They brought us iced water and checked on us while we made towing arrangements (it was super hot outside!). We decided to make the best of a bad thing and wait in the distillery. The cocktails were incredible, the charcuterie was amazing, and the staff and atmosphere were great. Despite the situation, we thoroughly enjoyed our accidental afternoon at Spirit Hound and we look forward to returning on purpose one day soon!“

“The real reason to visit Alpine Modern Café in Boulder is the food. I drove all the way from Denver just to eat there, which should tell you everything you need to know. The breakfast bacon croissant was excellent—fresh, full of flavor, and completely unforgettable. It’s the kind of dish you think about later in the day and start planning your return visit around.

The coffee was also very good—exactly what you want from a café—and the space has a relaxed, welcoming feel. The café is in a great location and easy to get to from anywhere in Boulder, which is helpful since resisting a second visit would be nearly impossible. Parking can be a little limited, and you may have to park down the road… but consider it a warm-up walk for the croissant. It’s worth it.

I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a memorable meal and a great coffee experience, with a side of “why didn’t I come here sooner?”“

Such an inviting and warm staff and ambience. While many Boulder dining restaurants set time limits and hefty upfront cancel fees within 24 hours of dining, Cafe Aion shines above them all with a true Spanish cafe feel.“

“I’m in town from Chicago for the CU game and my friend and I stopped here after the pep rally for some drinks and snacks. The folks that work there were SO WONDERFUL, and it was wild busy but they were all over it. Ari and Ben were the bartenders and were so kind and helpful! There was another very nice man, Alex, who was handling a pretty rowdy group very well. Such a great experience! Highly recommend!“

My go-to is the salmon poke bowl - perfect portions, fish is fresh, and the toppings are excellent. It’s a student-oriented restaurant, located on University Hill, so if you’re looking for top-grade sushi, adjust your expectations accordingly! But you can’t beat this in quality for fast, cheap, great quality sushi and poke.“
