“Took a quick imprompt dinner visit to Niwot Tavern on my way back from Boulder. With it being the heart of winter, I was in the search of serious comfort food - I certainly was not disappointed. I went there specifically for the shepherd's pie and I have to say it was absolutely amazing! I won't lie, when it came out with cheddar cheese on top of the mashed potatoes. I wasn't sure how I felt about that, but then I quickly learned that I loved everything about it. I had the Boulevardier cocktail and it was definitely not a small pour and was absolutely delicious. This is pub style dining. If you are expecting fine food and atmosphere, you will be disappointed. However, Niwot Tavern offers a nice cozy spot for yummy comfort food and friendly service. I highly recommend and will definitely be back to try all of their comfy, delicious offerings.“
