“This really is a Denver jewel. Coming from the South with a strong appreciation for Carolina and Texas BBQ, they hit the mark every time. The ribs, tri tip and brisket are incredibly good and the sides (truffle Mac n’ cheese, slaw, cornbread, bbq beans) are excellent. Service with a smile? Always. Happy smiling customers? Yep. Best BBQ in Denver? Absolutely. Unconventional, rough and sparkly, we love this place.“

It felt like a while in the moment, but I think I just showed up on a day that they had a slow start.I only got the Loco-Moco to go. It was very hearty, the portion was large and the gravy had great rich flavor to it. For my first Loco Moco, I was impressed. The portions are massive too, it was easily two meals.“

“Why have I not discovered this place sooner? My husband and I went today at the recommendation of a friend. It was fantastic. We split a rack of ribs. They were meaty, smoky, lean -- excellent in every way. We loved the original/traditional bbq sauce. For sides, I had the hand cut fries which may be the best fries in Denver. I love fresh, not frozen, fries, and they were seasoned perfectly. My husband raved about the green chili and the potato salad he had. This place is going into at least a tie for our favorite bbq restaurant in the area!“

“We could smell this place as we left Porter hospital. So glad we found it. The food is simply perfect. The pork and brisket sandwiches were so moist and delicious. The Homemade potato chips were fresh, crisp and perfectly salted. The staff were welcoming, friendly and so very kind. They quickly got our food to us. The were nice and super professional. They had obvious pride in their food. They offered us a sample of AMAZING Mac and cheese and perfect lil Carmel puffs with peanuts. “My wife loves fried chicken and I have been waiting for the stars to align between Stuboys Sunday only fried chicken and my wife's craving. Well it finally happened so we went to the joint to check it out. It's a tiny counter only place in the Old Elvis Movie theater building. Total family owned business with Mom, Dad and daughter. You can actually eat in but it's only a few tables in the atrium. At 3pm they were out of ribs and brisket. We were there primarily for the fried chicken anyway. Well the chicken did not disappoint and we got the family meal which is 8 pieces of chicken, 2 16oz sides and Texas toast. I tried the smoked wings with the dry rub. Tasty wings with a a bit of a sweet rub and good smoked flavor. The cost was 5 for 6.50. My order had wings that I thought were smaller than normal. The collard greens had amazing flavor and the fries were yummy. The chicken was sensational with a great crispness and tamed down herb flavor. Can't wait to try some BBQ next time.“

“I’m from Memphis. The owner of this restaurant is from Yazoo, MS and was inspired by Memphis style BBQ. He wanted to open up a shop in Memphis, but instead of competing with his friend, Craig (owner of one of Memphis’ best BBQ joints, Central BBQ), he moved to Denver and opened up Yazoo. “Have eaten here a couple of times. The menu is more than ample for anyone looking to satisfy a yen for meaty BBQ goodness. Also, plenty of delicious sides. I recently ate lunch here during my break so no alcohol for me but there is a well optioned bar here for libations. You'll need to enter in to the restaurant from the hotel, either through front lobby or there is a door back by Smok itself. There is a fairly tight parking lot out front or use the hotel parking garage out back. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very casual so don't worry about showing up in your uniform. We will be back here again.“

A decent amount of seafood options and plenty of non-seafood items also. Had the poke bowl, love the chimichurri on it! Fresh fish and greens, and a little bit of pineapple that gave it a nice flavor. The rice had a little too much butter I thought, especially for this dish. It's a big portion size, I could hardly finish it all! Good dish to share with an app if you're not overwhelmingly hungry. Hubby had the wagyu burger, came perfectly cooked and the bacon was so tender, and the fries were crispy and delicious.“
