Uncover Wellington's Mexican dining scene with Restaurantji's insights.
“Always a great experience at the Wellington Taco John's location. Our order didn't process through the online system but the manager got us taken care of right away. This is one of the VERY few places that our order is correct when we get it. Thanks ya'll! Keep up the good work!“
“Great food selection and variety!! I stop here often. Just wish that the wait times wouldn't be so crazy long! Takes around 15-20 minutes just for a small order with a few things. Definitely stop if you are wanting Taco Bell and have time, just don't if you are in a hurry!“
“Reminds me of Mexican food back home in Tucson. Im super excited to find this gem in Vanilla Valley...I mean Fort Collins lol! When you are over all the bland American food and nothing but burger and pizza joints here, head here to grab some Tamales, or burritos, tacos, you name it! Mexican pastries as well! Food was delicioso y sabroso! Customer service muy bien! And the prices are SPOT ON!“
“I have been there on several occasions ordering tacos recently. Specifically the carne asada tacos. They have a great flavor. The portions are plentiful and everything is fresh including the corn tortillas. The fresh salsabar is a good compliment to the experience. We have also tried their El pastor tacos and they are also very good. Many years ago they used to make their fajitas with a melted cheese and bacon on top my only regret is that they stop doing that. Service was a little slow but I think they are dealing with the same staffing issues as everybody else.. The most important thing is that the food itself is fresh, consistent and very competitively priced.“
“Went and grabbed empanadas tonight for dinner on our way to furniture shopping. Had the chimole chicken and steak empanada- my ‘go-to’s’.Also snagged a caramel apple empanada for breakfast tomorrow. Topped it off with some house made horchata and I was so satisfied! Excellent, authentic quality food served up with great service. We love coming to see Morgan and Azael and their beautiful storefront. Delicious!“
“Nice first experience with Las Catrinas food truck. We grabbed lunch during the Juneteenth celebration at Foothills Mall. We each got a burrito, I ordered the Pastor. My burrito had great flavor with some kick. Generously sized and very filling. I'd love to try their street tacos another time. Service was super friendly and our order came out within 5 minutes! Totally met my expectations for a food truck experience - quality food, good value, friendly service and reasonable wait time. Check them out if you find the, about town!“
“Absolutely love everything about this place! The food, the people, the store and bakery. So much fun having access to amazing authentic products to make my own delicious Mexican food. The tamales are some of the best, as are the tortillas. Would highly recommend this establishment if you want delicious, fresh and authentic Mexican cuisine and great prices.“
“Delicious brunch on the patio! We loved the breakfast burrito and Cancun skillet along with the cocktails! The tortilla chips are served with a bowl of refried beans and salsa. Everything was so delicious! Plus it was our anniversary, so they treated us to a cheesecake. Exceptional service, food and atmosphere!“
“One of the best happy hours in town, including all day on Tuesdays with a half-priced Tequilla menu. Also one of the most gluten-sensitive restaurants in town. Not inexpensive, but the food, drinks, and service are all on point and I look forward to exploring more of what they offer!“
“First, a little background about food trucks. In the 1990's, food trucks were much different - you didn't have a vast selection of specialty foods available. A food truck was more like a mobile convenience store, carrying the expired stuff that 7-11 had unloaded for 1/2 price in the wee hours of the morning. You only went if you had forgot to pack a sangwich or you didn't have time to leave the construction site. Nowadays, you can find energy drinks (yah) but also fish n chips, good Mexican, burgers, all kinds of food. Maggie's is a good Mexican food truck, better than 80% of the Mexican brick-n-mortar places in Fort Collins. The day I encountered Maggie's ,they were parked in the lot at Jax (the one in town, not the ranch one up by LaPorte). I was disappointed that Jax didn't have what I needed, and what's better than drowning your sorrows in food? Which I enjoyed. I got a chorizo breakfast burrito and a couple of Al pastor street tacos. The menu seems fairly large, and they had even deployed a picnic table and some plants to give the place some atmosphere. By virtue of location, one of the best restaurants in north Fort Collins. They're presumably mobile, but if you see Maggie's at Jax, you should stop and feed.“
“Settled inside/next to Equinox Brewing, Santa Elena’s might be Fort Collins’ most under-rated kitchen. Food never disappoints and is made from scratch! Shrimp Ceviche or Chicken Masa Quesadilla are both divine. Also, everything if Gluten Free.“
“This place is amazingggg. I came here on my lunch break, really wanted some Mexican food and this place did not disappoint. I got a fajita burrito with asada, a side of sour cream (which they asked if I'd like in the burrito, yes please!) And some salsa verde which has a nice amount of heat to it ? all for under $11 including tax and tip. This is my new favorite spot in Foco ❤️Parking: In the auto zone parking lot but plenty of space around it!Kid-friendliness: Had a whole kid menu which is awesome, will bring my family with me next time“
“What a great place! We stumbled in by chance when our original choice was closed and I am so glad we did. On a Tuesday night during winter break, the restaurant is not too busy. Easy to hear my husband across the table and have a conversation with some basketball playing in the background. I ordered a medium combination with a taco and an enchilada. It came with so much food that I only ate the enchilada and brought the rest home. My husband ordered the chicken molé, and was very happy! Before the meal arrived, we were served chips, salsa, and refried beans. Food took less than 10 minutes from ordering to the table. We will definitely be back! To have 2 full entrées and 2 NA drinks for under $50 is hard to find nowadays.“
“We have searched for years for good authentic Mexican food in Fort Collins and finally found it at the very top of College Ave.! Hands down, this is the best. The real deal. Brings back memories of many delicious meals we've enjoyed in Baja. We are going to eat our way through their extensive menu. This is a restaurant as well as a store. Staff is patient and friendly. Store is immaculate with a wide variety of items, including bakery and meats. Restaurant items are take-out, but there are a number of nice tables outdoors where you can eat your meal. Prices are very reasonable.“
“We had never been here. The group of us were in Laramie and Loveland. On a spur of the moment we decided to all meet somewhere for dinner. We ended up at Sol de Jalisco in Wellington. A very good decision as it turned out. Food, service, atmosphere all great. Thank you.“
