“An absolutely incredible experience and one I will be thinking about for quite some time. The team took amazing care of us and every detail was incredible. Definitely show up early for some inventive bites and conversation with Chef Peter. When the omakase started, I was blown away with how inventive and delicious each dish was. The team was accommodating to my preference to avoid onions, which I really appreciated, making sure I was able to partake in each dish without missing out. The sake pairing really elevated the experience and Kelsey did a fantastic job explaining each sake in splendid detail to really make them come alive. I’ve had a lot of sushi over the years, but this entire experience was possibly one of the most delicious and one of my most favorite. Definitely already making plans to return.“

“7/10. Air conditioned toilet, enough said. Just that.. the urinal is behind that right toilet stall door, which is slightly inconvenient.. having a door you pushed aside slowly greet your bum halfway taking a piss.

Anyways, food was good! Chinese operators serving Japanese, which.. is a lot more common than first expected here. Sashimi was fresh, though the lunch sashimi set doesn’t even come with a bowl of rice, which $4? That’s a bad indicator. Still, eel sushi was average but hit the spot.

Vibe was alright, not too crowded around 1pm. Spent about $40+ for the sushi, and sashimi lunch set - though you get a free salad or miso soup. A bit much for one person, for one meal. So don’t come expecting to be filled for cheap. You can probably get away with spending around $20 if you weren’t a hungry fella like I was that day.

Overall not too bad, but not good enough to warrant the journey to come all the way here, unless of course, I was already serendipitously nearby. Enjoy.“

“Truly the best sushi in Denver and one of my most favorite restaurants ever! I absolutely love the heaven Roll and the Taki black pepper tuna rolls! I have gone to many coastal restaurants that serve sushi and none of them compare to Shiso sushi bar! They also have some nice non-fish items such as the teriyaki chicken bowl, my friend had ordered that before and it was really good! They truly are one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. They take extra precaution for cleanliness, customer service and quality of their food and I appreciate that so much! I often times will order their food to go as well and it always is a hit! Their dining service is nice as well and there is quite a bit of parking which is always a convenient addition to any restaurant. The owner Ken is a great guy and always remembers us and truly appreciates his customer base. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and like I said it’s one of my favorites! It’s also very close to Sloans Lake which is the perfect activity to do before dining in, check them out!“

Absolutely love this sushi place. It’s right by my work so I feel incredibly grateful. They have a wide selection of rolls at affordable prices. It’s honestly the best place I’ve found in terms of price and quality in and outside of the Denver area.

I am obsessed with the Dynamite Roll. It is lightly deep fried with eel and cream cheese inside. On top, they drizzle eel and spicy mayo sauce and top it off with tobiko. I also love their lunch specials (pick two or pick three roll options) and their vegetarian rolls. They even have options for people who may really not like sushi or want more options… like the Kobe Beef Roll (it’s awesome and has soy paper). I also have tried their Volcano Roll and it was phenomenal.

The service is always great and everyone is so kind every time I go. It is nowhere near WholeFoods or Grocery Store sushi by any means. If you think it is, maybe you just haven’t tried enough sushi to really make that kind of statement (commenting on a previous review) because that is just ridiculous. I’ve truly never had a bad experience here and I’ve eaten at Sushi Den & Uchi Denver for context.

“I got the titanic boat. The fish was fresh, but the nigiri wasn’t work it. You got enough fish anyways. I would just get sashimi and rolls. The fish was frozen and very cold. The miso soup had few ingredients and was mainly broth. The Godzilla roll was quite good.

“The fish was fresh and I felt like they were generous with the amount of fish that they gave, especially with the nigiri. They had a decent amount of options for non-fish eaters too which is hard to come by at most sushi restaurants. My only qualm was that the rainbow roll came with a chunk of crab versus the imitation crab that is usually comes with a rainbow roll but that was on me for not paying closer attention. Regardless if that, everything we had was great and our server was SO friendly and helpful.“

Chicken Flautas – These rolled tacos served in a cup were genius for a night at the bar, topped with fresh lettuce, tomato, and Cotija cheese.

Traditional Carnita Tacos – The street taco dream! Tender carnitas, cilantro, pickled red onions, and a salsa so good I wanted to take some home.

The combination of fantastic food, creative drinks, and lively ambiance makes Con Safos a place I’ll definitely return to. Highly recommend!“

“I came here for lunch during work a few months ago and have since made it my regular lunch spot. The atmosphere is peaceful, the service is friendly and impeccable, and the food is affordable, delicious, and authentic. Aside from a large variety of every type of sushi you can imagine, they have a number of other dishes. As a vegan, they have plenty of options for me, and I highly recommend the sweet potato roll - it's my go-to. Stop by for a relaxing lunch break or for a lovely dinner, you won't regret it!“

“What an amazing sushi experience!

This was our first visit here and I'm sad that we are just now discovering this place! We absolutely love sushi, but always seem to crave it on Mondays when our usual sushi spots are closed. We stumbled upon this place online and the restaurant looked nice and food looked yummy! I'm happy we gave it a try, this is now one of our favorites!

Restaurant is very clean, and laid out nicely! You have options to sit at tables, tables with booths, and also up at the sushi bar. The staff was very friendly and attentive, we were sat right away! It was refreshing that it wasn't too busy either!

Food was AMAZING! They unfortunately don't have All You Can Eat options, but it didn't matter to us since it was our first time here. We ordered the Hako sushi roll, Crazy Salmon Roll, Playboy Roll, and the Red Dragon Roll along with some of the nigiri. We also tried the Pork Gyoza. Everything was awesome! The Crazy Salmon Roll is on the spicy side, so be prepared! It was really good though! For dessert, we tried the Tiramisu. It was good, but next time I'll get the Mochi ice cream instead.

The staff was very attentive and friendly! The bathrooms were also very clean (yes, I pay attention to the bathrooms because dirty bathrooms usually means other areas are dirty too).
