“We ordered the battered fish tacos and grilled shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious. The wait staff is super friendly and attentive. It was packed in there and almost closing time when we went, but to see all the staff work together and get everyone taken care of quickly and efficiently was cool to watch and experience. The black beans are DELICIOUS! The Zucchini was grilled to perfection. If you haven't tried the grilled corn, do it... you won't regret it! The fries were PERFECT... the crunchiness was uniform on all of them, not a soggy one on the plate!”

“3 companions and I dined at Populaire Modern Bistro in South Coast Plaza on 2/21/24 and I ordered the prix fixe menu. We bought a bottle of wine separately. The PF menu was $65 per person and well worth it. Everything was spectacular. The blending of flavors with the heirloom carrots was unique. I'm not normally a huge fan of tartare normally, but it was really flavorful. The beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth tender and even the rice pudding - which I can normally take or leave - had some wonderful, unexpected flavors. Don't be fooled by the "bistro" label. This was definitely a cut above the normal bistro fare of steak and frites or Croque Monsieur.Our server was warm and efficient. She was friendly enough to stop and talk but took her cue from us, which was much appreciated. The location used to be part of the Corner Bakery chain. It was remodeled in part, but it's in South Coast Plaza mall so not a ton of atmosphere. Once you taste the food, you won't care!”

“Wow. I forgot how good Maggiano's was. We started with the crab cakes which were delicious. I had the Mom's Lasagna which was great. My son had the Chicken Piccata which looked good. We also had a chopped salad and tiramisu for dessert. All excellent. Our server was perfect. For $6 each we then had a pasta dish to take home. For $6 the lasagna was a good deal.”

Not to be the person that's like "sweet but not too sweet", but the ice cream here is truly that. I tried the Ube Pandesal, Mango Sticky Rice, and seasonal Earl Grey Tea Cake, and they all popped off. “We LOVE Seasons 52! Although we live near LAX, whenever we find ourselves in Costa Mesa and deciding where to eat, Seasons 52 is ALWAYS our first choice! This time was no exception. We had the BBQ Shrimp flatbread and each had the 6 oz wood fire-grilled filet with asparagus and mashed potatoes with wine sauce. We came close to licking our plates! It was delicious. We topped off our meal by making selections from the mini-indulgence choices. The perfect amount of sweet at the end of a yummy meal! Even though we made our reservations many days in advance, our only choice was to eat outside. Although a little chilly for us, every effort was made to help us be comfortable by moving heaters close to us.”

“Best kept secret! I went to Ciao to catch up with an old friend. We shared a pizza and were able to order half buffalo chicken amd half Tuscan. Such a great idea when you're unable to choose just one option! The pizza was fantastic, but the real winner here are the wings. I absolutely love wings and get them everywhere I can. Ciao's wings are incredibly plump, juicy and flavorful. I can't stop thinking about them. We had the lemon pepper and garlic parmesan.Not only was the food delicious, the manager, Andres was so friendly and helpful. I will be back often.”

“To be honest I wasn’t sure what to expect with Atomic being in an office complex. I have to say this place looks like an oasis among the offices when you pull up. Plenty of parking and a nice setup when you go inside. Seating is available outside or inside.On to the food. I loved the breakfast burrito. Not greasy like other places, the pico de gallo was very fresh and specifically prepared to not make the burrito soggy. One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had! We also had sausage dumplings that were awesome.The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend checking out Atomic Cafe, I plan to make it a regular stop.Parking: Convenient spots available right in front of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Atomic is on the first floor with good wheelchair access. The sidewalk could be a little narrow but doable. High and low tables available.”

The plating was exquisite, service very attentive, and relatively low-carb, very copicetic with my diabetic precautions. The French Chardonnay we had enjoyed was lovely, paired well particularly with the scallop crudo, oyster and lobster dishes. It was also a pleasure to meet and chat with Yassmin, the co-owner and wife of Chef Tony. We are planning to dine here again, next time for The restaurant’s High Tea, which is offered on Sunday afternoons.”

I think the interior is really beautiful The man who sat us down was really nice My girlfriend and I talked for a while and ordered some drinks. Our waitress was attentive and gave us some time to look over the menu. Our food actually came out extremely fast. Which is always a plus in my book lol. Everything was delicious and the happy hour drinks were not watered down like at some places. Everything was great The only problem was our waitress added a couple things to the bill by accident. “I happened to stop by one day after lunch at Kitakata and was very pleasantly surprised. I've been a few times now and have tried their Kiwi Basil Green Tea and Strawberry Overload. Both have real fruit and are incredibly refreshing. As with other boba places, you can adjust the sweetness level. Service is professional and efficient, and the interior is clean and welcoming. Will likely be my go-to dessert place after ramen at Kitakata! Highly recommend a visit.”

“I came across this new restaurant when I was ordering breakfast items at the office. As I perused the menu, I noticed they had an attractive offering of healthy but delicious items to choose from. I narrowed down my choices to the power omelette and a date shake to wash it all down. The food arrived nicely packaged and the presentation was very pleasant and neat. The ingredients looked incredibly fresh, which compelled me to dive in for my first decadent bite. The scrambled eggs were fluffy and buttery (no fillers here) the sautéed mushrooms and spinach were very flavorful and yea, I devoured the omelette in no time flat, it was that good! I washed down my breakfast with the tasty date shake. It was refreshing smooth and not too sweet. My only gripe with the shake was that there were hard little bits in it that I had to spit out but overall everything was so good! Definitely ordering from these guys again soon! Happy Eats!”

“I stumbled upon this modern looking coffee spot hidden away in a plaza, and it was an awesome find! The pastries immediately caught my eye, each one looking extremely vibrant and rich. I got an iced chai, which was rich with a complex blend of spices. I feel like chais at other coffee shops are pretty plain when it comes to the blend of spices, but that is definitely not the case with this place. One thing that really stood out is how each drink was carefully handcrafted with attention to detail. Angel who was working at that time looked like a true artisan with how meticulous he was with every detail. The only slight letdown was the honey used as the sweetener. It wasn't quite to my taste, but that's more about personal preference than it is quality. I'll be back to try their golden ratio which is a turmeric latte and some of those irresistible looking pastries.”

“Simply Sweet Cakery was one of the wedding cake vendors through our wedding venue University Club by Wedgewood Weddings. Brooke and Christina were a delight to work with and so organized! To be completely honest, we actually did two different cake tastings because we were a little concerned with the cake texture during our first tasting and we wanted to try some additional flavors. We ended up choosing two cake flavors: lemon raspberry and red velvet. Let me tell you...I was completely blown away by the final product on our wedding day. The wedding cake was actually a priority for us, but let me tell you...it was delicious!! During our cake cutting, I stuck my fork in the cake for another bite because the initial bite was THAT GOOD. It wasn't overly sweet and the texture was spot on and so moist. So so happy that they were one of the preferred vendors of my venue!!”

“This place has been around for a long time, and there's good reason why, when most fast food restaurants go out of business in a few years. I first ate here almost 20 years ago when I lived in the area. I left many years ago but whenever I am in the area, I still make it a point to go have their chicken burrito. It is that awesome. The burrito consists of just shredded chicken with sauce wrapped in tortilla. No rice, beans or anything else. That's what makes it so unique, and honestly, the best tasting burrito I've ever had. Highly recommended for Mexican food lovers.”

“I have eaten at this El Pollo Loco for decades, and it has always been great. Wilson, Reyna, Silvia, Tina, Juan...they have an outstanding staff that cares about the customer experience. The bone-in chicken, the burritos, the special item (birria/carnitas/...), the tostadas, the salads, the sides, and the chicken tortillas soup are all consistently fresh, hot (well, not the salads), and delicious.”

But my absolute favorite drink here is the The Nook Way. It's a cold brew with chicory, hazelnut syrup, and oat milk. I feel it's a nailed perfection of flavors.I did try the iced Spanish latte, but it wasn't for me. The cinnamon was too overpowering in the drink that it eclipsed the other flavors. I do believe there's an option to tell them to leave out the cinnamon though.Service is hit or miss in terms of friendliness. I have encountered welcoming and cheery vibes about 50% of the time. I think the gentleman with the baseball cap is usually friendly, as is the other gentleman with longer, slightly wavy hair. But the shop is always lightening fast at making drinks compared to other coffee shops, so I won't nitpick too much on friendly service.Space: it's small, so don't expect to sit here for conversations with friends, or to study. There are some limited seats inside, but it's more for waiting for your order.I am also sad they disabled the ability to do online orders or to call in to place a phone order. “I don't know why there isn't a long line out in front of this restaurant every night. It is a small restaurant in a location that is slightly off the restaurant beaten path. But it is Onotria, the same owner and chef as the previous iteration of Onotria that has been one of the most highly regarded restaurants in Orange County - and definitely on of the best Italian restaurants in the county for many years. The original Onotria took a hiatus for a few years but is back now in its new location with excellent food - perhaps now a little more innovative and modern. The service also excellent with a little more warmth and attentiveness thrown in, perhaps a consequence of the small venue. There were four of us, we all sampled each other's food and all agreed that it was outstanding as was the service. It's great to have Onotria back. It's definitely one of the "must try " Italian restaurants in The OC.”

The beef in the Boiled Beef and Fat Sausage Double Combo was a very thin slice of meat, not marinated for flavor, and the meat selected was relatively poor; the cold vegetable scallion chicken was a tender chicken, which was not flavorful enough, and the presentation was not bad. This small restaurant is Sichuan cuisine eaten by Chinese people. It is not catered to foreigners, but the spicy taste is mild, so it is suitable for spicy beginners.”
