“TL/DR: Slightly above average food taste, but a nice chill spot with friendly staff. And relatively moderately priced for lunch. Got a specialty slice and a can of coke for $5.50, so pretty good!

Stopped in to grab a slice quick omw between jobs. Friendly staff and decent selection of pies to choose from. Pizza I got was a white pie with chicken, broccoli, and I'd assume garlic and such... it was ... DECENT for sure. WISH that they had a Margerita pizza for a sllice, but wasn't that lucky... womp womp... Nothing to write home about, but ABSOLUTELY much better than most places in the valley and chain establishments. FOOD WAS 3.5/3.75, but no option for half stars... again, even crappy pizza is still pizza...but this WASN'T crappy by any means, just a LITTLE bland IMO. Would DEF stop in again to try a grinder or a red pie.“

“I usually Don’t write food reviews but I’m fat sooooo….Ever have those tacos that claim to be a meal but eat like a snack , making you scramble to hit Dunkin afterwords for a coffee and a donut just because it doesn’t do it for you. “We had BGT for my son’s graduation party yesterday. Everything was wonderful . The pizza was delicious, so many varieties. The staff were great, friendly and accommodating. “Tried Pizzaro’s Pizzeria for the first time. My wife and I shared a large antipasta salad and a large cheese pizza with garlic, half pepperoni and half broccoli. Everything was great. While this is more a takeout place they have large booths and the service was excellent. The salad was awesome and so large we took 1/4 of it home. The pizza was excellent. Thin crust with a delicious sauce. I’m not a fan of the outer crust but this was so good I ate everything. I highly recommend their pizza. We have to go back and try their subs and meals as I witnessed many people getting these and pizza for takeout. I give it five stars. We will be back.“

“Used to go here all the time; over the years, got away. Had guests coming in from Portugal. Ordered sausage and mushrooms, route 67 and hawaiian pies. Fabulous! Outstanding. Company debated which pie was the best and there was no clear cut favorite. This family has been tremendous serving Oxford for years. We will not go anywhere else again. This is our go to pizza restaurant.“

“Ricotta is a great pizza shop 🍕 but they also have many other food items like fresh salads 🥗 and even sushi 🍣. Literally just down the block from Yale 🎓. Coming here Motzaei Shabbat is a great experience ✡️, and there is lots of comfortable seating 🪑. The food is delicious 😋 and the service is friendly and efficient 👍. Overall it’s a solid spot for a relaxed kosher meal in New Haven.“

“Catering Party @ Sally’s Apizza Fairfield On Saturday September 13, 2025, we celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The food, service and staff were phenomenal. We all know how great the pizza is, but the appetizers and salads were equally great. I can’t say enough about the wonderful servers, Dan and Brandon. There were efficient, kind, friendly and polite. They went out of their way to insure everyone was having a great time. The bartenders and other staff went a long way to help make everyone enjoy the party. I also want to thank the General Manager, James Layfield and the Catering Manager, Helen Blanchard for their exceptional service and hospitality. Between New Haven & NYC styles. These guys use quality ingredients and it is reflected I. The end product as well as the prices, which are slightly high, but absolutely worth it considering the quality. In addition to great pizza the wings at Whitney are amazing. Huge, meaty, super flavorful, FRESH wings are very hard to avoid.
They are open super late (between 1-3am while school is in session at The Q. Primarily takeout & delivery (they have a couple of tables and a few barstools), however the place is very clean. Even the restroom is glistening.

If you are traveling on the Merritt or I-91 a pit stop at Whitney pizza is the pro move.“

“We had the most wonderful experience at Caloroso Eatery & Bar. Unbeknownst to me, my family planned a surprise birthday party and had it at Caloroso’s in early December. Because the weather was still good, the party took place in the Sky Terrace…the space was very inviting and large enough to accommodate the 33 of us! Ashley and others of the Caloroso team made sure that no one went thirsty or hungry! The buffet of chicken parm, chicken marsala, pasta, salad, and more was totally delicious and plentiful! The large screen in the room made it possible for all to see the birthday trivia game through which I relived lots of happy memories and milestones! I had no idea what was waiting for me when I walked up the stairs and went through the doors into the Sky Terrace…and I’ll never forget the SURPRISE experience! “This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I ordered the meatballs, a pepperoni pizza, and a sopresetta pizza. There meatballs were good, they had a nice texture and were moist and tender, but i didn't get a lot of flavor out of them. The pizza was excellent. Great crust, flavorful sauce, and very nicely balanced. And the young lady at the counter was very pleasant and courteous. On a scale from 0-10, i would rate this 9.2.“

“Having an outside party? THIS is the best food truck to hire! Today, June 21,2025, I’m at my niece’s graduation party & this food truck was amazing! It’s like having a personal restaurant on your lawn. The pizza was fantastic -THE BEST- actually! Frank made me a gluten free pizza with potato, bacon & carmelized onions. Oh my goodness! It has to be the BEST GF pizza I have ever eaten in my life. Super thin, well cooked! I can’t say enough good things about this pizza. He made all types of pizza. Very organized, clean and so delicious! Wonderful people to talk to! Then they have other services like Gelato Giuliana-between the pizza and the gelato-it is the best of New Haven!
