“Coming home this afternoon from a class at the Y, I thought about what to have for lunch. As I approached the light in Deep River, I decided to stop and see what the nest had to offer. I came home with a warm ham and Bree sandwich on a beautiful brioche bun and it did not disappoint. It was truly a treat on this chilly day as I continue with their warm chi latte made with almond milk. Lucky to have them close by! Sosse Baker“

The staff, food, and overall satisfaction of my visit was perfect. Every Dunkin should follow after THIS location as an example. The food was made perfect, my drink was delicious and fresh, and the staff was so so so kind!!! I will return again!

“My wife and I stopped in today and ordered a Catprese and the Calico Club, along with the shrimp corn chowder, which were all delicious!! The owner Mark was very nice, asking where we were from and what brought us there. I explained we were on a daytrip to CT and had seen good reviews and buzz on Google. We were also curious about the "cat cafe" experience and he said we'd come to the right place. After we finished our lunch, we were taken to a separate room with six adorable (mostly sleeping but still loving) cats and proceeded to give pets and loves!! Thank you for the great experience, Mark and staff, and we will DEFINITELY return in the future!!“

“Nice place right on the main street in Essex. The cashier was very friendly. I was one of only 3 people in the place at first. It all went well until the barista decided to make the 5 drinks for the guy who came in after me first. It appeared that the customer was friends with the people working. Shouldn't have happened. I can only hope it was an oversight and not a blatant jump over a customer.“

They offer very beautiful pastries as well as a variety of French goods to shop from... my biggest complaint is that it is an hour away lol. Worth the drive.“

“Cozy sandwich shop that offers breakfast and lunch sandwiches. I only like doing a Google review if the spot hits. My friends and I got the western breakfast sandwich, a hash brown and egg on a hard roll, and a tuna salad sandwich. We also got a raspberry chocolate and Vermont maple iced coffees that tasted exactly like their names! The sandwiches were so fresh and the tuna salad slapped it was so good!!!! The lady running the shop was very nice and was fast in making the food. We could see her making it and everything looked fresh and the kitchen was very clean. Highly recommend this little gem as we stopped in on the way down to Clinton outlets.“

“The only Dunkin I will go to 1635 Boston post rd old saybrook. There is a girl who works there goes by the name of Katie/kate/Kaitlyn she has great customer skills. Always greets us with a smile. She makes us laugh. She is very nice. Always makes sure our order is right. Whatever you do give this girl a raise. It is so hard to find someone who has that much friendly customer service“

“I pulled into a Dunkin Donuts right off of 95 early on a Sunday morning March 11, 2018. I had started my trip back to Virginia after an Emergency visit to my mom at the Middlesex Hospital. A dummy light on my dashboard indicated I had low tire pressure. The Toyota Dealership next door to the Dunkin was Closed. I had not had breakfast yet so I sought out the Dunkin. The employees there were THE BEST. While this very personable young lady took my order, she listened to my trouble and immediately tried to assist me all she could by finding out if the Toyota Dealership was open today and if so at what time. It wasn't, so she started contacting other people she knew who could help me with my tire issue. The young man prepared my food order. The latte was Great and the Breakfast Sandwich was perfect. The Store Manager went out In The Cold with a Tire Pressure gauge and located the tire that was low. She asked the service station attendant to assist me with Air for the tire. I was able to put air in the tire and continue home on my trip. My local Toyota dealership confirmed I had a Nail in That tire. My day could have been miserable, but these Young People stepped up and Turned it around. Thank you so much for ALL your help!! They should all be commended.“

“The best DD on i95 exit 63 in Connecticut near the Clinton Factory Outlets. The employees are very friendly and professional too. Always smiling. Bathroom very clean. Eat-in is favorable. Ample and super clean parking lots. Next door is ColdStone icecream... yummy. If you need emergency repairs on your phone, there is AT&T. The employees are superb. You could fix vacuum cleaners at Orec. If you are traveling with pets.. YES.. Petco is here too.. the employees know what they are doing.. and next door is Mattress Firm.. been there many times.. made me sleepy.

“Moodus Mud Coffee has been a staple in our house for several years now. We’ve been using their whole bean coffee every morning since our local grocery store started carrying it. I just visited their new in-person location in downtown Moodus. Their freshly brewed coffee was excellent (as always!). The owners are passionate about what they do. They’re excited to share their vision for growing into the new space they’re building out. If you’re looking for a great cup of coffee, I’d definitely make stopping here a priority. Looking forward to visiting their shop on a regular basis.“

And I like a light roast—dark roasts feel like Red Bull in comparison, harsh and exaggerated, masking the subtlety of the individual bean flavors. As fanatics do, I researched light roasts, and found out that most first-crack light-roast fanatics recommend the Norwegians, like Tim Wendelboe or Solber & Hansen, so I tried them, despite the international shipping costs. They are incredibly patient with people even when the customers are being nasty, rude, loud and very impatient. They handle this behavior with smile and never a cross attitude.
