I came home with a warm ham and Bree sandwich on a beautiful brioche bun and it did not disappoint. “Nice place right on the main street in Essex. The cashier was very friendly. I was one of only 3 people in the place at first. It all went well until the barista decided to make the 5 drinks for the guy who came in after me first. It appeared that the customer was friends with the people working. Shouldn't have happened. I can only hope it was an oversight and not a blatant jump over a customer.“

“My wife and I stopped in today and ordered a Catprese and the Calico Club, along with the shrimp corn chowder, which were all delicious!! The owner Mark was very nice, asking where we were from and what brought us there. I explained we were on a daytrip to CT and had seen good reviews and buzz on Google. We were also curious about the "cat cafe" experience and he said we'd come to the right place. After we finished our lunch, we were taken to a separate room with six adorable (mostly sleeping but still loving) cats and proceeded to give pets and loves!! Thank you for the great experience, Mark and staff, and we will DEFINITELY return in the future!!“

“Worth a drive to enjoy their fabulous variety of eggs en cocotte (baked in a flame proof deep cup with bread and additions like carmelized onions or lardons of bacon) served with toasted baguette and heavenly potatoes. The croissants and other pastries are wonderful, and there’s a shop offering exquisite patisserie and all sorts of lovely giftware and sweets, including gelato. The pharmacy itself is a beautiful antique gem that remains unspoiled and homey. The coffee is fabulous too.

“I pulled into a Dunkin Donuts right off of 95 early on a Sunday morning March 11, 2018. I had started my trip back to Virginia after an Emergency visit to my mom at the Middlesex Hospital. A dummy light on my dashboard indicated I had low tire pressure. The Toyota Dealership next door to the Dunkin was Closed. I had not had breakfast yet so I sought out the Dunkin. The employees there were THE BEST. While this very personable young lady took my order, she listened to my trouble and immediately tried to assist me all she could by finding out if the Toyota Dealership was open today and if so at what time. It wasn't, so she started contacting other people she knew who could help me with my tire issue. The young man prepared my food order. The latte was Great and the Breakfast Sandwich was perfect. The Store Manager went out In The Cold with a Tire Pressure gauge and located the tire that was low. She asked the service station attendant to assist me with Air for the tire. I was able to put air in the tire and continue home on my trip. My local Toyota dealership confirmed I had a Nail in That tire. My day could have been miserable, but these Young People stepped up and Turned it around. Thank you so much for ALL your help!! They should all be commended.“

“The only Dunkin I will go to 1635 Boston post rd old saybrook. There is a girl who works there goes by the name of Katie/kate/Kaitlyn she has great customer skills. Always greets us with a smile. She makes us laugh. She is very nice. Always makes sure our order is right. Whatever you do give this girl a raise. It is so hard to find someone who has that much friendly customer service“

“The best DD on i95 exit 63 in Connecticut near the Clinton Factory Outlets. The employees are very friendly and professional too. Always smiling. Bathroom very clean. Eat-in is favorable. Ample and super clean parking lots. Next door is ColdStone icecream... yummy. If you need emergency repairs on your phone, there is AT&T. The employees are superb. You could fix vacuum cleaners at Orec. If you are traveling with pets.. YES.. Petco is here too.. the employees know what they are doing.. and next door is Mattress Firm.. been there many times.. made me sleepy.

And I like a light roast—dark roasts feel like Red Bull in comparison, harsh and exaggerated, masking the subtlety of the individual bean flavors. As fanatics do, I researched light roasts, and found out that most first-crack light-roast fanatics recommend the Norwegians, like Tim Wendelboe or Solber & Hansen, so I tried them, despite the international shipping costs. And you know what? They're not as good as Zoe's light roasts. What a treasure to have a roasting genius just across the bridge.“

“I had some business to attend to in the area and didn't want to stay in a mediocre motel. The James Pharmacy was absolutely perfect! Monica was our liaison, and she was absolutely fabulous. Everything we needed was tended to. The rooms are beautiful. The restaurant downstairs, everything you would want. It is well appointed, clean, and quiet. The only thing I would warn is that the stairs are pretty treacherous. It would be very difficult if you have mobility her balance issues. I would 100% recommend people stay here.“
