“I saw this place in East Haven ai was out for a bike ride. I’ve been craving Chinese food and haven’t found my go to spot yet. I ordered shrimp in lobster sauce and tofu with mixed vegetables. Both came with rice, and my total was about $28. There’s enough food for three or four meals. I’d definitely go back! My only complaint is that they don’t deliver to my area, but none of the Chinese places nearby seem to

“My first time. We all order what we like from Chinese restaurant's . My personal faves are shrimp fried rice and shrimp egg foo young. By far the best I have had in forever. enjoyed 100% . it was still too hot to eat when I got it home, which I really like. The complete separation of combined flavors was fantastic. Very reasonable $ for these times ,plenty of leftovers for lunch today. If I am ever in that area of "STAVEN" again , I will absolutely get my faves and try something else. “I literally can’t believe how incredible the food was. This is what casual Chinese used to taste like back in the day. It was as if I was a child tasting boneless spare ribs and crab rangoon for the very first time.. The spare ribs were charred and tender and the rangoon was made with actual crab as opposed to the typical “crab flavored” cream cheese. The pork fried rice was also remarkably flavorful with large cubes of pork and perfectly cooked onion. Those who have complained about the food specifically must be miserable Karens. This is my new favorite casual Chinese spot. 10/10“

“Food was excellent and very healthy. I had the chicken and broccoli combination platter. It was some of the best I ever had. Chicken was nice and tender and very crispy. Broccoli and carrots were very delicious. Definitely will be going back. House of Chao is my new favorite Chinese restaurant. Scallions in fried rice, sauces were light and much different from what I'm used to which is refreshing. “So this amazing place was recommended by a friend from Madison and it did not disappoint! Authentic Szechuan in a beautiful room with high ceilings and soothing decor and music. “I lived a mile away from this place for 20 years. This was our go-to Chinese take-out restaurant. I was down south for eight years and now, I’m in Branford. We have not gotten any decent Chinese food in Branford, so I decided to pick up a quart of pork-fried rice last night as a little test. I was delighted to see that the same family owned the restaurant. They were still so pleasant and the quality had not diminished in the slightest. Most of them, the food is soggy, cold when we get it, not cooked right, etc. Until we found this place. It’s tucked away behind BAR pizza and we never even knew it was there! “My fave Chinese takeout spot in West Haven! I've ordered from Lucky Kitchen several times, and the food is delicious every time. The prices are unbeatable- tons of lunch specials for under $10. The man at the counter is always super friendly, too. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great takeout place.

“First I want to apologize In my several years of writing Google reviews I never skipped photos of the food but the food here was so amazingly good I just ate four servings of orange chicken! When I finally stopped I realized I ate everything before I took any pictures! Lol. I'm born and raised in Chicago and ate some of the most authentic and tasty Chinese food outside of China in our designated "China town" I have been up until now bitterly disappointed in all the Chinese restaurants in the entire state of Connecticut. The broccoli was tender and crisp and deliciously fresh. The orange chicken had REAL pieces of orange peel. Oh so slightly spicy but I don't eat anything spicy so most people would not have any issues with the spice level. It was simply PERFECT. The Crab Rangoon was the best I ever had and I have eaten in China town of both Chicago and San Francisco! This is the Only place I would even consider eating Chinese food in the entire state of Connecticut. I feed 3 hungry adults for $45 including tax and have some leftovers in the fridge for tomorrow.“
