“01.22.25 'Big Al's Reel Reviews' - Norm's Diner, Groton CT I finally got off of work🚒👨🏾‍🚒 after being in the Great City of New London for 3 days so I immediately made my way over the Goldstar Bridge and into the City of Groton where I dropped into a local breakfast spot called Norm's Diner. I wanted to find out if this spot was any good so I ordered Sausage Gravy over biscuits, a side of Grits and a cup of Coffee. The big question is, "Is this spot a great place 👍🏾 or is it a Dud 👎🏾?" Well... This place is Off the Hook!! The atmosphere and the service is amazing!! I was served a delicious meal and kept entertained at the same time!! The owner Steve is outrageously Fun and outgoing!! I had an amazing breakfast and experience at Norm's Diner!! Thank you👍🏾 Get your butt down there Right away!! “They have the Best Food and Service very high quality and very healthy tasty delicious food and clean Raj the manager owner works very hard and is always attentive to his customers the waitstaff is very fast and kind and helpful to fill you order Their Buffett on Saturday and Sunday is well worth the price and they aldi have take out lamb chicken and veggie box I really enjoy coming here ever so often to feel health happy and like family”

“Was very disappointed when we took friends of ours there and told them how good the bread was but when we ordered from Jack was told the bread now costs and yet we were there two weeks ago and bread was offered. Also we had to ask Jack what the specials were and he acted put out. What a change from two weeks ago with waiter Greg who was awesome”

“We visited here for the first time last night and we were not disappointed! The dining room is a bit dark, but it’s nice and tastefully decorated. Our server was Christina and she was great. Very friendly and personable. She was very genuine and not faking it for the job. The food was FANTASTIC! I ordered the famous Bisque Bomb, which was pricey, but worth every penny. My husband had a cup of bisque and the B&B tacos with shrimp, and he said both were very good. If you’re in the area this summer, give Ford’s Black and Blue a try. Great food and great staff.”

(Rt.184) Mystic, CT Somewhere In Time is the Sister Restaurant of ONE of my Favorite Breakfast Spots named 'When Pigs Fly' located in Waterford, CT. So I was hoping this spot was as good or better than her "Sister"!!😁 Upon walking in and recording with my phone I received a surprised and warm welcome from the Server Susan so that was a great start!😎❤️ The atmosphere was really cool, but it is divided into two sections, a front & back divided by a partial wall. The service was very warm, fast and welcoming so I felt like I was at Home. Let's get to the food. I dropped in this morning and ordered: 1. The Sampler (2 Eggs, toast, one buttermilk Blueberry Pancake, one Texas french toast, two strips of bacon, two sausage links, home fries, toast & coffee) $19.00 👍🏾 2. Cheesy Grits /bacon $6.00 💣 The Cheesy Bacon Grits were OH SO GOOD and thick too! They were the bomb 💣. The Sampler was a Delicious & healthy serving size! There was no way I could have finished all of it in one sitting. Everything besides the French Toast was Amazingly Dope! The French toast was super dry so one bite was enough.😁 The Sampler easily earned a thumbs 👍🏾 I loved my visit at Somewhere In Time so I highly recommend this Breakfast spot! “We just took my daughter for her 17th birthday, she originally wanted sushi. She looked at the menu and immediately changed her mind and chose to try her first seafood boil! She absolutely LOVED IT! The servers are fast and friendly and the food is GREAT! She chose snow crab legs and black mussels, my boyfriend had a crab cluster combo and I had a sausage boil combo. Everything was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We will 100% be coming back!!!! Highly recommend!”

They also had something I’ve never seen fluffernutter ice cream which was amazingly delicious. The place was adorable with the soda counter brought back lots of good memories. I love the sign that said no WiFi talk to someone :)”

City of Groton, CT I am so glad that I was tipped off about this small spot by a fan because I have just discovered another 'Big Al's 💎 Gem Spot'. I walked into a warm welcome from the owner Margaret, who was also my server and she was such a sweet lady with a great personality. She was so friendly and great with all her customers and I sat there smiling the whole time. Buford's does not have a huge FB following with just over 1k followers but it is truly an Amazing Hidden 💎 Gem breakfast spot of Groton!❤️ I walked in the door ready to eat so I ordered and reviewed a couple popular menu items: 1. Western Omelet w/Home fries & wheat toast $13.00 💣 2. Buford's Big Breakfast w/pancakes $13.20 💣 The service and atmosphere of Buford's is very laid back, comfortable and when it comes to the food they don't disappoint! I started with the Western Omelet and I ate quite a bit of it because it was the bomb 💣 I knew that I couldn't finish all the food so I moved on to those fluffy delicious pancakes with two easy over eggs, Home fries, crispy bacon and sausage patty. It was all amazingly Dope and easily earned a bomb 💣 as well! I had an amazing experience at Buford's and I understand why the fans have shared great experiences dining there. “My wife, daughter and I meet often with our Connecticut family for lunch...with the many restaurants available we keep coming back to The Fisherman. Our regular waitress is Irene and she always remember us and our preferences. The food is good, the view is great and the service we receive from Irene is fantastic! See you again in the Spring!”

What a hidden gem- not only is the food delicious (the bagel and coffee rolls….. unbelievable) but the service is fantastic and staff are the absolute kindest. They truly care and go above and beyond for their customers. I can’t wait to keep coming back, and I’m so grateful we have such an awesome, family friendly food spot so close to our home!”

“An Irish Pub in Mystic Village? The prices were very reasonable for Mystic Village. I had a black bean burger that they make themselves, not one of those frozen pre made things. It was delicious as well as the fried pickle chips! amazing! And of course I didn't take any pics because I was too busy enjoying myself and the atmosphere ?”

“Came here for lunch in our visit to Mystic, got the Gyro and my girlfriend got the California Chicken Wrap, both were excellent, handcut fries were stellar too. Server was 10/10 really nice guy, and they have this pseudo-patio that's technically outdoors, but fully covered and heated, to knock the atmosphere out of the park. I don't often leave reviews but had to endorse this spot for others to see”

“I've always loved going to Jersey Mike's because rheir food is so good but yesterday was different. I ordered online and when I got home after a very long day at work my order was completely wrong. I ordered a number 17 and whatever I got had buffalo sauce which I clearly didn't ask for. when I called they offered for me to go back the same night and they'll remake it but it was late and I didn't want to have to drive all the way back. I was so disappointed because I've never had an issue with them before.”
