“Was very disappointed when we took friends of ours there and told them how good the bread was but when we ordered from Jack was told the bread now costs and yet we were there two weeks ago and bread was offered. Also we had to ask Jack what the specials were and he acted put out. What a change from two weeks ago with waiter Greg who was awesome”

“We just took my daughter for her 17th birthday, she originally wanted sushi. She looked at the menu and immediately changed her mind and chose to try her first seafood boil! She absolutely LOVED IT! The servers are fast and friendly and the food is GREAT! She chose snow crab legs and black mussels, my boyfriend had a crab cluster combo and I had a sausage boil combo. Everything was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. We will 100% be coming back!!!! Highly recommend!”

“Screens for any sport televised. A whole wall of screens in the enclosed patio. Often hosting Live music. People having a good time and keeping it chill. Not too much drama age 25-35. Fewer 55 plus. Food is hot cocktail are stiff, brews are fresh and cold. Good vibe.”

“Not much to look at from the outside, but very deceiving. Our dinner was excellent. My husbands muscles were served perfectly. And, I had the best and most unusual salad. And our server, Adam, was by far the best ever. Olio is lucky to have him.”

“Two highly experienced CIA grads and an avowed foodie went for late lunch - Xmas and New Year cheer. The food was perfect. Couldn’t have asked for anything more - excellent tuna, lobstah rolls, lobstah taco, and a most excellent BLT with avocado - hand cut fries, even. And what might be the tenderest yummy squid I’ve ever had. Stiff Blanton’s rocks for reasonable and a cold dogs and boats? from Beer’d nearby. And a wonderful server/tender. Thank god this place is just far enough away to not be here weekly - because we’d have a new hangout! Cheers peeps.”

“The food was honestly really good. I ordered the bok choy ginger with chicken, my dad had the Japanese curry with shrimp, and my mom got the shrimp teriyaki. Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and well-seasoned.

The only drawback was the fruit flies. There were a lot of them, and it took away from the overall dining experience. If it weren’t for that, this would’ve easily been a 5-star stop.”

“Had a nice birthday lunch there and tried the excellent Scallops with mushroom risotto. Soups and desserts all made in house. I enjoyed my meal looking out at the water. The restaurant has been remodeled and is beautifully decorated.”

“I work in the same plaza; my coworkers and I tried them for the first time today… Amazing! Be sure to stop in for a lunch menu. Their sandwiches are phenomenal. I had the shrimp one and my boss had the steak. Another person had the pork stew and the other had something from the dinner menu (not sure what). We all raved about the portions and deliciousness. A must try!!”

“Lovely meal, as always (very delicious pork tenderloin) atmosphere and staff are great, however, after ordering a scotch on the rocks, we were VERY surprised to be charged $2.75 for the 'rocks'!! The ice in the water is free, and there's complimentary bread and oil, so charging for 3 ice cubes seemed pretty stiff. Lesson learned - next time (and there will be a next time, because this is a great restaurant) we'll use the rocks that come free in the water!”

“Arrived in town and craving a good chowder. While here we also ordered the crab cakes and grilled swordfish. Done to perfection with excellent seasoning. Heirloom tomato and watermelon salad was a great starter. This hotel restaurant did not disappoint.”

“Went for lunch on a week day. Hostess was on the phone had to wait to be seated. A wait: to receive menu, get beer, order food and receive food. After server cleared some dishes waited for bill. Server was BSing 5 minutes with a customer leaving. Total time spent waiting a bit over 35 minutes out of a total spent there, one hour and 15 minutes.”

“Best value for your buck where else can you get the chicken sandwich with fries and a beverage for under $10. The food is always consistent. It’s a great place just to have an inexpensive night out.”

I looked up Birria tacos near me and this restaurant popped up. my daughter said they were delicious. i had gotten a steak torta amongst other things lol and OMG 10/10 💯 will be going again.And the customer service AMAZING”

“The vegan wrap and bowl options at this spot are fantastic! The salads are fresh and bursting with color and taste. Their hummus is incredibly delicious, and the falafel is a standout! Crispy on the outside and perfectly tender within, YUM! I truly enjoy visiting this gem in Groton, especially for their amazing falafel, which always leaves me craving more.”

City of Groton, CT I am so glad that I was tipped off about this small spot by a fan because I have just discovered another 'Big Al's 💎 Gem Spot'. I walked into a warm welcome from the owner Margaret, who was also my server and she was such a sweet lady with a great personality. She was so friendly and great with all her customers and I sat there smiling the whole time. Buford's does not have a huge FB following with just over 1k followers but it is truly an Amazing Hidden 💎 Gem breakfast spot of Groton!❤️ I walked in the door ready to eat so I ordered and reviewed a couple popular menu items: 1. Western Omelet w/Home fries & wheat toast $13.00 💣 2. Buford's Big Breakfast w/pancakes $13.20 💣 The service and atmosphere of Buford's is very laid back, comfortable and when it comes to the food they don't disappoint! I started with the Western Omelet and I ate quite a bit of it because it was the bomb 💣 I knew that I couldn't finish all the food so I moved on to those fluffy delicious pancakes with two easy over eggs, Home fries, crispy bacon and sausage patty. It was all amazingly Dope and easily earned a bomb 💣 as well! I had an amazing experience at Buford's and I understand why the fans have shared great experiences dining there. “What a great place!!! I had sautéed portobello mushroom spinach and cheese sandwich which was delicious. They also had something I’ve never seen fluffernutter ice cream which was amazingly delicious. The place was adorable with the soda counter brought back lots of good memories. I love the sign that said no WiFi talk to someone :)”

“We were vacationing in Mystic for a long weekend and Outer Light came recommended as a brewery to stop by in the area and it did not disappoint. Kurt was bartending and was awesome to chat with. I work in the brewing industry in Pennsylvania and was excited to see their set up. He gave me a short tour of the facilities and told me about their brews and cycles. It was a great experience and awesome beers. The vibes were solid, and we had a great time.”

“A wonderful local Irish pub, staff and patrons here are super friendly. The food is good too, but check the kitchen hours. They sometimes have karaoke, live music, or trivia, and when none of these are going on, there is a jukebox.”

“I had such a great experience at Pokemoto in Groton! The nicest girl helped me— she had colorful hair and a spider tattoo on her arm— and she was absolutely amazing. She went out of her way to check ingredients and make sure everything I picked was allergen-friendly. “I found this hidden gem while on a vacation staying in Groton, CT. Awesome atmosphere and I am telling you some amazing food to be served from a bar. I ordered a hot ham and cheese grinder. It was Cinco de Mayo so I drank Margaritas. They were delicious and they had a full liquor bar. The bartender was super nice and personable. They have a lot of Navy and submen patrons due to its to the base. They have TVs and pool tables and a very fun bar atmosphere. Pop in and have some good drinks and food. They also have an outsubmeneating area.”

“My food was delicious. However, I have one suggestion, and an observation. First, back off on the sugar. My beans were sweet, ribs too sweet, the Chinese restaurants around here have taken to adding so much sugar, it doesn’t even taste savory, only sweet. Beef up on the black bean sauce, throw in some hoisin, don’t be afraid to season it. When I go to a Chinese restaurant, I want Chinese food, not Chinese American food. “Chinese” vegetables have practically disappeared off the menu replaced with regular veggies. Where’s the Bok Choi, the bitter melon, the black mushrooms, the closest I can find is a bit of bok choi, bamboo shoots, maybe water chestnuts and that’s it. I don’t want carrots and peas in my fried rice, it’s not right, I want bean sprouts! Ok, back to the review. Good points: hot food, beans perfectly cooked but it said spicy and it wasn’t spicy at all, the Sichuan wonton were supposed to be spicy too. In short, increase seasonings and spices, back off the sugar, and it would be perfect. The food was delivered hot, well packaged and wrapped thoughtfully. Presentation 100%. I will definitely be back to try again.”

“I've always loved going to Jersey Mike's because rheir food is so good but yesterday was different. I ordered online and when I got home after a very long day at work my order was completely wrong. I ordered a number 17 and whatever I got had buffalo sauce which I clearly didn't ask for. when I called they offered for me to go back the same night and they'll remake it but it was late and I didn't want to have to drive all the way back. I was so disappointed because I've never had an issue with them before.”

“Life long customers but we only would get pizza or grinders, which are phenomenal. Tonight we decided to order pasta dinners and burgers off the menu and we were blown away! The portions are quite generous, the meals were delicious, the soup was perfect, the side salad also generous and delicious. The containers were generously sized and microwavable which is awesome because there's too much to eat in one sitting. Everyone in my home cant stop talking about how good dinner is. The kids burger is a full size burger with a handful of fries, enough for feed 3 toddlers. No one left the table still hungry. Bye bye olive garden. This is our official new pasta spot. Prices were quite reasonable as well. Very pleased!!! We'll done Midway Pizza! 5 billion stars FO-SHO!!!”
