“Cover Two used to be our go to for wings and other good food close to home. The last two experiences were disappointing. We repeatedly have 3 people crammed on a two top with no room for our food and having to place our beverages on the rail on the wall. There were several open tables with slightly more room, but we were simply moved to another two person table after complaining about the lack of space. We ordered two dishes that included marinara sauce on them. Chicken parmigiana and pasta. There was hardly any sauce on either dish. We told the waitress that there wasn’t nearly enough. We were brought two plastic containers with a little more sauce and to our surprise was charged $2 extra for something that should have been included in the entree.“

The food was delicious, the decorations were beautiful, the atmosphere was warm and cozy, all of the staff that we encountered were young but surprisingly all so very well mannered, polite and very nice!! “To start with, I love the thick menu! I love that they give the back stories on the local products/farms they use. And the plethora of options make certain that both my husband and I can find something we like no matter what we're in the mood for. It's also nice to go to a restaurant that has more than the same 6 things everybody else has and to know those items are made with locally sourced products. I can end with a cupcake made from scratch which also supports another small business instead of something premade from the same manufacturer everyone sources their desserts from. It's a win for me!“

“It is always a pleasure dining there. Bill keeps the menu updated and even dishes I've had previously have had a new twist added that has improved them. I've always enjoyed the pork chop but the new recipe was even better. I goes without saying that the wine selection is the finest but so is the updated beer selection. The ever attentive staff are always noticing if anything is needed with being obtrusive and know both the menu and the wine list very well. This is the one restaurants that we always recommend without hesitation when dining in the area.“

“Great place to stop in to when you’re craving a a simple deli-style sandwich. Nothing too fancy but hit the spot I needed it to. Got the Italian combo on white bread, added pickles and dressing on the side, and ate the whole sandwich. They have a nice sized menu, a couple sides in the to-go cooler, a good variety in the beverage cooler and the staff were attentive and kind. Outdoor seating is always a plus. Will definitely be a return customer if I’m in the area.“

“I visited the establishment today to have a meal. I ordered their wings and a grilled buffalo chicken wrap. The food was delicious. We chose to sit outside due to the pleasant weather. Unfortunately, we were seated next to an individual who was having a loud phone conversation. It would have been preferable if he had taken the call elsewhere. Despite this inconvenience, the restaurant was quite busy and the food was served hot and fresh.“

“We ended up at this place on my birthday August 18th because we were trying to get to someplace else but because of the terrible flooding event we saw that this place was open while we were so glad to find it. The food was amazing and the staff was so attentive. We had wings which were amazing, a pretzel that was delicious burgers and steak with chimichurri sauce, all of which were phenomenal. We can't wait to go back and try other items. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being open on such a terrible, tragic day. I hope all of the staff made it home safely.

“I’ve been to a lot of New Milford’s restaurants but I have to say the service at The Abbey was exceptional and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Given how many eateries don’t survive over time; they are the model for a sustaining and thriving food service business. My wife had the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and I had the Chicken Caesar salad. Both were excellent and the portion size and portion per price was very good. Even the water tasted excellent. If I had one complaint it would be that the noise level was a little high, but it is a pub style restaurant where you can watch a game.“

After my recent move to New Hampshire, my fiancé is just as dedicated as I am to the amazing food, atmosphere and staff and we took a trip down on our motorcycle to enjoy yet another fantastic lunch.
