“I'm a self proclaimed foodie and this is the best Chinese food in the area. I just recently moved to this area a year ago and tried so many of the Oxford and Seymour Chinese spots and was disappointed in 90%.Fortune house exceeded my expectations and is among the best I've had in CT. The food was excellent and the rice was out of this world!Highly recommend!“
“It's a buffet so you know what to expect. Good food though and efficient service. They don't have homemade iced tea just the generic fountain drinks. If they add more options of food that's just as good they'll probably hit five stars.“
“This spot is such a hidden gem! The family that runs this restaurant are exceptional in todays world. Prompt, clean, professional, AND the food is well priced and delicious. If you are ever in the area, HIGHLY recommend. As someone who usually only writes reviews when I have a bad experience, I'm happy to write this review praising this small business. They deserve 6 stars.“
“Whether you dine in or take out, in my experience the food is always good (although I think it is more pleasant to eat in). Last time I dined the food was piping hot and they gave us free fried noodles and sauce to start. The waitress also seemed very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend for sure!“
“My go to Chinese place! White rice, not yellow used in fried rice (my personal preference), requests are always followed, and food is fresh-i watch them cook it if I'm early for a pick up. Cash only-but so what-bank atm across the street if an issue. Fried dumplings Chicken Wings wonton soup -double yummy when sick Egg Rolls- all great Lo mein- all flavors (only thumbs down is amount/variety in veggie lo mein) Pork with rice noodles Pork with mushrooms beef or chicken with broccoli -what we get and enjoy.“
“Nothing fancy, it's take out. Prices are aprox the same as other Chinese restaurants in tge area. I've been going here for a few years and stop in occasionally. The staff is friendly and your order is prepared in a timely mannerParking: It's in a small plaza with enough parking“
“I have gone here several times. What caught me immediately was the friendliness of the staff member. The food is decent and not priced badly. The service was quick and well organized. I would recommend it for takeout. It had a few tables but is not large inside.Parking: Plenty of parking with a few quick parallel spots for takeout.“
“Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in the greater New Haven area always an absolute pleasure to have there food, they’re very kind people and good at what they do.By far my person favorite Wonton Soup but the Teriyaki Chicken on a stick is the real star of the show. Also, who doesn’t love a bank turned into a Chinese takeout spot, always fun!“
“We have ordered from Peking Tokyo a number of times and we enjoy it very much. I have always received the correct order and the food is fresh and ready fast. I have always found it flavorful and never very greasy. We mostly order the Chinese cuisine as that is what we enjoy. After more than 10 orders under our belt this is our go to local Asian food spot. Great food, fast service and reasonable price. What more can you ask for?“
“I love their shrimp and vegetable tempura. I generally will only eat shrimp if it's well cooked hence the tempura. The presentation is beautiful. I keep forgetting to photograph it before I dig in and mess it up but here's a few pics anyway. I get it with white rice and their miso soup which is also delicious!“
“Very good food, very clean place.I personally don’t like egg rolls however this place has the only egg rolls I will eat. They’re made perfectly and so delicious. Staff is nice, service is fast. A little pricey however you get what you pay for in serving size and food quality.“
“A staple of the Woodbury community for as long as I can remember, Ting Jiang nails the classics (Sesame Chicken, Sweet/Sour, etc), but they also bring bold Asian flavor to an extensive menu of memorable meals. A few tables for indoor dining, the restaurant is walking distance from everything the town has to offer (natural market, schools, antique shops, parks). We often do takeout and the service is fast, friendly, affordable, and the food always fresh. The portions are seriously generous—usually enough to stretch into multiple meals. Litchfield County is lucky to have a family business like this call Woodbury home.“
“We'll be back! First time customer...couldn't resist the aromas as we headed for BigY! So we had no idea about Peking Tokyo and the 2 chicken dishes we ordered were OUTSTANDING. We thought our regular go-to for Chinese take-out was pretty good...Peking Tokyo is better than "pretty good"! (Approx 5th time here yesterday, 2/6/2021, the Kung Po Chicken was horrible (nasty chicken chunks, way too much salt). If I'd ordered that at 1st visit, I would not have come back!)“
“We go here every Friday and have for a couple years. The food is excellent, is always prepared the way we request (and trust me we make changes all the time). We eat our soup at the restaurant while they prepare our meals to go. It's a tradition that I look forward to weekly. Thank you Dragon Kitchen for being consistent and reliable; and preparing quality food! Looking forward to many years of great food!“
“Their food is soooo good. Every time I eat here it's nice and fresh even when I get it delivered. They have so many different options but I usually get chicken fried rice, spring rolls, and a coke. It's very enjoyable, clean, sanitary, and the workers are nice. The service is quick and efficient and they're very deserving of 5 stars.“
“Nestled in the heart of Seymour, China House is an absolute gem for Chinese cuisine enthusiasts. From the delectable dishes to the warm hospitality, this place has become our go-to spot, especially during our epic gaming sessions in my friend's basement. The first thing that strikes you about China House is the incredible taste and quality of their food. Every dish we've tried has been a culinary masterpiece, with flavors that transport you straight to the streets of Beijing or the bustling markets of Shanghai. Whether it's the savory General Tso's Chicken, the perfectly cooked spare ribs, or the mouthwatering egg rolls, each bite is a testament to the chef's expertise and dedication to authentic Chinese flavors. What truly sets this restaurant apart is the genuine kindness and warmth exuded by the owners and staff. The moment you walk in, you're greeted with smiles and a palpable passion for sharing their culture through food. The owners often take the time to engage with customers, ensuring a personal touch that transforms every visit into a memorable experience. One of the standout features of China House is their lightning-fast delivery service. No matter the weather or time of day, our orders always arrive promptly and piping hot. This has been a game-changer during our marathon gaming sessions, ensuring we never have to hit pause for long. The efficiency of their delivery service has made China House a reliable choice when we're in the mood for a culinary adventure without leaving the comfort of our gaming den.But what truly makes China House our absolute favorite is the thoughtful extras they throw in with our orders. From unexpected complimentary sodas to delightful surprises during Chinese New Year, such as festive calendars or small gifts, these gestures have added an extra layer of joy to our dining experience. It's these personal touches that make us feel like more than just customers; we feel like cherished guests.China House has mastered the art of blending exceptional Chinese cuisine with unparalleled hospitality. Whether you're a connoisseur of Chinese flavors or simply seeking a delightful dining experience, this restaurant is a must-visit. Our gaming nights wouldn't be the same without China House, and we eagerly look forward to many more memorable meals and moments shared with their outstanding food and wonderful team.“
“Go to local Chinese food in Shelton. Finding good Chinese takeout in CT is a challenge, this is the best option in the area. Cash only! Orange chicken extra spicy and beef lo mein are my go to with a wonton soup on the side. Lunch special is a great value. Friendly and quick service. Great location if you need to pickup anything from the grocery store or packy.“
“This is a great spot for take-out! This is the 4th time I've had it. The food is really good. I ordered their Singapore mei fun and it is really spicy, but I like spicy so it was delicious. It's your common Chinese food take-out. The food is always hot when it's ready. I will continue to order food here. The service is fast and friendly!“
“Amazing food for a great value. Everything as it should be and a great portion size. Two dinners two appetizers for slightly under $40 with this quality is good in my book! Will definitely be going back to get my Chinese fix!The entrance looks like it could use some cleaning up for sure, but the kitchen looked clean through the window, like I said. Definitely giving it a second shot. ?“
“My husband and I ordered from here last night. I'm a huge sushi fan and he prefers Chinese This place did not disappoint in either category Three sushi rolls w miso soup for under $13 dollars which was absolutely delicious He loved his garlic chicken and pork fried rice It's close to home, easy pick up with fast and friendly service. This is now our new favorite go to and both of us get exactly what we want at an affordable price for great food.“
“I went here for the first time for New Year's Eve food. My regular place was unexpectedly closed so in Googling around I decided on this place. I did let them know I'd be giving them a review afterwards. I do have to say firstly, this place is so absolutely clean and they had a very nice area if you want to dine in. The people who work there are very nice and they had no problem cooking the broccoli longer in the chicken and broccoli because we don't like it too hard. I had a large order and there were no mistakes and it was done while I waited in a timely fashion. The food was delicious. They did not overuse the vegetables so you get less meat. The egg foo young was great! The chow mei fun was very good and actually the reason I chose this place cuz every place doesn't make it. Lo mein excellent and chicken fingers tender. All In all this is my new place to go when I want Chinese food. When you order they ask if it's cash but they definitely do take cards. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a try, just be specific about how you want your order as they were very accommodating. Besides softer broccoli, I wanted only mushrooms in my egg foo young and they did it no problem, it cost $1 more but that's fine. Again. It's a great and clean place for take out or eat in. Happy New Year 2023??“
“Yesterday was our first time we came to that excellent restaurant. But It is surely not the last. We enjoyed the evening a lot with the good service, with the finest cuisine and booze and with the modest price. We will definitely visit there again.“
“There is always a crowd flowing with takeout bags from this location. Today after needing a quick afternoon pick me up, we decided on grabbing some vegetable lo mein. The service was friendly and efficient. It is definitely geared to being a takeout as the decor is minimal and there are only two small tables. The food was fresh and the lo mein was very good.“
“my go to spot for Chinese food one of the few places that changes the eggroll for a little small container of extra rice which is more than enough for me I don’t really like fried foods so it’s a win-win portions are the way they should be I don’t know I like this spot can’t complain“
“Never left a review before but this place never misses! been going here since I can remember and i’ve never had a bad experience with the food or the people. Its the only place i’ll go for this kind of food. So good that i’m writing this while eating it“
