“We ordered the vegetarian spring rolls, pan-fried pork dumplings, chicken and broccoli, and roast pork with broccoli — and were pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. The chicken and broccoli came with plenty of broccoli (which we appreciated), and the roast pork had great flavor without being fatty. The dumplings were nicely pan-fried, the spring rolls were crisp, and everything traveled well for takeout. Generous portions, easy pickup, and solid value. We’ll definitely order again.“

“This place has the best general tsaos chicken in all of Stamford and possibly Fairfield County not only is the food top notch quality, but the service is impeccable, and they are so helpful with everything that we asked for to accommodate for and all of the requests we made. “So I'm usually skeptical of mall fast food places, but was at the mall and got a craving for Chinese so I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice (it did taste like both might have been frozen before hand) still very good though . I was really impressed by the serving size, the taste/quality and the price. The server was very friendly and it cost just under $10. It was in the evening so it wasn't busy, but I'd definitely go there again for sure.“

“I discovered this Chinese restaurant one day when I was in Port chester doing some shopping and going to the movies. I've been here a number of times now. It's along Westchester Avenue where there is a selection of various cuisines.The food is delicious and it's not greasy. I love the rice, its bright yellow and full of flavor. The chicken used in the sesame and general tso are fried just right and not too hard. I personally don't eat Chinese all the time and when I do I usually stand outdoors while my food cooks because you can smell the heavy grease inside and down the street. But at Panda I'm able to stand inside to wait for my food because it doesn't smell. This is a cash only place so make sure you have plenty. The man behind the counter is nice and he speaks Spanish which is nice for the customers that visit. Its not a place really to stay long and eat because there's 4 tables. I take my food to go. They also do not deliver.

“I love the food! The lady there so so nice! The food here is so good my socks fell off! The place is very clean, the lady always cleans after a customer leaves a mess. I always order their lo mein and it’s so fantastic it’s one of my favorite dishes here. As well as the sesame chicken, so flavorful and way better than the other Chinese restaurant in town. (New China) Their sesame chicken is just liquid for sauce and doesn’t stick to the chicken. New China’s sesame chicken is so bad I threw it out and came here instead. It was way better than New China the chicken was so fresh and warm and the sauce was so good and thick and actually sticked on to the chicken. I really enjoy their fried rice I have no idea what they put in there but my taste buds were in heaven! Their fried chicken is so hot and steamy I hear a crunch every time I take a bite, it was so satisfying. I also had their dumplings and the flavors were melting on my tongue, there was so much flavor in one bite and it was so warm the sauce was so delicious. The spring rolls were spectacular also very crunchy and yummy I could eat them all day long! Their broccoli chicken is so juicy and saucy I love to have it with there white rice. Their white rice is so fluffy I was like a cloud on my plate, the rice here is one of the best rice I’ve had in my life when I get Chinese takeout. Their food here is such a good price since I had enough for my whole family. It was so much food we had some for the next day! My kids were so happy with what they ate and wanted me to buy more. I always come here with my family. It’s the best Chinese takeout in town. The food is so good I ate so much that I was gasping for air! Overall I absolutely love this place I will always order my Chinese takeout here. The food is absolutely perfect and couldn’t get any better from here! They have so many options of food I can never decide wha to eat when I come here because I know every bite of any food I get will be super delicious. I love ordering Chinese food from here.
Granted I have never ordered delivery and it seems like that’s where a lot of the negative reviews are coming from.
However, pickup has never failed me. They pack the containers to the top and do not skimp on the portions.

My favorites are the Beef Lo Mein, Hot and Sour soup, Beef with Garlic Sauce and Moo Shu Pork

Yes at times when I got to pick up the food there is a bit of wait but not more than 10 minutes. They are always busy in the back so I get it.

“Fairfield County Connecticut does Not have any mockmeat chinese takeout menu (the closest is New Asia- Hartford Ct which has similar mockmeat takeout offerings as this & is cheaper) so bonus points for just filling a need. Unlike other restaurants, China Harden-Rye had a whole veg/vegan menu (not just 2 lame tofu offerings like most restaurants offer) The mockmeat dishes such as sesame chikn, general tsaos, orange chikn were those fried flat, round nuggets with sauce which is OK for takeout but I can take nuggets & toss with sauce at home. I'm still searching for proper breaded seitan/tofu fried pieces that are big like non-vegan meals. There's no vegan sweet & sour pork or v- walnut shrimp which west coast vegan takeout has. && The menu says vegetarian but they claim it's vegan. Service was excellent as they accomodated my nut allergy by not putting nuts in kungpao chikn & assuring no nut oils in anything. V-beef & broccoli was delish however didnt taste like the meat-based dish & texture was excellent. Was expensive for takeout quality, we ate at the restaurant on plates & the serving size seemed smallish but food was pleasantly hot & crispy. they put relaxing musac on for our dining pleasure too. “I usually get fry chicken wings , either shrimp fried rice or just fried rice. Or with French fries depending what I'm feeling. Also sometimes , broccoli with white rice. “Tried this Chinese spot for the first time today and it was amazing! We got the chicken and broccoli with chicken lo mein combo, an egg roll, and beef fried dumplings. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just hit the spot. The dumplings were perfectly crispy and juicy inside, and the lo mein was seasoned well without being greasy.
