“Raphaël's is far and away the best bakery I've ever been to. To begin with, the quality of the food is absolutely top notch across the board. I never had anything less than delicious from there and they offer a wide variety of options. From traditional French baked goods to chocolate matzo toffee bars to chocolate cookie croissants, there's always something for everyone. The ingredients are also high quality and they don't pack in any junk or preservatives (unlike grocery store bought bread which has an unnaturally long shelf life). I also love how easy is it to get here. They're right off Greenwich Ave and the area is quiet and serene. Well, quiet- ish. Since the day they opened their doors, Raphaël's often has a line out the door. Which is amazing because they opened their doors during Covid in middle of the winter - when most businesses were failing and closing. That should tell you something right there. Still, they're very efficient with checking out patrons and the line moves pretty fast so don't let that scare you away. It's absolutely worth the few minute wait if theres a line. I think Raphaël's continues to be so popular not just because they have great baked goods and a lovely location but they're also the nicest people I've ever met. The bakery is run by a wonderful French family that makes every visit here such a pleasure. If you want to support a local business while enjoying the best croissant you'll ever eat, you need to stop by Raphaël's. You will not regret it.“

“This is like being in Paris in Darien. The crêpes were the best I’ve ever had. The savory crêpes were so elegant and delicious. I didn’t think you could make sweet crêpes any better than the ones I’ve had in the past however they were better than any I’ve had in the past. The service was authentic in excellent. Highly recommend. New York City has nothing on Darien crêpes!“

“Orienta is a high-end, luxury French-Asian fusion restaurant centrally located near Main Street, Greenwich. Ambiance is understated, with low light and tables a bit too close to each other, bordering on cramped. Diners are permitted to eat at the bar, which opens up more cuisine area but eviscerates any casual bar scene. We arrived early and tried to grab a drink at the bar. The proprietor shoed us away as there was no room at the bar for drinks (perhaps something the restaurant should rethink). He was not overtly rude – but he wasn’t particularly pleasant either. Surprised, we left for another bar and returned later for dinner.I’m glad we did. As part of a large group, we ordered a number of dishes and shared collectively. Everything was delicious (perhaps that’s why the proprietor felt comfortable encouraging us to leave for a drink). For appetizers, the baby back ribs were the star – rich pork falling off the bone. For main dishes, the spicy duck lo mein is a must.Although the food is exceptional, prices are sky high. For six people, the cost exceeded $900 with very modest beverage consumption. I’ll be back, but preferably on an expense account.“

“Excellent down to every detail. What a find in Fairfield county! Right up there with Le Fat Poodle, Le Penguin and La Crémaillère but a much cozier understated atmosphere. Wine glasses were appropriate for the wine, the beef tartare was the perfect texture and the Pork Chop and Steelhead trout were cooled to perfection. Bravo! The Pannna Cotta was excellent! I wonder what they could do with creme brulee???“

“We had a great experience. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. We booked a table for 8 for brunch on a busy day. 2 of us showed up early and were seated right away (vs. some places that make you wait for your whole party to arrive). Several members of the staff came by regularly to check on drinks and if we needed anything. The menu is eclectic and had something for everyone. The beef noodle bowl was one of the best I've had -- too often with thinly-sliced beef in a dish like this, it gets overdone -- but this came out a perfect medium-rare. Family members all gave big thumbs ups to the burger, the fries, the steak, the salmon and chicken bowls, etc. No one had a mediocre dish. There was a birthday celebrated at one point, and they did turn up the music, but it lasted 1 minute, so was not a big deal. Even though we had a big round table with 8 of us, it wasn't so loud that we couldn't talk with others across the table. The restaurant was full and busy, but there were no delays in any aspect of the service. This was our first time there, and we would definitely come back.“

“I don't see how anyone is knocking the restaurant. Other than some higher prices for dishes, I was happy with everything we ordered. Between, the pastas and seafood and desserts and appetizers this restaurants food was spot on. The ambiance was a delightful surprise, one night they had live music in the bar which you can hear through the restaurant. And they had the fire place rocking which was awesome for the cold winter nights. They had a great wine selection for bottles and glasses and even served the glasses in the appropriate glassware, which is a nice treat. Highly recommend to anyone staying at the hotel or passing through. Great upscale restaurant, doing everything right.“

“Excellent spot easily accessible in downtown Darien from I-95. I love seafood and the meal here did not disappoint. We started with the crab cocktail and half a dozen oysters with everything being fresh and delicious. The cocktail came with a mustard sauce (in addition to cocktail sauce) that was quite tasty. I ordered a Branzino special which had an excellent thick flaky piece of fish cooked to perfection. The service was so efficient, i never had to worry about my water glass not being filled as the waitress was constantly checking on us. The ambiance is chic but somewhat laid back. Good place for people watching. All in all, an excellent New England Seafood restaurant. I'll definitely be back.“

“Chez Vous is absolutely phenomenal. They were so welcoming and accommodating with both helping me in/getting situated as a wheelchair user. They have an incredibly flexible menu for folks with food allergies or dietary restrictions. The waitstaff was beyond courteous and kind. The icing on the cake is that the food is absolutely spectacular! This experience was one of the happiest memories of my life—to be treated so well, and to have so many options to choose from! This restaurant epitomizes everything that is right with the world, and we will definitely be back. Please support them! You won’t regret it at all.“
