The wait staff is REMARKABLE ❤️ their engaging, Fun and work as a team. Also very knowledgeable. As they describe the menu your mouth will water with EXCITEMENT❤️ “
“Cool place w excellent food! We had the Beef Stroganoff & it was delicious. Our friend had the Yellow Tail & he said it was amazing. Don"t skip dessert!Waiter was attentive & had a nice visit w the owner. Put this down as a must try on your trip to Key West!“
“Incredible dining experience! Service was on point, thanks to our server, Wilson. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 entrees and 3 desserts. Everything was paced out perfectly. The food was phenomenal! Crab “cakes”, scallops (with possibly the best pork belly I’ve had), and bisque to start. Miso glazed grouper and veal chop for entree’s and a mix of desserts. Everything was remarkable. My compliments to Chef Laurence.“
“We went for lunch. I had the Swiss cheese burger. It was delicious. The atmosphere was amazing. But the star of the show was AARON our server! He was laid back and easy to talk to. He was knowledgeable about the food and answered our questions. He even managed to quiet some noisy work that was getting in the way of our ordering! Overall, a lovely experience.“
“Such places are called democratic - simple tables, a simple menu of cocktails, beer and snacks to go with it.The tables are quite crowded - that's why I'm only giving them a four. But the waves are splashing nearby. Young but polite, efficient waiters. I was served by Aubrey M., who looked like a schoolgirl. Disputed order delivery, dirty plates on the table do not linger. It doesn’t push you with directions and recommendations - I had a pleasant time sitting by the ocean in the morning with a beer and snacks.I ordered beer and conch friters - they were not overcooked, served hot and juicy. This is a coastal cafe and I rate it exactly as a coastal cafe.I liked it here and will come back here again.Ps: I'm backOn my second run, I drank Sunset Tequila and ate tuna poke cups. The drink is soft - it doesn't hurt your brain. Long drink.Tuna initially raised concerns - it is a fish of cold waters and for a coastal cafe, getting tuna with good eyes and gills and cutting it is expensive. However, the fears were in vain - the tuna, although clearly frozen upon delivery (after all, the tropics, not Alaska), was good. No urges. The tuna sauce is unexpectedly balanced for a cafe - the taste of mayonnaise is not felt at all and perfectly complements the appetizer. The cups are naturally banana cups, not overcooked - I actually liked them and went great with the cocktail. It was a great morning: a view of the emerald ocean at my feet, a soft cocktail (beer if desired), and wonderful snacks to go with it at an affordable price by the standards of this island. It's totally worth it.I recommend.“
“Best food I had in Key West! Was not even close. Spent 4 days there and I can say by far this was the best meal I had. We actually made plans to go back our last day because it was so good.Do not be thrown off by the fact that it's basically in an ally. The vibes are hole-in-the-wall and it is.Make sure to stop here! (And get the hot sauce)“
“I got the key west lobster roll. It had huge chunks of lobster and tasted fresh. It was big enough to be filling but too big so I wasn't able to finish it. It's $30 and comparing that to another $30 dish I don't know if I'd say it's worth that price. However, it's worth trying once. It's a small place, so there's not a lot of sitting room. However, you can take your sandwich to go and eat near or on the beach.Note: they don't take apple/google pay“
“Tried the lobster roll. It was fabulous, but it was one slice of buttered toasted bread with Lobster meat on it, rolled up like a hot dog. The taste was amazing, but so small for $32. Just a very expensive snack. I feel it was way too overpriced.“
“We came here because we read the reviews here. However, we were a little disappointed on the quality of the food. Maybe because we had high expectations from Google reviews. We ordered the lobster roll and the clams. The lobster was good, but the taste of the clams was a little bland. The portion of the dishes were smaller than I thought. These are good for snacking in the middle of the afternoon.“
“The food was completely amazing! It has such a great location that I had low expectations for the food because it seemed logical to me that they are going to get customers based solely on the location even if the food was mediocre. But I was genuinely impressed! The food was delicious! I highly recommend the pecan catch (even the roasted veggies that come with it were very tasty and the rice was phenomenal).“
“After making our reservation for the wrong day we showed up to no table for us. We were graciously offered bar seating and it actually turned out better than table service. This meal was far and away the best meal we had during our week in Key West. From the appetizer to the entree to the desert to the wine recommendation, everything was spectacular. The atmosphere was cozy and the service was top notch. Just a spectacular and memorable meal.“
“A fantastic shrimp scampi I will never forget. Everything about Sole was equally beautiful and delicious. The outdoor seating we had was charming and majestic with a very classy appeal. It gave off an intimate vibe despite the amount of seating. My beef carpaccio had a thinly cut freshness that was a good teaser for the rest of my meal. My highlight was my shrimp scampi that I couldn't give enough praise for. I'd go back here just to order this again. The noodles absorbed the sum of its parts so well with the oil and sauce. I don't know how else to describe how it tasted so good. I really enjoyed the key lime pie as well. I found torching the cream on top slightly unnecessary, the cake itself along with the graham cracker crust more than made up for it (which honestly didn't really need to be made up for.) The staff was exceptional as well. We didn't have to wait long for service and everything came as expected. They gave us good wine recommendations as well.“
“Went with friends for an afternoon bite before their flight and it was perfect. Had the grouper shrimp cakes as an appetizer for the 4 of us then individual hamburgers for lunch. Had a wonderful young lady make us a ‘Painkiller’ and a Golden Margarita that was delicious. Domestic beer only $5, a true find on KW. Between the view, the vibe and the prices you can’t go wrong.“
“Had to grab some thing to eat before our bus left. The tuna sandwiches, chicken sandwiches and chicken tacos were sooooo delicious! Especially after we had a terrible lunch at “The Seaside Cafe at the Mansion”. The bar tender at the back bar was sooo sweet and got our food ready so fast. I wish we had more time to try other food! Highly recommended!“
“Super cute restaurant with kind, helpful staff. Their oysters are wonderful, mozzarella sticks are the best we’ve ever had and their Key lime Cartel drink is yummy!! The fish entrees were good and creative but a bit spendy for what they are (i.e. fish n chips $35).“
“I didn't like the service because the waitress didn't try to help us with some issues and made drama over trifles. My son is diabetic and I needed to know either the amount of carbohydrates in a serving or the amount of the food itself that contains carbohydrates. for him it was French fries. to which she replied that they don't have information about carbohydrates and there are no scales to weigh food either. in other restaurants this has never been a problem And the drama was that I changed the order, but this happened almost immediately after the order. I don't see a problem changing the order if it hasn't even started to be prepared yet. Overall the food was delicious and the steaks were cooked to perfection. only the fries were so generously sprinkled with salt that they had to be scraped off. otherwise it was impossible to eat“
“This restaurant has a good ambiance. It is away from downtown key west so we liked that it was a bit quieter. They have two locations and we tried the other location in the past and preferred this one by far. We ordered a salad to start and both got pasta dishes, spaghetti Norma and penne arrabbiata. Both were delicious! Service was exceptional. Would definitely return.“
“Had to stop here for lunch before our flight home. Definitely a must when visiting Key West. I ordered the fried seafood combo which consisted of 2 huge pieces of mahi-mahi, calamari, and shrimp. Will definitely stop by again on our next visit to Key “
“This place came highly recommended so decided to give it a try. It's a little hidden and tucked away behind a building on Duval street, with a sign pointing to an alleyway that leads to an outdoor seating area. You place your order at the window counter and when your order is ready, your name is called. I had Elle's Poke's On Fire and it was FIRE! Fresh ingredients and perfect portions.“
“This is a beautiful place to chill and enjoy the sunset! The margaritas were delicious. Likewise the food! We had the mahi sandwich which was really delicious. The service was exceptionally quick and the prices were surprisingly quite reasonable. The live music was also very good ?“
“When I was a kid, my dad was in the military and we lived for a short time in Italy. While there, I had the best pizza I ever had in my life. I have been chasing that high for over 30 years. The pizza at Onlywood definitely scratches that itch for me. It is authentic, so delicious, and brings back great memories. And the restaurant (easy to miss since it is down an alley off of Duval) is so charming. I also recommend the homemade Sangria…very refreshing. Please give this place a try.“
“One of the best food trucks I’ve ever visited! By far best food in Key West you could find! Fresh fried fish basket to grilled fish ?! So yummy ?, this guys do a great job friendly and delicious food! Fried Fish basket was a great treat with fries. Along with grilled fish tacos ? so yummy!“
“We stumbled to this restaurant our first night at Key West and lingered by the doorstep because of the nice jazz playing. When we walked up to the restaurant, the manager Kim was very nice and helpful to our situation and instantly got us handled. There was one hostess that didn't seem welcoming; the other one that seated us was genuinely sweet and spoke to us with care. We sat outside during the evening and it was perfect! The guy that set up our table was wonderful and spoke to us about his life as well, and it made us feel extra comfortable with our choice of dine in. DD was our server and she made sure our food was great, to which my boyfriend confirmed that this was the best dinner he had ever had. He's not a fan of oysters, and when he got a taste of the oysters I ordered, it took him an entire week to stop talking about them. I ordered a grouper, and he did the Surf & Turf. I thought I would be able to finish the whole thing as it looked delicate, but with the Moscow mules (also phenomenal) the soft bread, and the oysters beforehand, I was struggling to walk back to our shuttle. The jazz, the clean restrooms, and the ambiance of the whole restaurant made my first night on our vacation our best night(and the vacation was perfect!). Much gratitude to Kim, to DD, and everyone else that I forgot the names of because of the Moscow Mules. I would come back in an instant!“
“I was looking for a nice restaurant at a pretty good price in Key West and this place was perfect. Got some happy hour drinks and the Mahi mahi bites which were cooked perfectly. I’ve worked at the top seafood restaurant in my home state for 8 years and the Tuna Nachos and Tuna dinner platter were right on par with my home restaurant!! Great place and a great value! Would have preferred Caribbean music rather than country but that just a personal preference ?“
“The atmosphere of the place is amazing, the food is very delicious and the staff is very helpful and open. Cocktail sauce was something unknown to me, I went there to ask what its composition was other than horseradish and they gave me all the information I needed to know about the sauce. You can bring your own booze becuase they don't sell alcohol.“
“Evening was ideal for sitting outside. The sunset this time of year is not directly in view but the sky was beautiful. The charter boats come in shortly after sunset and are enjoyable to watch. The service was attentive and the food was good. Everyone was pleased with the menu. I would dine again upon return.“
“We had a wonderful meal here a few days ago. I wish I would have gotten our server’s name (he shared it but I have an awful memory.) it was dark but I think he had reddish hair and a small frame. He was incredible! We made reservations for two but after we arrived and saw it wasn’t super busy (it was late Sunday night) we asked if we could add four more to our reservation. They were accommodating though in the end we didn’t need it. The service and grace they offered was wonderful. The patio was beautiful! The menu perfect.I had the grouper and it was a 10/10 and the mashed potatoes were divine. My partner had the bolognese and they too were happy.Would absolutely return!“
“Geiger Key Marina is a two-fold new favorite for me and my family who have been visiting the Keys for over 40 years. The short review is about the kayaking eco tour they offer. If you have a chance, reserve a few kayaks and go make some memories while paddling around the beautiful, scenic mangrove islands. Buy one of their super cool Geiger Key Eco Tours sun shirts if you want to add to the fun.The marina restaurant is where I intend to review because this is where the average person is going to engage with this business. Many of us don't own boats and although they offer RV campsites, the capacity is so limited it would only be a select few who experience camping at Geiger Key as opposed to the hundreds of customers that can experience the bar/restaurant each day. First off, try the grouper cheeks. After that, pick whatever beer (Crazy Lady blonde ale, wink wink) suits your fancy and go on to try anything else on the menu. Having been by there a few times over the past two years I've found nothing but friendly people and a good food and drink menu. Geiger Key Marina is off the beaten path and definitely worth spending a minute exploring. Sit down and spend a minute an arm's length from the beautiful water of the Keys and you will not be disappointed if a few minutes turns into an hour or two. A short drive from Key West and a short drive from Marathon, Geiger Key should be worth anyone's time.“
“Fresh seafood with top notch gourmet preparation and presentation. We were pleasantly surprised to enjoy this out of the way recommendation from our resort concierge. We enjoyed a wide selection of seafood prepared in unique ways across a number of courses. Our server was pleasant if just a bit inattentive but the restaurant was full for our entire stay so they may have just been understaffed. Judging by the smiles and empty plates at tables around us it seemed everyone was well enjoying their meals as well. Good mix of young and middle aged couples as well as younger folks starting their nights out with appetizers and drinks from a great cocktail collection. Our middle school aged children really enjoyed the selection as well.Dietary restrictions: Very accommodating for GF“
“The Jambalaya was great and plenty of leftovers to eat later. Generous portion sizes. Keylime pie was good but wasn't a very big slice.Wheelchair accessibility: I did see another customer using a wheel chair. I did not notice any issues for them.“
“After swimming in the pool and feeling all icky and stuffing my mouth with constant seafood (it’s Key West, what else would I expect?). I wanted to eat something not involving seafood. Yes the name is of a cool sea creature but hey, might as well shoot my shot. I ordered the Gnnochi and my god, it was so good and the portion they give is insane especially with the price. It could feed like 2 adults. In my humbles opinion , if you’re is key west and tired of seafood or your children hate seafood, try this place out.Kid-friendliness: A Large variety of food to eat and they’re so good.Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a pretty cool ramp!“
“Nothing else to say but WOW! The staff and the food were beyond perfect. With many varieties from Middle Eastern, American, and even to Asian. The staff is no questions asked the best waiter I have ever met. Enough about the waiter, the food is FABULOUS especially the Falafel with the avocado hummus which makes you feel like your never going to find a better restaurant and keep in mind that we are from Georgia.“
“FANTASTIC! We had 2 appetizers, 2 dinners (with left-overs for the next day) and if you haven't tried their chocolate cake, you should, even if you get it to go for later! So good!! Shout out for the zoodles too! Staff is also wonderful, and everyone is SO NICE!“
“Beach day! Lagerheads is the BEST! Nice small beach. Live Music. Draft beer. Chair rentals available. And OH. MY. GOSH. the fish tacos are some of the best we have ever had. Fresh mango salsa over a delicious white fish....this place is worth a trip just for the fish tacos. A *must do* on your next Key West visit! We didn't stay, but we thought this would be a good sunset location too.“
“We chose Fisherman's Cafe based on previous reviews which mentioned having some Gluten Free (GF) options. Admittedly, I misjudged the weathered, physical appearance as I approached, but one bite of the food immediately had me mentally adding this to my list of Key West favorites! We timed our visit perfectly just after the peak lunch time and had the entire place to ourselves with only a few minutes to wait until our food came to our table hot and fresh. Once we began eating, we quickly adapted to the no frills, picnic style dining arrangement. The owner was low key (no pun intended) and soft spoken, but when I mentioned my wife's gluten allergy, he said "that sounds like celiac disease right? My best friend's wife suffers from the same thing." He then went on to list the menu items he could offer without worry, as well as what we should avoid. If you or someone in your dining party has celiac, you know what a relief it is when the person at the grill gets it! We are so thankful to whomever previously mentioned Fisherman's Cafe having GF options. I surprised myself by ordering the pulled pork sandwich rather than the Mahi Mahi tacos, but I was not disappointed with my choice. It came out in a few minutes piping hot and so delicious. The fries were similar to boardwalk type fries served hot and not too hard. My wife had the Island Bowl which she thoroughly enjoyed. Although the selections are limited, you are guaranteed a great meal fresh off the grill at the Fisherman's Cafe. We will be back one day!“
“Woke up and wanted grilled shrimp. this morning for breakfast came across this place because it was the only people open offering what I wanted at the time I wanted it and let me tell you it was well worth going. I enjoyed the grilled shrimp I had very good very friendly people Would recommend anybody“
“We came here for a late lunch on a whim, just looking for a place to eat, and it was the perfect place for a quick and delicious meal. We ordered two burgers, a wrap, and a quesadilla, all of which came out pretty quickly. Though not the cheapest, the food was great, especially the fries, and it was a solid meal. Service was decent and overall, this restaurant was a great choice.“
“My husband and I went here after our wedding, and it definitely was the fancy celebratory restaurant we were looking for. We got a free dessert and the service was amazing. Our waiter was really responsive and friendly and knew the menu really well. The interior is incredible and has all the nautical vibes you might expect from a restaurant right by the sea. Everything felt so fancy. Okay the food. The food may be pricy, but it’s SOOOO worth it!! I had the Shrimp Orecchiette and it changed my life. The shrimp is clearly VERY fresh and different from anything you might get at a store or at a standard seafood restaurant. The pesto was also the best pesto I’ve ever had. My husband really enjoyed his food too. Overall, I’d recommend this restaurant to everyone, as long as you’re willing to spend $100+ for two people.“
“What an amazing find! And if you make it during happy hour, they have fresh oysters for $22.99 by the dozen. Also great is the conch ceviche. One of the best sunset views in Key West. This place is located right on the water and if you're lucky, you may get an outside table. The decor is rustic with license plates from all over dorning the walls and the ambience is quintessentially Key West!“
“I am a local- and Schooner Wharf really is one of the last little pieces of "old Key West".The Mojitos and Mudslides were delicious. I ate a Mahi wrap with homemade chips and the wrap both were very tasty! We had a fun server and great server- Logan. All around great vibe!“
“This upscale classic Key West restaurant sits right off the beach and has both indoor and outdoor seating for some incredible views. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. I started with their conch fritters with were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The marmalade jelly dip made the dish one of my favorites. My wife got the shrimp and Grits, one of their specialties, and loved it. I got the Grouper special, which unfortunately was grilled too long and was dry and a disappointment. My son got the chicken and waffle, but was just ok, and he left most of it. We asked to have it go, but never got it back. The bread severed was very good and worth noting. We had a slice of Key lime pie, not tart enough for us, but the cream Brule was delicious and worth getting. Overall, it was a nice lunch, that is a bit pricey but you go here for the beautiful setting and service for a special occasion.“
“The food was fantastic! Lobster bites, fried pickles, fried catfish, seafood medley and jalapeño poppers were all excellent. We both had rum runners that made us get a second one each. Service was great. Monica was attentive and checked back regularly. Will be back for sure!“
“We were looking for a surf and turf in old town, and we weren’t disappointed. We had prime rib, strip and they were both cooked to perfection. The wait staff were incredibly nice, too.The bisque soup is also incredible. Definitely give this a try !“
“Amazing Amazing, Amazing ! There was not one thing about our dinner that wasn't absolutely perfect and delicious. Our server was attentive and so knowledgeable about everything on the menu. Our appetizer, our salads, the conch chowder just so delicious. The yellow snapper with mango and cucumber salsa, was so fresh and light, I never clean my plate and I didn't leave a crumb for my husband! We are usually in Key West once or twice a year and we will be back the atmosphere is fantastic too!“
“AMAZING meal. Fantastic service from every single person in the building. All around amazing. We live in islamorada and will be making the drive regularly now for date nights when we need tacos! Thanks Chico’s! Oh and love our shirt for our cousin! He’s gonna love it and can’t wait to come eat there with us!!And if you don’t get the cheese dip with ground beef your missing out!!!“
“My visit to Salty Oyster was a good time - the bartender was super friendly, and the service was quick. The food was pretty good, though wished they had a more extensive menu, and the cocktail was decent but not the best. Tried the Blue crab & corn fritters (7/10), Blackened Grouper Sandwich (8.5/10), Perry Punch (3/10). Nevertheless, the fun atmosphere and great view of the marina made it a worthwhile visit.“
“A small stand in one of those tucked away corners in Key West - it is worth finding! We tried the coconut shrimp, the calamari, the conch fritters and the lemonade. Service was friendly & literally everything was very fresh/made to order, and flavorful!!Highly recommend!!“
“Best dishes during our stay - New York Strip Steak ?, Dark Chocolate Tres Leche, Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée, Almond Milk & Chia Seed Pudding. However, avoid the Toasted Coconut-Key Lime Bread (so dry), Crispy Chicken Cheddar Waffle (spicy with mediocre flavor). Service here is great. ? View of the water is nice (room views are better ).“
