“Incredible experience at Café La Trova. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Libations were perfectly crafted and delicious. “I think is a must to visit this historical restaurant in Miami. The service was great, speed of food great even so it was to near capacity full. The prices are also very affordable compared to similar cuban food restaurants. Food was good, we ordered the typical cuban food although there are many options for those who prefer other food. They have a smaller bakery towards the middle and a big one on the other side. The amount of items is sure to please all. Is normally very crowded around lunch time so don't forget to grab a number to be served. Bakery prices are also in line with Latin bakeries. The cortadito coffee isnone of the best I have tried in many years of living in South Florida.“

“Fanstastic place to visit. The food is really good, fresh, tasty, and really very well served. Special recommendation would be the ceviche and the octopus, really amazing. The sweets are also vey good. The service was very good, attentive, and very friendly. We only found that the lack of at least one option for a French Champagne was a bit disappointing, especially as the option for Prosecco was not really a good one (should offer something more on the dry/brut side). The music was too loud for people to entertain a good conversation, especially as there was a large group next to us who themselves were speaking louder to balance. In any case an excellent place, good decoration, food, and service (a Miami price, but OK) which we would definitively mark as a come back.“

“Incredible food, Cuban approved! All the twists and turns on the traditional dishes from the vaca frita tostones to the masitas de puerco frito en arroz frito.

All the flavors were 10/10, so perfectly cooked, we also shared the arroz imperial which was packed with flavor and didn’t even have meat! Definitely coming back on my next visit to see how they’ve evolved the menu!“

“I passed by Bored Cuban on my way to the dealership, and knew i has to try this place The moment I walked in, I was greeted by cool murals, vibrant colors, comfortable atmosphere with a youthful vibe. The service was friendly, prompt, and attentive. The food was a highlight. The pastelitos were absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of flaky pastry and flavorful filling. The croquetas were equally tasty. The empanada was delicious as well, though I would have enjoyed it even more if they were served a bit warmer. Same with the monkey bread, it needed to be served warm. Additionally, the iced coffee was well made. What I love most about Bored Cuban is that it brings a fresh, new bakery option to the area. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their offerings.“

“Just moved to the neighborhood, pass by this place often decided to stop, on a Sunday after church and was pleased to the findings. It's a Latin fruit stand location with a cafeteria, but It is welcoming for us Americans. I got a ½ gallon jug of Guanbana juice for $10 now that's a bargain. I have bought drink at other place 1 cup $7, this is a bargain. I also bought a plate of food rice & peas, steak, and tostones $10, lots of food. Picked up some more fruits and other things. Prices not too steep, very reasonable. Place is clean and friendly too. They do speak Spanish bur willing to talk English just be patience.“

1) Mofongo (yucca + really tender octopus; highly recommend)
2) plantain tostadas w/ pork (good flavors but I think it could be improved w/ more sauce since it was a bit on the drier side)
3) custom side of kale (with evoo I think, for those of us who want a side of healthy greens ^__^)
4) flan (BEST I ever had in my life!!!)
5) tre leches (not bad, but felt it was dominated by the ratio of whip cream taste wise, despite being visually appealing)
6) passionfruit capirinha (bartender was absolutely lovely & nailed it! Even kindly adjusted/upped the sweetness as I like it)
To be honest, I was having a bit of a rough evening/day - but food here definitely warmed my soul and the staff + bartender are super kind in sharing their recs. Would highly recommend Caña for a low-key but soul-warming Cuban food!“

“It is a Latino cafeteria (located in front of the Warner House historic site (the white house) where the Hispanic Ballet of Miami resides, an important center of culture in Miami) where they offer pastelitos, empanadas, breakfast, Latin meals with a varied menu every day to be eaten at the place and to take away, sodas, juices, water, sandwiches, toasts, Cuban and American coffee. Good prices $. It also has a bathroom and parking access for the disabled and regulars. It has seats with outdoor umbrellas and the Covid-19 rules for social distancing and cleaning are observed.It has a stop for bus route #11 at the door (currently diverted due to the temporary closure to repair the 1st ST SW bridge to downtown) The employee Marta Elena is very helpful and attentive. I'll be back every time I'm there. The owners are to be congratulated as it is the only coffee shop on 1st ST SW for several blocks. They are thinking of opening until 10:00 pm in the future.It does not have a phone number or seats inside the cafeteria.“

“El Riconcito Latino was a breath of fresh air in Miami’s often overhyped dining scene. Our family had a fantastic Sunday lunch with a variety of dishes, including churrasco con camarones, arroz con camarones, cheeseburger, soup, platanos maduros, and both cafe cubano and cafecito con leche condensada. Every item was exceptional, with the steak being incredibly tender and free from gristle. Our waitress was kind and accommodating, enhancing the overall dining experience.

It’s hard to find good restaurants without fake reviews in Miami, but this is a genuine review—no bribes, free food, or discounts involved. El Riconcito Latino stands out as having excellent food, great value, and warm service. A real, local gem with authentic Cuban cuisine. Five stars for a fantastic family lunch!“
