Update 1/2026: I brought friends this time. They absolutely loved it. The crème brûlée is a must. Food was phenomenal and walked the complete location. The pastries look amazing and had coffee at the coffee bar. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Miami. Highly recommended.“

We wanted a traditional Cuban dinner tonight so my husband scoured review after review of so many famous Miami Cuban establishments and up popped this little gem! It’s a true family business! Lauren is front of the house and her mom and dad, who we also met (and thanked profusely for our splendid dinner tonight) make all the food. Honestly, the Enchilada De Pescado was perfection. It was a fish stew in creole sauce that Lauren recommended paired with the white rice and fried plantains. The shrimp in Garlic Sauce was flavorful with just the right amount of garlic. Fresh and tasty ingredients made right here. The tres leches cake so perfect, not too sweet and just right finished off the meal with coffee tonight. Don’t forget to start with a Mojito, you won’t be disappointed. I’m planning to come back tomorrow for the Cuban for lunch! So genuine and so charming!“

“Love coming here. This is about my fourth visit here and the food is very delicious. Waitresses and waiters are very friendly. Management is very communicative and attention to detail. I’ll be coming back for more in the future. My parents used to go to the original one in Miami Beach on Collins Ave. Great memories and I plan on visiting that one soon as well.“

“Rinconcito Cubano is 100% worth a stop. I had the fried king fish with arroz moro and arroz con camarones, and everything was on point. The fish was crispy and flavorful without being heavy, and both rice dishes were packed with flavor and cooked just right. Portions were generous and the food tasted like it was made with care, not rushed. If you’re looking for authentic, comforting Cuban food that actually delivers, this place won’t disappoint. “Just moved to the neighborhood, pass by this place often decided to stop, on a Sunday after church and was pleased to the findings. It's a Latin fruit stand location with a cafeteria, but It is welcoming for us Americans. I got a ½ gallon jug of Guanbana juice for $10 now that's a bargain. I have bought drink at other place 1 cup $7, this is a bargain. I also bought a plate of food rice & peas, steak, and tostones $10, lots of food. Picked up some more fruits and other things. Prices not too steep, very reasonable. Place is clean and friendly too. They do speak Spanish bur willing to talk English just be patience.“

Atmosphere. There isn't any. Its on the 2nd floor of a hotel, and it feels like a hotel bar.
Service was great. They checked on us frequently, refilled our water and fixed the temp of our meal when it came incorrectly.
Food. The pork shank, recommended by our server, was right on the money. The steak, was tasty but expensive for what it was. A thin piece of ribeye. The mushroom sauce that accompanied the steak was very good (requested to be placed on the side - if only it didn't have a layor of oil). Overall, it was a good meal better than okay but not worth the 4 stars. We won't be rushing to go there again anytime soon. On a side note, outdoor seating is a balcony area.“

“My dentist had recommended their crema de malanga when I got my wisdom tooth removed in December but never came. I came on Saturday for a solo lunch in my car while I waited for an OfferUp seller to respond. I ordered the best pan con bistec I’ve had in years from the ventanita. The steak had no chewy pellejos and had a bunch of picnic fries. It was $11. No soda. While I waited for my food, I went inside to wash my hands and omg this place is clean. You could eat off the bathroom floor. The dining area was spotless. The smell of food was actually pleasant instead of that dingy old greasy smell you get hit with when you walk into chain restaurants. 100% will eat here again.“

“Our family has been coming to Dos Palmas for over 30 years. The food is always great and consistent. The staff could not be any better. They've known my daughter since I was carrying her and she is 21. We literally sit down for breakfast and don't have to order as they already know what we want. Love this place and the family that owns them.“
