“Fantastic overall experience. They don’t have a lot of variety in the dishes so I can see how others can be upset about that, but for me every dish was amazing.

The only flaw was there was zero explanation of the dishes, origins of the fish, flavor profiles, etc. they just made the dishes and gave it to you. For those who have been to other omakases, there is usually a detailed presentation behind every dish which makes the experience so much better because you actually get to understand what makes the dish special.“

“I had an excellent experience. The atmosphere was great, but what really stood out was the service. Fabiola was very attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the entire visit.

And I especially have to highlight LUISA — her drinks were AMAZING. You can really tell how much talent and dedication she puts into every cocktail. Every drink was perfectly made, with incredible flavor and presentation. Honestly, some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a long time. “I’m not one to leave a bunch of reviews. Double Knot was something the Ave desperately needed. The atmosphere and welcome are second to none. We sat at the bar and Nikki took the best care of us we have had in years. She was also running service bar for the whole restaurant. Absolutely crushed it! The manager Nicole was more than accommodating. She was attentive and I basically let her order my entire meal. There were no misses. From the tuna tartar to the wagyu bavette steak, everything came out quick and presented perfectly and delicious. Edamame dumplings were incredible. All the nigiri and small plates as well. Probably the most unlikely star of the show was their soft serve ice cream. Basically had everything on the menu and already planning my next visit. What an awesome experience. 10/10“

Everything came to perfection. Truly. Also I’m a carrot cake snob and that was by the far the best carrot cake I’ve had in Miami. It was so refreshing with the Greek yogurt cream and meringue slices on top. This is my new favorite restaurant in Miami! But seriously, if you’re reading this, you have to try the broccolini and chicharrones! You will not regret it.“

“This is my new sushi spot. Easiest 5 star I think I’ve reviewed. I love sushi and Tokyo Tuna has some of the freshest sashimi I’ve ever had specifically the tuna. The Avocado roll was pretty good and the nigiri was a perfect rice to fish ratio. The spicy octopus and gyoza were a great appetizer. And the lychee drink was a great addition to the overall meal. The Thai donuts were literally perfect, soft inside with some having nice layers and others being a nice ball of dough ( great server recommendation). The mochi was alright, definitely the worst part but when everything is on point something to be the worst. Our service was good, didn’t wait too long and we didn’t feel rushed. “I've been meaning to try Sushi Corner after reading many reviews about how tasty and affordable this restaurant is, finding all these reviews to be completely true! This hole in the wall gem of West Kendall is well worth your time to try! I came in with my boyfriend last night to their small no frills location and was immediately greeted by our server who was very attentive throughout our whole meal. It's true that they do serve everything using plastic ware which to me doesn't matter at all. I care about the quality of food and the food is definitely top notch! My boyfriend and I decided to order various menu items to share. I started with a hot bowl of Miso Soup $2 which was good; loved the portion which I felt was more than most places. Next we had the Rainbow Roll $10 (California roll topped w/various fish) which was glaringly fresh and came out beautifully. The Sexy Roll $10 (fish tempura, avocado, cilantro, jalapeño, rolled w/soy paper, tempura flakes, eel sauce, spicy mayo) was by far my favorite just because of all the incredible flavors in it. The Florida Roll $9 (spicy conch, cucumber, masago) definitely surprised me with its spice level and amount of conch within it. Lastly, we ordered the Sushi Corner Fried Rice $8 (chicken, shrimp, vegetables, and masago) which ultimately surprised me in portion and tastiness. The fried rice isn't over done with soy sauce so it remains tasting light though its also savory because of a smoky flavor. So tasty!
