“We had a family gathering catered by Dolce Italia and everything was absolutely amazing! We had trays of the Trenne Dolce Italia with sausage, an eggplant dish and homemade pasta with meatballs, which was absolutely delicious. “Absolutely the BEST ice cream around. As a family we drive an hour nearly every week to eat Jake's ice cream...YES, it's that good! Incredibly kind owner and staff as well, this place is a must visit if in the Sarasota area (and beyond!) Once you've tasted Jake's ice cream it's hard to ever eat anything else, he's raising the standards for homemade ice cream with every flavor - although we all have our favorites we've never tried one we didn't like!! (My personal favorite is Salty Turtle)”

“Wow! What an impressive evening at every level. Do not hesitate and book this restaurant for your next food adventure. The moment you walk into this establishment, you know the vibe is cool and these people know their food & spirits. The food is incredible and different than the typical Sarasota restaurant that has the same boring food offerings. I was impressed with the Iberico pork dish and unusually amazingly flavored vegetables and spices that accented the smoky, tender pork. The yuca side dish was similar to a potato but more flavorful and crispier mixed with an addition of corn, pickled cabbage and other vegetables. I haven't found a dish that impressed me more in recent years. The crispy salmon was a "oh wow" moment for my friend, who hails from the Pacific Northwest as do I, where Washingtonians know a thing or two about salmon. This restaurant provides your palate something different and if you're a veteran of dining out constantly, this is a welcomed change from the ordinary. The New York steak included an amazing demi glaze exploding with flavor and had the perfect consistency which can be a challenge to make right but State Street Eatinghouse + Cocktails got it right. I highly recommend the fried Brussell sprouts appetizer as they were a flavor explosion in our mouths. The bacon amplified the sprouts with the accompaniment of the balsamic glaze. My friend's husband and mine, who usually don't like this vegetable, were pleasantly surprised and ate more than the obligatory "try one" bite. State Street Eating House + Cocktails is owned by the same people that introduced us to tapas restaurant "Beso", which I recently tried, and awarded it my "Best Restaurant in Sarasota" award. This restaurant belongs in the "Restaurant Hall of Fame" of Sarasota or even US restaurants. I love it! My waiter, Dana, was super attentive and impressive. His vast knowledge of the drink and food menu was spot-on and his candor and expertise added to the whole evening's experience. What an amazing restaurant! I can't wait to book my next reservation and I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. Cheers! Dietary restrictions: I appreciate they were mindful of my cow's milk allergy which makes eating out difficult since most dishes have butter and/or cheese. Thank you for helping me feel confident about eating here.”

“We had dinner at Siegfried's Restaurant on Feb. 26th - our third meal there and we always leave with big smiles on our faces. The schnitzel and sauerbraten are both excellent, as are the sides and desserts. The staff is warm and engaging and we were so happy to meet and speak with the chef/owner. The restaurant is in one of the cozy-looking cottages on Fruitville Rd and is the perfect setting for this authentic German restaurant. Be sure you make a reservation and be prepared to enjoy a fantastic German meal!”

“My wife an I pass this Twin Peeks in Sarasota all the time and wanted to try it.
People said it was like hooters so my expectations were not high because I don't like fried food. My surprise was the food is fantastic, The rib app was a lot and fall off, the happy hour small crunch tocos awesome little bite. The best this was the Lobster roll my wife loved it. They say all the food is made from scratch and i would have to say it is. Very good

“This was our first time here. We are not from the area. We were so impressed with the plates. My husband is not a healthy eater but loved his Martin sandwich. It is the first pic I posted. He loved everything about it! He said the onion wrap was strong and really grew on him. He loved the jalapeño addition!
I had the taco salad… it was so it’s better than I ever imagined! I will definitely drive the 2+ hours it takes to get back to Sarasota to eat at this restaurant again and also purchase some of the sauces they use and bring them home! I guess they are involved in a farmers market nearby on Saturdays, where they sell a lot of their products which I am also excited to go to.

“Wow Wow Wow! Absolutely delicious and authentic Italian food! I never order pasta from a pizza joint... I'm way too serious about my pasta. I took a chance on Capo as I'd had a slice of their eggplant pizza and it was fabulous. I orded the rigatoni bolognese, and requested penne as a substitute. It was heaven. The sauce was perfect - the amount of garlic was subtley handled as was the rest of the seasoning. No bitterness and not too sweet either. You can tell the sauce had been cooked awhike and not rushed. The meat was high quality and the coupe de gras was to burrata! A huge helping of cheese right in the middle of the dish. The serving was huge... I only needed it for myself and I got 3 meals from it. Of course as all pasta lovers know it was even better the second day. I had the good fortune to be offered a meatball to try by the owner. I went back the next week for an order of meatballs and tried the gnocchi. Highly highly highly recommend giving this place a try!!!”

Though Solo, it was a semi quiet bar family and children friendly. Shout out to (Joe) who attended to me and was very attentive. After my meal I went to lounge. Beach waiters were attentive as well i.e water bucket and umbrella etc. I felt well attended to though I did not require much. I want to applaud management towards the etiquette and team spirit the men and women had. I could hear many complaints of orders being skipped or taking too long, yet felt the crew did thier best by compensating in other area's. I do have to say to update the beach lounge chairs they are very uncomfortable.”

We ate at Djonisi’s Restaurant and let me tell you, it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The server gave us his name - Djonisi of course, it’s his family restaurant! And his mother was cooking tonight - we suspected we were in for a treat. Everything, and I mean everything, we had was delicious and cooked with love. The grilled octopus, may be the best we’ve ever had. PeiThe eggplant, feta red pepper, and taramosalata dips, and dolmades, the lamb chops were incredible. And the grill for two! They brought a mini chaffer to the table to keep it warm, perfect. Baklava and custard pie for dessert. We took home almost half the food the portions were so big. The lemon potatos and the tomato rice served with each meal - just proves they know exactly what they are doing. Amazing Greek food, such a nice Greek family, super clean and priced well. We will be back. Once we make some room in our bellies from this feast! And I’m Greek… I’ve been eating this food my whole life so you can trust me, I’m a professional 😂”

I definitely always like to support a new place. But the staff really seemed somewhat uninterested. I understand the difficulty in finding good help so I didn’t think much of it. But when I ordered food and 2 boba teas and I got my food and 15 mins later got my teas. Food was decent and I hope they turn it around. I will give it another shot in a couple months so they can get more dialed in.”

First of all the dining room is beautiful, the staff was amazing and we were served by the manager and general manager. The table was nicely decorated with a card signed by the entire staff and rose pedals were so beautiful spread across the table. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. From the lobster escargot appetizer to the dry aged ribeye to the huge sides of pancetta corn and Gruyère au gratin potatoes everything was on point. Best steak we have had in our 41 years and best service as well. Forget other steakhouses and come to Hyde Park.”

“Wow Wow Wow! Absolutely delicious and authentic Italian food! I never order pasta from a pizza joint... I'm way too serious about my pasta. I took a chance on Capo as I'd had a slice of their eggplant pizza and it was fabulous. I orded the rigatoni bolognese, and requested penne as a substitute. It was heaven. The sauce was perfect - the amount of garlic was subtley handled as was the rest of the seasoning. No bitterness and not too sweet either. You can tell the sauce had been cooked awhike and not rushed. The meat was high quality and the coupe de gras was to burrata! A huge helping of cheese right in the middle of the dish. The serving was huge... I only needed it for myself and I got 3 meals from it. Of course as all pasta lovers know it was even better the second day. I had the good fortune to be offered a meatball to try by the owner. I went back the next week for an order of meatballs and tried the gnocchi. Highly highly highly recommend giving this place a try!!!”

“We celebrated our 41st anniversary here last night and we were thoroughly impressed. First of all the dining room is beautiful, the staff was amazing and we were served by the manager and general manager. The table was nicely decorated with a card signed by the entire staff and rose pedals were so beautiful spread across the table. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. From the lobster escargot appetizer to the dry aged ribeye to the huge sides of pancetta corn and Gruyère au gratin potatoes everything was on point. Best steak we have had in our 41 years and best service as well. Forget other steakhouses and come to Hyde Park.”

“Last night we celebrated our 27th anniversary. Cannot believe it's been 27 years! We dined Deep Lagoon Seafood & Oyster House - Lakewood Ranch, FL I cannot say enough about Deep Lagoon. Even we arrived we had a reservation and I asked for a game near the window, but there was a small wait, like 10 or 15 minutes. No big deal, we waited patiently as I figured they needed to set up a table or wait for diners to leave. Once we were seated we ordered drinks and an appetizer. The manager brought us Crab Rangoon appetizer on the house because of the wait. We were surprised and assured her we weren't upset at all about the wait. We had a lovely meal, calamari was fantastic, the scallops and swordfish were outstanding. We Donaghy with mandarin orange creme brulee which they gave us on the house as well. Our server Josh was knowledgeable and helpful and very pleasant. Prices are good as well. We will definitely be back!”

I ordered a roast beef with provolone and the works. The sandwich makers and staff did a great job. The food was excellent, very fresh. It was one of those sandwiches you didn't want to end. I'll definitely come back with friends. As like many other comparable restaurants, the prices came in at your average $15 bucks for a sandwich, drink and chips. Can't escape that unfortunately.”
