“This is real authentic Chinese cuisine more specifically it’s northern Chinese cuisine. Very similar to what you would find in Beijing or Shenyong. They had a great selection of beef, chicken, pork, lamb, shrimp, dishes, and skewers. They also had more exotic fair, such as squid, frogs, chicken feet, pork belly, beef heart, beef tripe, and duck bleed. It’s pretty awesome! The service was great even late at night and we really loved the cucumber salad and the grilled eggplant. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves authentic Chinese cuisine.“

I ordered beef with no veggies and even paid extra for meat — but the extra meat wasn’t there. When I raised the issue, the supervisor claimed he packed my food, but clearly something was missed. This isn’t the first time I’ve ordered from here; in the past they’ve taken care of me properly, but today was sloppy and disappointing. I hope management addresses this so it doesn’t happen again.“

“Ordered to-go from Liang’s Bistro pretty much by accident. I was in the area and wanted Asian to go but not Chinese or Ramen or Sushi. Limits the options, yes. Went here hoping it was more than a typical Chinese takeout shop. It turned out to be a bistro, as it is called, with a pretty and warm interior, table-side service and an impressive wine storage along one wall. The restaurant features an open kitchen with a large but not overwhelming menu. I chose yellow curry chicken, Thai basil with tofu and a pad Thai dish as well as shrimp lettuce wraps. Everything was delicious even though it was an hour before I made it home for us to eat dinner. What I like best is they do a little of everything - Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese and even noodles and poke without offering so many of each kind that you know it’s going to be awful. The manager took great care of me, mentioning that this is their second location after a long stint in Tampa and that the business is owned by a Chinese individual who is adamant about serving Asian food, rather than just his country’s dishes. I liked it and look forward to taking my family and friends. Feels comfortable and is affordable. I spent $62 to feed four people and we have leftovers in the fridge.“

“Delicious! I had sweet and sour chicken, and it was such a light, crisp batter that made the dish was so tasty! My husband had pepper steak and all he should do was rave. The egg rolls were crispy and dee-lish, as well as the pork fried rice. A delightful dinner. The staff was present, but not overbearing and the chef came out to check that all was to our taste. “I visited there because of the great reviews and I'm very pleased. I had the Szechuan Beef Combination and loved it. It was just spicy enough and very tasty. The portion looked small but there's quite a bit of food packed into those small packages. I used to go to Wok and Roll on Kennedy but it closed so I'm glad I found a Chinese takeout place I like even better. I highly recommend China Wok in South Tampa 🎉“

“We ordered delivery from Hong Kong a few weeks ago after an exhaustive search for *good* Chinese food. We were really pleasantly surprised at the quality, so we ordered again last night.

This place does not disappoint. We got the Chicken Fried Rice and The Four Seasons, and both dishes were excellent quality. The proteins they use are great quality and you can tell they are using fresh vegetables. They're crisp and perfectly cooked.

You get a lot of food for the price you pay as well. Delivery was on time (a few min early, actually).

This is our new go-to spot for Chinese food. Please keep up the quality, great prices and portions, and friendly service!

“First time trying this little restaurant on Gunn Highway - very pleasantly surprised. The food is very tasty and we will be returning.

Vegetarian options: I ordered the mixed vegetables and they were very tasty and a good variety. Lots of broccoli, snow peas, onions, mushrooms, carrots not the usual baby corn and celery. I asked for a bit of heat to the dish and they were happy to comply.

Parking: Easy to park, just pulled up in front of the restaurant. Very easy access.“

“I lived in the Carrollwood/Citrus Park area for about 11 years and China Wok was always our go-to Chinese place. This isn't a restaurant where you would likely want to sit and eat although you can. They are best suited for take-out and delivery and they were always quite reliable and consistently good. Portions are good-sized and ingredients always fresh. China Wok was always sensitive to and delivered on special requirements- leaving out certain ingredients or adjusting recipes to meet taste or dietary needs.

If you live in the area, I highly recommend China Wok for take out and delivery as I found it was the best Chinese restaurant in the area.“

1. The owner and family are so nice. They are very pleasant and accommodating. You feel a lot of kindness when speaking with them.

“This is by far my favorite Chinese food in the Tampa Brandon area. Lo-mein is perfectly seasoned and cooked, the chicken has a great chicken to breading ratio, THE EGG ROLLS are sooooo good. I’ve had egg rolls where they taste dirty from not washing the cabbage but I can tell they really go all out and do a great job. The krab ragoon has a good ratio of cream cheese. “Excellent! We ordered from Uber Eats, so I can’t speak to the ambience, but the food was delicious. We had chicken fried rice, sweet-and-sour shrimp, chicken and rice soup, and wontons. There was a brown gravy served on the side and I’m not sure what it was for, but we put it on everything and it was fantastic.
Everything was seasoned perfectly, the crispy breading on the shrimp was delicate and flavorful and the chicken was in small tender strips. Highly recommend!“

She keeps telling me the money will automatically go back to my card but there's nothing she can do to help me. I ask to speak with a manager. “I've been going to HoHo Choy since the location on Ehrlich was open. It closed about 20 years ago. Fletcher is the original, and it's still the best.

No one does giant, stretchy, delicious sesame + sweet red bean dimsum like they do. Daikon cakes are perfect. I make rice at home but sometimes... I need their veggie fried rice with extra bean sprouts.

Yeah, the krab rangoon are quite good. They aren't bready or weirdly sweet and cake-like on the outside, the way some places make them. The outside is crisp and folded into squares for a pocket of filling. But that's really low on the list of what I go for.

I know some people don't like how long something takes but the wait is worth it. They run a small restaurant, not a McDonald's. That's why the food comes out so well.

I've never seen many people eating in the dining room. It's open and calm, very basic layout and minimal decor- which to me, means a lot more cleaning. Ick. HoHo Choy keeps it simple. Take-out is made to order. Try something you've never had before! Try the dimsum menu!“
