“The cheesesteak was delicious, but it's not the authentic "Philly Style"(more like an inspired by chop steak sandwich). I was a little disappointed at 1st glance, but that soon changed once I took my 1st bite. I've tried a few places in ATL, but they had one of the best tasting sandwiches. “I have been here twice now and can say this is just a really fun experience. If you enjoy craft cocktails, or just even something different than the usual fine dining scene GO! You will not regret it.

Onto the details! (without giving too much away). Prepare for like a tasting menu of cocktails. The times I have been there have been 4 cocktails, each paired with a bite of food, and an amuse-bouche. The experience is themed around a 70s-90s cult classic movie that rotates a couple times a year. So far I have been to Karate Kid and Pulp Fiction. They try to do everything they can to lean into the themes, which makes for some really fun drinks (and glasses).

It takes about an hour and a half and there are add-ons as well, I would always recommend the bump, and they probably will too. If you are a big drinker you can supplement with an additional craft cocktail, which are also delicious. If you are a light weight no worries, the standard menu will treat you just right.

The food bites are usually really good for what you would expect out of a taco joint in a bus... Think a mix between bar food and fine dining while trying to adhere to the theme. All together really good flavors and fun bites.

The service, atmosphere, food, and drinks are all top notch. It is just a really fun night, this spot makes for a great date night. Let loose, get into it, and have a great time.

Some tips:
It is two to a table, probably not the place to crowd in with 12 of your friends, although apparently the later serving can get rowdy.

If heartbreak has ever felt good in a place like this, it’s here at The Local, and I’d know best. This sacred institution has seen me through good days, bad days, and the crushing realization that my friends like my roommate more than me.

The wings? So good they made me believe in love again—until I remembered I was here to drown my sorrows. The drinks? Cheaper than my therapist, and honestly, more effective. The vibe? A perfect mix of “we gave up on renovations the same year we opened—1998” and “a place where everybody knows your name.”

“Really good wings! We got the peri peri and the buffalo and they were both a great flavor. Peri peri are spicy watch out! This var has events and specials almost every day, karaoke on Saturdays which is pretty rare for atlanta. Great chill environment and lots of seating. We get to go a lot too.“

I hosted a friend's birthday which was an impromptu idea, and although last minute, the team at Holiday Bar stepped right up. First Erin, who handles events, helped me with deciding on the logistics, and even though I was asking for a space for the very next day, on a Friday, she was so kind and was committed to making something work, and she absolutely did! “I went out with some friends after attending the opening night of The Atlanta Black Theatre Festival. We had loads of laughs, and our waiter joined in and added to the laughter. The menu is very limited and geared towards patrons with a slightly more sophisticated pallet than the average person. I believe I had The Bronzino, which was trout on a bed of veggies with a special red sauce.
The fish was cooked to perfection with a nice crunch on the outside and juicy and flavorful on the inside. The veggies were the perfect size and had a nice soft crunch to them as well. The sauce was bursting with flavor!
I should've taken a Pic of my plate afterwards, cuz it was clean! Lol
We sat on the patio. It was nice, but they never turned the patio lights on, so the lighting was very dim. But it was a cool atmosphere.“
