We had Mr. Timothy as our server and he was so kind and a great help! If you all haven’t been here, you gotta try it!!“

“I am so glad I found this gem!! I just moved to Atlanta from Boston (where there’s Haitian food everywhere) so I was little bummed out that there aren’t really Haitian spots out here. But my girlfriend found this place on IG and sent it my way. I ordered online and got the griot plate which comes with the diri kole (rice and beans) and the banan peze (fried plantains) with a side of salad and pikliz. Also ordered a side of the j*** chicken pasta which came with some delicious bread, my order also came with a lemonade and it was one of the best lemonade I ever had. EVERYTHING was delicious the griot was cooked very well still nice and tender people tend to overcook griot but this here was perfect! Portion is great! It’s a 10/10 for me and will not mind making that 30+ minute drive in Atlanta traffic to get it.My only suggestion would be to give the sauce on the side as opposed to putting it on the rice and having Dressing for the salad.Thank you Ted for a great meal, you definitely have a frequent customer now.“

“Food is ALWAYS delicious! Great portions. Always fresh and never taste old or refrigerated, no matter if it's day or night. I don't go here for the experience. I literally order online and go in to pick it up then leave. Sometimes the parking attendant is rude when I say I just want to pick up food but I guess he just be busy with his flow and high I understand. I don't like their new online system. It charges me for extra stuff that I don't need and there's no way to not get it. But over all, top 5 favorite food kitchen in Atlanta, downtown area.“

“A hidden gem for sure!! The food is the ABSOLUTE BEST SOUL FOOD I’ve had in ATLANTA! We enjoyed the salmon, lamb chops, greens, Mac & cheese, yams, and honey corn bread. The greens were PERFECT not requiring any condiments at all! The salmon and lamb cooked to perfection and the yams and Mac & cheese didn’t disappoint. Honestly it was all soooo good!! This is great for day or night date or with family/ friends. Our server, E, was attentive, friendly, and best of all informative on the food and drinks!! The music and atmosphere were a nice adult ambiance to enjoy laughs or even still chat with those you are enjoying your meal. A definite return and a definite must visit if you haven’t been yet! “Firstly, our waitress Risha was amazing! She was warm and personable. She provided excellent recommendations and communicated effectively with us.The atmosphere was great as well. Great music that wasn’t too loud. I was able to talk to my husband and enjoy the music too.Now the food…..10/10!!! I had the lamb chops and they were the best lamb chops I’ve ever had. My husband recently had lamb chops from another restaurant for triple the price and he said they were better than those! He had the catfish and grits and when I tasted it, I didn’t even have words ? We also had the jerk chicken egg-rolls which were very fresh and delicious. Drinks were also great.This is our 2nd time visiting and we absolutely will be back every time we come to ATL.“

“This is my favorite place to go for Nigerian food. Moving from Houston, it was a challenge to find good food, especially Nigerian food. This place does not disappoint. The food is great and so is the service. My standard order is jollof rice with goat meat with a side of Efo. I also love their Moin Moin and Suya.“

“My uncle visiting from out of town wanted soul food for dinner but didn't want to drive too far. This restaurant was nearby us with great reviews. The food did NOT disappoint, everything is cooked freshly, delicious and worth the wait. Magic Soul Food's staff was professional and friendly - the chef even stopped by our table before we left. “I'm not sure what was better.....the Food or The Service!!! They offer an amazing collaboration of standard Soul Food and creative combos. I had the Cat Fish and Collars Waffle. The seasoning on the cat fish was perfect, not salty but with the right amount of spice. The collard waffle was DE-LI-CIOUS!!! It gave sweet and savory and they offered some hot sauce to add in addition to the syrup and I was in HEAVEN! We also ordered The deviled eggs and WOW! “Had a girls outing with my best friend here for brunch. Valet parking is $20. For our drinks we had the jungle juice and the jack marley. The greeter, with a very pleasant personality met us at the door and welcomed us in. The energy was high from the staff as well as inviting. We both decided on the Afta Church, tried the fried green tomatoes and added the bussin muffins. Beautiful presentation, deliciously prepared and from my own experience, the meal was intoxicating. I'm a salt sensitive person and I was pleasantly surprised the meal wasn't high in sodium.I don't eat out often but when I do, I want to enjoy it and I love when the meal and atmosphere leaves a lasting impression. “Omgggg! At first when I looked at it I thought it was going to be so bland, but that first bite REALLY humbled me omg. I got the cubed steak white rice Mac & cheese and yams. The Mac and & cheese is just like home, & any southern folk know exactly what I mean by that! The meat wasn’t as seasoned but still had flavor to it and when you mix the yams with the Mac it’s heaven. “I tried this place out while on a trip to ATL & I'm really glad I stumbled upon it. I was looking for a diner and ended upside inside of a building that essentially was a whole bunch of food places in one. I got the Inferno Fried Rice and it genuinely lives up to its name. They ask you for your spice level when ordering, please do not underestimate the spice level! I ordered 'Hot Spicy' and I got hiccups after the first few bites. It's very flavorful and you get a lot of food. If you order fried tofu with the order it's free but I wanted to try the potstickers so there was an upcharge. They have options like vegan duck and vegan shrimp, will definitely have to try it out next time. My food came out around the 25/30 min mark, which honestly isn't too bad for a Sunday night event night (One Music Fest)“

“Was looking for some good soul food after church and found this place! The customer service was amazing. I believe they were getting a late start due to the owner having a headache but she opened up for me which I appreciate a lot ! Very friendly. even if the food hadn’t been all that great I’d try it again simply based on the customer service. Food was great tho!! Yams - 9, Mac & cheese - 8 (a little salty but bearable), Turkey leg - 7.5, mango lemonade definitely a 10!!! Portion size was great for the price! I’ll def be back!“

“First time eating from Planted Soul ATL. At first I was hesitant because I was thrown off by getting a link and a locker to pick up my food. Still, I ordered the Good 4 the Soul entree and followed the directions to get my food. I must say the food was out of this world, good! The vegan chicken was the best I've had anywhere. The yams and macaroni and cheese were incredible! Whenever I want a taste of vegan Soul Food, I will order again from Planted Soul ATL. Might I add, the pick up concept works great too.“

“I drove to the restaurant after seeing it on the morning show with Gail king. I ordered the fried chicken it was delicious the macaroni was dry, the black eyed peas tasted right out of the can, the yams were okay They were out of oxtails and the peach cobbler was too sweet and it had chunks of sugar on the top and it had no crust it was four of us a robot brought the food to the table, a different waitress took the food from the robot and served it to us, we all had a dinner we had 3 drinks, 2 servings of the peach cobbler my bill was $235 dollars they automatically took almost $30 in tips I guess for the robot because we only seen the waitress once ? Look here if you looking for some comfort food like chicken, fish, and fries this your place this is not a soul food joint they don't even serve Turkey and dressing.“

“Whoa! OMG! For the Love of GOD... These Tacos are really good! We just worked Doja Cat The Scarlet Tour here in Atlanta. Here it is 1:30am and my brother and I was about to head home to get something to eat. I forgot the Crew had catered lunch waiting in the back of State Farm Arena. My plate had the BBQ Tacos with cilantro lime rice with black eyed peas in them. That was great. I'm literally looking at my brother like"What you got". He had the Blackened Fish tacos with that same tasty rice. His eyes bucked big and I heard him say "uuuummmm". You know it's good at this point. I leaned over to get a sample of my brother plate and it was empty. Gone! Done! Finshed! I recommend and will find where to dine whenever I'm in Norcross.“
