“This comment is about the salad which was amazing but it's more geared to the young lady that works there. You see, I had just came from Atlanta verifying the news that I have the last stage of stomach cancer and was given two years to live. As I was sitting at the table waiting on my plate well my boyfriend and I, the tears came a flowing and the customers that was there couldn't see me crying but when this young lady saw me she asked if everything was ok and I couldn't hold the tears and I bawled like a newborn baby and what she did I knew there was a god and that would be my gi yo restaurant forever. She gave me a hug and yes I'm a hugger and she told me what ever I'm going through I will be ok and I cried on her shoulder for a bit and after i felt better. We both smiled and I left and went home. Then has I opened my salad to eat and the first bite was explosive well I would have said heaven but I can only imagine that part and I love God but not trying to go there no time soon lol so this salad was just amazing. I just had to leave this review to say that day my soul got fed just as well as my belly. Thank you young lady, you know who you are.“

“Your website shows that you are open until 2:30 this afternoon; however, after driving across town, I find that you are closed. As I sat in my car over a span of 15 minutes, I saw 4 other groups walk to your door to also realize you are closed. It would be nice if you informed people through your website when you will reopen. During our last visit, Mike Seekins, the owner and chief, took the time to personally come out and chat with us, even offering a couple of insights into the secrets behind his delicious cheese grits. Of course, he's not spilling the entire recipe, just a tip or two. What adds to the charm of Famous Mike's is not just the fantastic food but the super-friendly staff and the wonderful atmosphere they've cultivated. “Usually have pretty spot on order so I never check my food. Today I had no veggies in my vegetable fried rice… both order were just rice… there is no way to report when the order is wrong on the website or app either which is annoying. My fault for not checking my food but I will start checking for now on.“

“I work on the campus where Edgar's Bistro is located so I can literally call down to place my order and pick it up. That being said, Edgar's has changed a bit since I've been going there. The restaurant is now a student training facility. They are only open seasonally and only for limited hours. In the current quarter, Edgar's is open Wed - Fri, 11am to 2 pm. Also, the menu changes seasonally.This quarter, I have tried roughly 50% of the menu so far and everything has been good. The dine-in service is somewhat slower than calling ahead because everything is cooked to order... but again, they are students and they are learning. I feel it was a good dining experience.“

“I stopped by Applebee’s Grill + Bar recently for a laid‑back dinner, and the experience was exactly what I hoped: casual, comfortable, and with familiar food that hits the spot without needing fuss. The interior is unpretentious — warm lighting, simple décor, booths and tables that make for easy conversation. There’s a bar area if you feel like a drink, but mostly it’s a “come‑as‑you‑are” kind of vibe, good for families, friends, or just chilling solo.

I went for a burger and ribs combo, with a side of fries and maybe a casual drink on the side. The burger was juicy enough, the ribs saucy and satisfying, and the sides — fries and coleslaw — did their job without trying too hard. Nothing felt overly fancy or pretentious; it was just straightforward comfort food. Portions were decent, and I left feeling full but not overly stuffed.

Service was friendly and easygoing. The staff checked in now and then without hovering — just enough to make sure drinks stayed filled and we had what we needed. The pace was relaxed, which worked well since the place wasn’t jam‑packed, but even if it were, Applebee’s tends to lean into that “comfortable restaurant” energy rather than rushed service.

All in all, Applebee’s Grill + Bar makes for a good “safe bet.” Whether you’re out with family, grabbing dinner with friends, or just want something familiar and no‑fuss, it delivers what you expect. It doesn’t try to redefine “dining” — but sometimes, you don’t need that. You just need good comfort food and a chill evening.“

“I was in Macon for a few days on business. The Grey Goose Players Club is conveniently located near Wesleyan College in a small strip mall. I went there for lunch two days in a row and really enjoyed those experiences! They had a meatloaf special which I paired with green beans and corn nuggets. The meatloaf was almost as good as what I make at home! The Gooseburger is also very good and deserves the high ratings from other reviewers on this site. \n\nI will certainly return when I'm back in town for Alumnae Weekend April 2026!“
