“This comment is about the salad which was amazing but it's more geared to the young lady that works there. You see, I had just came from Atlanta verifying the news that I have the last stage of stomach cancer and was given two years to live. As I was sitting at the table waiting on my plate well my boyfriend and I, the tears came a flowing and the customers that was there couldn't see me crying but when this young lady saw me she asked if everything was ok and I couldn't hold the tears and I bawled like a newborn baby and what she did I knew there was a god and that would be my gi yo restaurant forever. She gave me a hug and yes I'm a hugger and she told me what ever I'm going through I will be ok and I cried on her shoulder for a bit and after i felt better. We both smiled and I left and went home. Then has I opened my salad to eat and the first bite was explosive well I would have said heaven but I can only imagine that part and I love God but not trying to go there no time soon lol so this salad was just amazing. I just had to leave this review to say that day my soul got fed just as well as my belly. Thank you young lady, you know who you are.“

“Your website shows that you are open until 2:30 this afternoon; however, after driving across town, I find that you are closed. As I sat in my car over a span of 15 minutes, I saw 4 other groups walk to your door to also realize you are closed. It would be nice if you informed people through your website when you will reopen. Tried call with no answer or recording. Love your food, but you guys need to improve your communication.“

“If I ever find myself in downtown Macon, Famous Mike's will definitely be on my radar. Our usual breakfast stop is there, mainly because we can't resist the allure of their cheese grits and French toast. During our last visit, Mike Seekins, the owner and chief, took the time to personally come out and chat with us, even offering a couple of insights into the secrets behind his delicious cheese grits. Of course, he's not spilling the entire recipe, just a tip or two. What adds to the charm of Famous Mike's is not just the fantastic food but the super-friendly staff and the wonderful atmosphere they've cultivated. If you decide to drop by, be sure to mention that Patty and Wayne recommended the spot. It's always a pleasure to share our positive experiences, and I'm confident others will enjoy the warmth and delicious offerings at Famous Mike's just as much as we do!😁“

“I am so happy to be able to leave this review! After I blessed my food, I had no time to take pictures. The food was delicious and prepared with love. My sister and I ordered the salmon egg rolls, salmon Philly, chicken wings, lemonades, and red velvet cake. I left no crumbs!“

“I got the Steak Fried Rice. The rice is a bit undercooked to my personal liking, but overall I think it’s good. Flavor is a bit bland, may need some pepper. The broccoli adds a good bit of moisture in each bite, good with the rice. Onions cooked to perfection, as well as the egg, carrots, and peas. I would order again. The portion is good enough for one as a meal, but would probably require some more food if sharing.“

“I work on the campus where Edgar's Bistro is located so I can literally call down to place my order and pick it up. That being said, Edgar's has changed a bit since I've been going there. The restaurant is now a student training facility. They are only open seasonally and only for limited hours. In the current quarter, Edgar's is open Wed - Fri, 11am to 2 pm. Also, the menu changes seasonally.This quarter, I have tried roughly 50% of the menu so far and everything has been good. The dine-in service is somewhat slower than calling ahead because everything is cooked to order... but again, they are students and they are learning. I feel it was a good dining experience.“

I got the hamburger on rye with onion and I also got extra crispy onion rings and they were extra crispy with sour cream. “After our initial lunch spot turned out to be closed, gave Pig On A Pie a try and it was really, really good. Just got a small pepperoni and would definitely come back again. Nice to know good pizza is on this side of town.“

They had our table reserved with an anniversary card, offered excellent service, served delicious food, and gifted us a complimentary dessert. 100/10 recommend and will be back!“

So I was surprised when my best friend said let's go. Service was great and the food was good. I had the country fried steak,eggs, hashbrown and biscuit.“

“So, we were told by a waitress at another awesome Macon restaurant, to go to Ocmulgee Brewpub for the best burger in town...SHE WAS RIGHT!
She explained that another establishment tried to claim that fame but it just wasn't true.
The handcut fries were another highlight to this cheerful and fun
joint, that is not a watering hole alone, but a delicious place to refuel & have fun playing a board game or watching some sports.
Oh, and they do have gluten free buns, but they were out when we visited.“

“This restaurant features American, Cuban, and Mexican cuisine in a quaintly decorated establishment. Service was friendly, warm and hospitable. The Cubans came recommended, which my friend ordered, while I got the bistecca which came with rice, fries plantains, and yuca root. Everything was flavorful and came out hot and fresh.

“I'm new to Macon as a resident but been coming here for years after discovering it by accident in 2021. Food and drinks on point, they need ginger ale for mixers though as I like whiskey & tequila with it. It settles stomachs and less calories. I would come there more to drink if they did. The food and price of that fish is worth every other weekend though.“
