“This comment is about the salad which was amazing but it's more geared to the young lady that works there. You see, I had just came from Atlanta verifying the news that I have the last stage of stomach cancer and was given two years to live. As I was sitting at the table waiting on my plate well my boyfriend and I, the tears came a flowing and the customers that was there couldn't see me crying but when this young lady saw me she asked if everything was ok and I couldn't hold the tears and I bawled like a newborn baby and what she did I knew there was a god and that would be my gi yo restaurant forever. She gave me a hug and yes I'm a hugger and she told me what ever I'm going through I will be ok and I cried on her shoulder for a bit and after i felt better. We both smiled and I left and went home. Then has I opened my salad to eat and the first bite was explosive well I would have said heaven but I can only imagine that part and I love God but not trying to go there no time soon lol so this salad was just amazing. I just had to leave this review to say that day my soul got fed just as well as my belly. Thank you young lady, you know who you are.“

“Your website shows that you are open until 2:30 this afternoon; however, after driving across town, I find that you are closed. As I sat in my car over a span of 15 minutes, I saw 4 other groups walk to your door to also realize you are closed. It would be nice if you informed people through your website when you will reopen. Tried call with no answer or recording. Love your food, but you guys need to improve your communication.“

Our usual breakfast stop is there, mainly because we can't resist the allure of their cheese grits and French toast. During our last visit, Mike Seekins, the owner and chief, took the time to personally come out and chat with us, even offering a couple of insights into the secrets behind his delicious cheese grits. Of course, he's not spilling the entire recipe, just a tip or two. What adds to the charm of Famous Mike's is not just the fantastic food but the super-friendly staff and the wonderful atmosphere they've cultivated. “Usually have pretty spot on order so I never check my food. Today I had no veggies in my vegetable fried rice… both order were just rice… there is no way to report when the order is wrong on the website or app either which is annoying. My fault for not checking my food but I will start checking for now on.“

“I work on the campus where Edgar's Bistro is located so I can literally call down to place my order and pick it up. That being said, Edgar's has changed a bit since I've been going there. The restaurant is now a student training facility. They are only open seasonally and only for limited hours. In the current quarter, Edgar's is open Wed - Fri, 11am to 2 pm. Also, the menu changes seasonally.This quarter, I have tried roughly 50% of the menu so far and everything has been good. The dine-in service is somewhat slower than calling ahead because everything is cooked to order... but again, they are students and they are learning. I feel it was a good dining experience.“

“Me and my 2 youngest boys went. It was quiet clean and the service was great. Our chicken was not quite cooked all the way thru, but we were taking a to go bag so I didn't complain we will hear it up and cook it further at home... even thought I asked for it to be well done. Cheese steak loaded fries, patty melt, and onion rings were great. Eat onion rings while they are hot! Once they get cold, they get really rich, but that is true most everywhere.“

There are some creative breakfast items on the menu, in addition to the staple breakfast selections. I enjoyed yeh San Bernardino omelette - but would make some recommendation to bring it from “just ok” to “very good” is simple: take a moment and heat (cook) the items that you put On Top of the omelette- and place them inside the the omelette where they will be at least warm and cohesive as an omelette is expected.

Now, I do appreciate a little visually appealing if some toppings (shredded cheddar and, of course, pico de gallo goes on top)- but the chicken should definitely be Inside - not in tip getting cold and chewy

The coffee is amazing!!!

The English muffins came out just warmed and kale- having ordered them toasted. Again, it takes just an extra minute or two to make to order toasted English muffins.

“This is by far one of the best small restaurants I have ever been in. We went on a Saturday when it was first opened and we had a waiter serve us almost immediately and pleasantly. I highly recommend the Cuban sandwich as it was by far the best one I've eaten in Macon so far. The atmosphere is kinda older feeling but authentic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.“

Orders were incorrect (I ordered a Goose burger plate with Onion Rings and got Fries instead. Rings were eventually received). Food was good, service a bit slack. I guess large parties (12) are not the norm. Feel ambivalent about returning.“
