“Got the unagi donburi and it was super delicious. Excellent balance in the portions and top notch eel. The salad had a tasty orange dressing that cut through the eel’s fattiness nicely. I’m gunna keep seeking out this place when I’m back at the food truck oasis!“

“8/2023We were staying across the street at Maui Seaside Hotel to support Maui relief efforts. This was a very convenient and pleasant option. Food and selection were great, quick, and supported with friendly service. It was bust but didn't take too long to get to our table of nine. Not going into details about the plethora of items we ordered but suffice to say everything was onolicious! Again, the friendly service ( may have been the manager) helped top off the evening. I would definitely want to go back! ??✌️“

“My wife and I went here during our honeymoon and it was fantastic! The food was cooked really well and to our specifications. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. The menu was diverse and reasonably priced as well! Would not hesitate to come here again!!!“

“We had about 8 hours to kill before heading back to Texas and all my daughter wanted was some sushi. We drove from Paia to Umi Sushi and we were not disappointed. We must have gotten there right before the rush because it went from just us and two other people to a wait to get in. It was fresh and actually cheaper than the place we in Flower Mound, Texas. If you see the place it looks like a whole in the wall but don’t pass it up. Thank you again and we will be back for sure!!“

I was a little taken aback because it was a food truck…. But wow! The roll was fabulous & fresh with the rice cooked perfectly, gyoza was authentic, they were very pleasant with wonderful service. “Super vibey, they had set it up very cute! Nice tables and prompt service. We got the Aburi Shimesaba which was new for us, and very good! My wife enjoyed the Kakuni soup and the noodles were es expected - DELICIOUS! Also didn't know Soba was a complete protein, added bonus. The sushi rolls were good, but I did find it odd for the price that we only got a half roll (6 pieces). I think price-wise a full roll is to be expected, but everything seemed handmade and tasted clean and yummy. Water was always full, super nice server, and the mochi was the best I've had“

“Hard to find good decent place to eat in upcountry but Tun’s Kohima restaurant has good food, nice and cozy setting, menu is big, lots of options and friendly staffs!!“

“What a lovely gem in Paia. Great location and very warm and inviting. Services was really good and very friendly. The sushi was really tasty, my husband had that and me as a vegetarian had the Blackend Tofu. I realize food is pricey in Maui however charging the same for the tofu dish as fresh fish was a bit much. But it was and excellent dish.“
