“It’s a cute little town with a handful of galleries and other shops. Not to be missed is Popo’s cookies and Banana Patch ( if it’s still around with kauai made pottery)“

“Great kalua pork, way better than on the main land! Higher quality than the l&l in Hanalei too, my favorite Hawaiian barbecue grill. The pork was tender and had great flavor as well in addition. The lady that took our order was very nice and serviced us quickly and with the swiftness. Can’t wait to come back!“

“Local spot for great plate lunches. Got the #11 and #5. #11 with Korean Fried Chicken, Teriyaki Steak and Fried Saimin and Rice and #5 chicken katsu, hamburger steak, pulled pork, mac salad and rice. Both were crazy tasty and portions are massive. Small little counter ordering place but the food is bomb.“

“This is now our “go to” place when we are in Poipu, simply now what should be considered the best restaurant on this end of the island hands down.“

“Went here our first day on the island for drinks and ended up getting dinner, too. The service was pretty slow, but the server was super friendly and attentive once she finally made it to the table. My wife had the mahi mahi tacos and I had the mahi sandwich and they were fantastic. We also had two drinks each, the last two were the lava flow (delicious) and mudslide (not bad, but not great). The views are gorgeous overlooking the ocean and the prices aren’t awful. For 4 cocktails and two entrees it was about $120 which is honestly one of the cheaper places near the beach.“

“The food was delicious and some of the largest portions in the area for the money. Entrees were close to $20 per person which was significantly cheaper than a lot of other nice dining options nearby. A couple things that were less than ideal was that they didn't see our reservation that we made through open table and when we got there we had to prove to them that the reservation was made properly on our end. Also they were out of salad and fried fish as-well as a few other things I cannot remember. Overall I would recommend this place and go here again just temper expectations of a seem-less process to dine.“

“Justin, you and your team did a fabulous job for our Son's wedding rehearsal dinner! We are so grateful for all the hard work leading up to our event and for your careful attention to detail and responsiveness to our requests. The food was a wonderful combination of flavors and delicious in every way! Our family and wedding party loved and raved about it all! A few of the many items people keep raving about was the amazing Macaroni Salad and your special BBQ sauces. We all agreed they were the best we ever had! It was so nice to work with someone who goes above and beyond to make an event a success. It was a night all of our guests enjoyed greatly and will not be forgetting anytime soon. With great gratitude, Carmen, John & Melanie, Eric (the proud parents) Paige and Dylan (the bride and groom) San Francisco, CA“

“Red Salt is amazing! Highly recommend it. The best food on the island. Our server was Allen and he was amazing!!!! Great service and careful with our parties’ food allergies. Lovely memorable dining experience. The toasted pear salad and filet mignon were outstanding!“

“Tidepools is a very romantic open air bungalow style restaurant sitting over various Koi ponds aglow with fire from the tikis. Our server was very nice, knowledgeable and available. We enjoyed the vegetable summer roll and lamb chops as appetizers. Both were very tasty and the lamb chops more than ample as a meal if you ordered sides. We were so pleased with our center cut and filet steak as our entree. The center cut sirloin was smothered in a rum compound butter and seasoned to perfection. The ambiance made for a wonderful island experience. I would highly recommend dining here, then walking the beautiful grounds. Tidepools is great for family and dinner with friends. We had a wonderful time.“
“Best Luau on the island. Can’t wait to come back.“

“This food truck is the best place for poké on Kauai! Charming relaxed atmosphere, DELICIOUS food at affordable prices, all next to an open building with great shops. Corn hole game for the kiddos set up near the covered seating area. All 8 in our group agreed that this was the place to eat! Visited 2-3 times during our stay. Highly recommend!“
“Great place, get there early , usually there is a line but it moves fast.“

“A cute little taco stand advertising “authentic Mexican food” located just off the main highway in Hanapepe (although I think there are other locations elsewhere on the island).
On a Monday at 11:45 we were the only customers and each ordered two tacos, fish and carnitas. You order at the window and they call you when the food is ready. There are a handful of picnic tables scattered around the taco shack or get the food to go.
The fish taco was good, but the pork with big chunks of tender pork was fantastic-highly recommended. They were pretty quick and reasonably priced with tacos around $7 each.“

“We enjoyed Puka Dog very much! A unique and tropical experience with the different flavors of sauces. Personally we had one with mild sauce & passion fruit sauce and another with spicy jalapeño & ketchup. Delicious until the last bite. Grab extra napkins and head to the beach to enjoy with a fresh squeezed lemonade! You won’t be disappointed“

“The Prime Rib was enjoyed by my son-in-law, and I LOVED the Stung Honey Fried Chicken. The coconut shrimp were the perfect accompianment to the King Tiki Mai Thai. My wife loved the Asian Salad, but my DIL thought the Macademia Crusted Mahi Mahi was a bit dry. Service was SPECTACULAR, and the kids menu was extensive - our 3.5 yo grandson loved the grilled cheese sandwich with waffle fries, our 19 month old grandaughter loved the pasta with marinara, and there was also pasta with butter sauce, cheese burger sliders with waffle fries, and chicken tenders with waffle fries. The view of the pool and ocean from under the lanai was also terrific!“

“We stopped to get some dessert to go with the dinner we were going to make after a rainy day of sightseeing. I picked the sweet potato haupia pie, my husband had the lilikoi chiffon with cream cheese, and my nephew had the 4 pc Ube Mochi. We each tried a taste of each other’s desserts and I liked the lilikoi dessert the best. I forgot to take pics of the desserts but we also bought a dozen of taro rolls which we used for breakfasts egg sandwiches for 2 of the days. Ruth was so helpful and friendly in answering all my questions about the desserts in helping my selection. My mom grew up in Hawaii and used to make haupia and delicious rolls so it brought back some sweet memories and was especially fitting since part of our reason for our trip was to scatter some of her ashes.“
