“We found this place on Google and it was delicious! It's a great place to eat adjacent to the ocean. I got the fish tacos that were out of this world and hubby got the shrimp tacos. Said they were also delicious. They had Coca-Cola which also gave them bonus points in my book and brought our tacos to us at the picnic tables. Also bonus was they were open at 1030am as we were hungry!!!”

“Went to hukilau for 37th wedding anniversary. Oct 15. Was dying for prime rib. Didn’t care about price I wanted Prime rib so so bad. All we get here on Kauai is choice. There is no fat in the meat no marbling and you can’t cut it with a fork. You have to slice every bite. That is choice. And if you’re good with that. Then the rib is great. It was cooked perfectly. But I wanted the prime rib. Prime has fat all thru it and so tender the meat falls apart. Little pieces of fat around the edges and you can see the marbling in the center. I actually asked the waitress what was on my plate (which I have never ever done before) and she said it was prime she even went to the chef to check. He too said it was prime. I have cooked a lot of prime rib in my lifetime so I feel like I know what talking about but I felt like I was being blown off like an unknowing tourist. All I know is that my meat did not look anything like what is in the photo of their prime rib on the website with photos of their menu. Love this place otherwise. Been going there for 30 years. Incredibly nice waithelp and an incredible view for a romantic evening.”

“I really wanted to give this place 5 stars, but the inconsistent service and food held me back. We went three times because my husband likes Lau Lau, and it was within walking distance from our condo. The lady who works the morning shift is wonderful. The younger servers they had for the evening shift need more training. We enjoyed the food two out of the three visits.”

“This are by far the best tacos we’ve had in the island. We tried the pastor ones, asada and mahi mahi and they were very good. The green salsa they had went great with the asada tacos. We are Mexicans and know about real tacos so we really recommend this place.”

“Chef Judy provided incredible service and a delicious, beautiful cake at our recent wedding. She went above and beyond, ensuring our wedding was perfect, helping us develop a backup plan on such short notice when our reception venue/food fell through last minute.

Our guests are still raving about the coconut cream filling. She was also very accomodating for several food allergies. Her attention to detail allowed us to focus on enjoying our special day. Thank you once again for everything!”

“Great local roaster that knows how to roast to bring out the natural varietal profile. This was our go to morning cup everyday while vacationing in Kauai. You can get any bean on the menu as a pour over. It was my first time trying coffees from Thailand and India. The baristas know how to pull an espresso shot. Nice crema and rich flavor. Not knocking the iconic Kauai Coffee, but if you like coffee that's roasted to bring out flavor profiles natural to the bean, Imua is the place for you. ☕”

“We love JoJo’s Shaved Ice. It is the best we have had anywhere. We always go to the one in Hanalei several times per trip. We made the mistake of going to to the shaved ice place in Princeville and what a mistake. It cost more than twice as much and was less than half as good. The only place we will go now is JoJo’s! In addition to a much better flavor, it also melts very slow and does not turn into a mushy mess like others.”

“One of the best Garlic Shrimp place on the island so far (we tried 8 others prior). Large shrimps (around 5 pieces) with shell on, head on. Comes hot, spicy, and garlicy. Friendly owner Nd quick service. Not too many shades to sit when it gets crowded.”

We ordered bigger plate of chowmein, fried rice, Beijing beef, black pepper chicken with watermelon mango refresher. The prices in Hawaii are definitely more than other states for same chain.”

“A it hard to find but worth the effort. A bit set back at rhe back if a strip mall.The meads are not your typical meads. Not sweet. The tastings are well thought out. Tbr best way is to get a full flight of current offerings and a flight of aged and special offerings to taste through the differences.

“Really a great find. My wife and I came here on our first trip to Kauai 12 years ago, while out for a walk near our hotel. We just had to come back (it’s now 2024). Cool to see they’re still making really good food in this tiny shop off the main road. Note that they have a menu that’s bigger than what’s up on the big board. Try the meat jun.”

“This place used to have the most incredible burger called the big kahuna burger with this pineapple jam. We came every single year and got the same burger because it was that good.

Just came back recently and found out THEY GOT RID OF THE BURGER!!! WHY OH WHY?!?
