“Tidepools is a very romantic open air bungalow style restaurant sitting over various Koi ponds aglow with fire from the tikis. Our server was very nice, knowledgeable and available. We enjoyed the vegetable summer roll and lamb chops as appetizers. Both were very tasty and the lamb chops more than ample as a meal if you ordered sides. We were so pleased with our center cut and filet steak as our entree. The center cut sirloin was smothered in a rum compound butter and seasoned to perfection. The ambiance made for a wonderful island experience. I would highly recommend dining here, then walking the beautiful grounds. Tidepools is great for family and dinner with friends. We had a wonderful time.”

“This food truck is the best place for poké on Kauai! Charming relaxed atmosphere, DELICIOUS food at affordable prices, all next to an open building with great shops. Corn hole game for the kiddos set up near the covered seating area. All 8 in our group agreed that this was the place to eat! Visited 2-3 times during our stay. Highly recommend!”

“Love this place. I've been to a few locations and it's always good! The coffee is amazing, but the real shocker is how great the food is! The local breakfast sandwich, croissantwich and Breakfast Burrito and so delicious, but my favorite by far is the Lomi Salmon Bagel....I crave it!!!!! Highly recommend!”

“Looking for an ice cream treat near Poipu? You’ll find it in Koloa at Koloa Mill Ice Cream and Coffee. They offer about 30 flavors of which “Banana Mac” was my favorite. So much so I had it three days in a row!! They also have Shave Ice, pastries and coffee. The servings are reasonably priced, generous and the service friendly!! We highly recommend a visit and while there you can visit the other quaint shops.”

“Food at La Spezia is outstanding! This was the first time dining at La Spezia (party of three), and we couldn't have been more pleased. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive. The food was the most delicious any of of us has ever had. I ordered the gnocchi, my friend ordered the short rib ravioli (and couldn't stop raving about it!), and my husband devoured the wagyu hanger steak (he said it was amazing!). The wine we drank was terrific as well (a red zinfandel)! Even though all of us were full, we ordered dessert the salted caramel panna cotta, which was outstanding! All in all a meal we will never forget! We highly recommend La Spezia for a very enjoyable night, to anyone looking for a great restaurant in Koloa.”

“The shave ice at Mango’s was exceptionally good and the Mac nut ice cream was so creamy. Much creamier than all others we’ve eaten. The staff were pleasant and we were well pleased with our visit. Definitely recommend Mangos.”

“We were in town from KC during the superbowl and wanted some bbq for the game. We are a bit picky and spoiled with bbq but D's hit the spot! We had ribs, pulled pork, burnt ends, and brisket. Good portion sizes and great taste! All of the meat was the perfect level of tender without falling apart and had great flavor. The medium sauce was sooo good! A slow heat with a lot of flavor! Thank you D's for great food and friendly service! Don't hesitate and go get some delicious bbq in your life!”

“We had delicious sandwiches from Shipwreck. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The sandwiches (the Moa—a Buffalo chicken; the caprese—fresh mozz and tomato; and the Italian) were huge and full of fresh ingredients with plenty of dressing. We took out, but the outdoor seating area looked inviting. Try it!”

“This place was highly recommended by my patient that was part of a Facebook Group that posted about this place a lot and they were featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It was good and the service was fantastic, but not so good that we made a second stop on our trip. Their service was quick too, so it's a good stop if you only have a short time to eat! Their menu includes: Truffle Burger, Veggie Burger, Chicken Katsu Sandwich, Kenji Burger (teriyaki, ponzu aioli, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, tomato & arugula), Misoyaki Fish Sandwich, Salads, Sushi Burritos & Bowls (loco moco, chicken katsu, misoyaki fish, and poke). There are 2 locations on the island”

“Was apprehensive of trying this place after reading a few reviews, but I'm glad we gave this place a shot. Their core ramen offerings were extremely strong. The broth is infused with sesame oil, which I thought was a nice local touch.

My wife ordered the katsudon donburi, and we found the egg slightly too salty. I blame her for ordering donburi at a ramen restaurant though.”

“An Unforgettable Thai Dining Experience!

Craving Thai absolutely blew me away! From the moment we walked towards the food truck, the atmosphere was cozy and quaint. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations without being pushy.

We started with the crispy spring rolls and it had fresh flavors and perfectly balanced spices. For the main course, I had the pad see ew and crispy chicken, and it was hands down one of the best experiences I've ever tasted with it being rich, tasty, and just the right level of heat.
Portions were generous, and the prices were more than reasonable for the quality.

Craving Thai has easily become my new go to spot for Thai food. Highly recommend!”

“Portion sizes! These guys kill it. Buddy behind the bar is phenomenal and the vibes of the place is a perfect combo of Italian restaurant vibes with relaxed Hawaii atmosphere. Reasonably priced for the island too.

Food times are ever so slightly longer but hey, it’s worth it! They’re a busy place!

There are two sauces that he keeps outside and we added the red/spicy sauce on top and they gave the tacos a great kick! Food was made to order and very fresh!”

“We didn't know it was primarily a sushi restaurant. So I was looking for items other than sushi, so we both relished the half lobster. Don't get the broiled lobster, three thin slices for $15. Tempura shrimp were the standard preparation. Our waitress, Sharece, did not meet expectations, she was abrupt rather than helpful with my husband when he asked what bourbon they had. In addition we had to ask Trace to help us get more drinks as she wasn't coming around with offers to get us another drink. Trace was exceptional, we wish him the best.”

“Well we tried it. I will say it was the least expensive meal we ate. But the burgers are McDonalds size. They were ok, good I guess, but nothing special. The onion rings were good, but we only got 2 with our order of Frings. I would say if you are craving a small, cheap burger and there's no line, it's worth it. Otherwise, you can probably find better.”

“Came for happy hour! Food is simple but cooked well and tasty! 2 drink minimum if you come for happy hour. We got the tacos for taco Tuesday. Some teriyaki wings (breaded). Coconut shrimp and pork belly appetizer. Beers are served in frosty mugs! Definitely recommend stopping here for a casual dining experience. They also have a ton of tvs for any sporting event! Great views and the open air kept it at a great temperature inside.”

“The food was delicious and some of the largest portions in the area for the money. Entrees were close to $20 per person which was significantly cheaper than a lot of other nice dining options nearby. A couple things that were less than ideal was that they didn't see our reservation that we made through open table and when we got there we had to prove to them that the reservation was made properly on our end. Also they were out of salad and fried fish as-well as a few other things I cannot remember. Overall I would recommend this place and go here again just temper expectations of a seem-less process to dine.”

“For something quick that we could take to go, to eat on our lanai and watch the sunset, it was a nice tasty meal. 10 shrimp with rice was plenty for each of us. I liked the garlic shrimp, my wife had cookie which she liked because it lightly seasoned.”

“The Prime Rib was enjoyed by my son-in-law, and I LOVED the Stung Honey Fried Chicken. The coconut shrimp were the perfect accompianment to the King Tiki Mai Thai. My wife loved the Asian Salad, but my DIL thought the Macademia Crusted Mahi Mahi was a bit dry. Service was SPECTACULAR, and the kids menu was extensive - our 3.5 yo grandson loved the grilled cheese sandwich with waffle fries, our 19 month old grandaughter loved the pasta with marinara, and there was also pasta with butter sauce, cheese burger sliders with waffle fries, and chicken tenders with waffle fries. The view of the pool and ocean from under the lanai was also terrific!”

“Food is still good however the service now sucks. if your eating and want something else or another drink. whoever is serving you will not get it you are told that you must go back up to the cashier and order it there. what kind of crap is that. when told that I replied that "Then no need to tip you right" ? got a dirty look for that one, I'm just saying what's the purpose of having a waiter/waitress that won't get anything may as well go to the Crack. glad the one in Kalaheo isn't like poipu !!”
