“My husband and I stayed several days for his 50th birthday. Surprise to us at check-in they had upgraded our room to an oceanfront room.., completely complimentary. It was hands down the best experience we have ever had. From the friendly staff, to the amazing meals and all the beautiful views inside and outside the resort. Mahalo! Mauna Lani!“

“From the moment I walked in here I was greeted with a friendly smile. The service and atmosphere was so welcoming. Aside from that, the food is AMAZING. Every fish option tasted amazing (I know, they let me sample them), it was fresh and melt in your mouth. The rice was so so so good, I could eat a bowl of just the rice. If you have a sweet tooth like me, their shortbread cookies hit the spot, they had a nostalgic but better flavor and texture.
The cherry on top? They are reasonably priced, I am happy with amount of food I received for what I paid.

“Loved our dinner at Browns Beach House! Ambiance was great, especially our seat right along the lawn (unobstructed view of the sunset) and the live music. Our server, Liana, was excellent and very personable. I enjoyed my chicken entree and champagne. My husband had a delectable coconut/cacao cocktail and a fish entree - mahi mahi. It was such a lovely evening. Very memorable, especially those delicious rolls!“

They are take out only, so brought it down to the nearest park to eat. The view is definitely 5 star atmosphere. If you're looking for a good meal at a good price, this is the place.“

Here is a summary of our dinner: We thoroughly enjoyed the Ebi Tempura roll - (it was good enough that we have encouraged several family members to join us at Ulu this evening for sushi and dinner) For our entrées we had the Mahi Mahi and the Spicy Crab Noodles. Both were perfectly prepared, very flavorful, and the presentation was perfect. For dessert, we couldn't decide between the chocolate or vanilla (the flavor of the evening) soufflé, so we got one of each (you only celebrate 20 years once!). Again, perfectly prepared and presented and was thoroughly enjoyed. And I can't overstate how excellent the service was. The staff went out of their way to make the experience memorable. It was the best dining experience I have ever had and I don't expect to top it soon, unless they outdo themselves when we return this evening. Ulu & Four Seasons Resort - well done!“

I think the scallop crudo would be better paired with a lighter & citrusy base. The dish felt too heavy with the chili oil.

“Emma’s kitchen is a place to get filipino cuisine, I’ve been busy working and have moved away for almost a year from my family. Going here grounds me as their food hits the spot, food is fresh and the best seasoning and reminds me of home. “The performers were excellent. Atmosphere/setting was nice.

The food was good, but when its windy... you will add nature to your food. Desserts were average at best.

The service was not good. Seating was uncomfortable. No good direction to find the area.

Super expensive. The drinks are not included. In my opinion the total price is not worth the package outside of great performers and history.“

“We have eaten at this spectacular restaurant several times over several decades, and you could not ask for a better place to eat in Waikoloa.
We have stayed at the resort which is very nice in and of itself, or have just dined there for the relaxing atmosphere, open ocean breeze, and most importantly the delicious meals.

It is no wonder why the food is always top notch considering the Executive Chef Jayson Kanekoa, Sous Chef Henry Matteo, and Butcher Keoki Young have been a team there for decades. You do not last in the fine dining profession at a resort unless you are top professionals.
Even our waiter Ringo has been there decades, and his prompt service and attention to all our needs reflects well on the management.
This Marriot resort has selected and kept such great professionals in the kitchen, and out front serving their guests for good reason.

As to this specific meal, we had a wonderful appetizer of scallops that were large, succulent, well seasoned, and brazed just right. The sauce they were in guaranteed a cleaned plate when finished.
We then had the main course of our favorite fish, Opakapaka. It is a deep water Hawaiian pink snapper which we cannot get on the east coast.
As usual it was deliciously prepared and cooked to perfection, with it almost melting in your mouth being so delicate with a sweet flavor. It was sauteed with a wonderful sauce, topped with some type of caviar, on top of crisp green beans and seasoned potatoes.

Having been completed satiated, we didn't try a dessert, but they looked very tempting.
Everything was perfect, and just like our previous experiences we always have memories of the great time, and desire to return when we visit Hawaii. Even if we hadn't planned on getting to the Waikoloa coast while island hopping, the Harvest 19 is too alluring to resist.“
