“Good food at a good value. I had the BBQ mix combo plate which has beef, chicken, and pork along with rice and macaroni salad. My wife had a teriyaki beef bowl. Both were excellent and large portions. Fountain machine was not great - the Diet Pepsi tasted off. You are permitted one refill from the fountain machine but I recommend going with a canned drink. Seating is in a food court but if the weather is good you can sit outside.“

“We didn’t stay here, we only came for dinner at the restaurant, but the experience was great. The view is incredible, we watched the sunset and it was absolutely beautiful. Even with the wind, we were still very comfortable while eating. Everything was delicious and the service was very friendly. It’s definitely on the expensive side, but totally worth it.“

“Asked if he would substitute grilled fish for the fried shrimp on their salad, and he said sure. Best $15 I've spent on the island. They are take out only, so brought it down to the nearest park to eat. The view is definitely 5 star atmosphere. If you're looking for a good meal at a good price, this is the place.“

“The food was amazing! The service was good. They have a nice open kitchen. The only thing I didn't like, was that I had a direct view to a service area with an open curtain and one can see inside the cleaning gear. A simple detail that can be easily fixed.“

“The views are stunning! Absolutely loved the scenery at this restaurant. The food was ok, but nothing special - it lacked a lot of seasoning. The only food item that was really spectacular was the Bombe Alaska.

It seemed they were understaffed. We had to ask for water a few times and our server was constantly running around but hardly had any time for us, although he was very kind and had good recommendations. I think each waiter had more than 10 tables to wait on... They were not properly staffed. We felt bad for him and it created a less than impressive service experience.“

“My wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary on the Big Island and wanted to experience the best the island had to offer. Ulu Ocean Grille did not disappoint! Here is a summary of our dinner: We thoroughly enjoyed the Ebi Tempura roll - (it was good enough that we have encouraged several family members to join us at Ulu this evening for sushi and dinner) For our entrées we had the Mahi Mahi and the Spicy Crab Noodles. Both were perfectly prepared, very flavorful, and the presentation was perfect. For dessert, we couldn't decide between the chocolate or vanilla (the flavor of the evening) soufflé, so we got one of each (you only celebrate 20 years once!). Again, perfectly prepared and presented and was thoroughly enjoyed. And I can't overstate how excellent the service was. The staff went out of their way to make the experience memorable. It was the best dining experience I have ever had and I don't expect to top it soon, unless they outdo themselves when we return this evening. Ulu & Four Seasons Resort - well done!“

“Listen, when I tell you this is one of my favorite restaurants on the Island, I mean it. Luke is our guy and has always taken such good care of us. I've never had a bad meal or experience that Luke didn't take care of himself. The man is in a league of his own. The food is amazing, Chef prepares them phenomenally. In fact I think we want to make another reservation for tonight. See you guys there.“

The food was good, but when its windy... you will add nature to your food. Desserts were average at best.

The service was not good. Seating was uncomfortable. No good direction to find the area.

Super expensive. The drinks are not included. In my opinion the total price is not worth the package outside of great performers and history.“

“This is a wonderful place to eat for breakfast, with the most breathtaking views! Try the island fried rice, it’s worth the upcharge! My servers were all great, but my favorite person was Ginger who was the hostess. She has the best personality and is quite funny! Thank you for the great experience!“

“Underrated experience all around, in my opinion. This fit the vibe of my wife and I better than The Manta did during our stay at the Mauna Kea. It's relaxed but still polished with great atmosphere. The octopus pictured was great and also a much larger portion than expected. Copper Bar also served me the best burger I've had in Hawaii with local beef (not pictured). Great cocktails too. I was into the Tahitian limeade.“

The menu sticks to classic grill fare: burgers (the Hawaiian Bacon Barbecue and Steakhouse Korean-style are popular), fish tacos, chicken katsu sandwich, poke salad, hot dogs, salads, and a few Hawaiian bowls. Portions are generous and cooking staff is extremely fast. Service is usually friendly and quick, perfect when you’re in a swimsuit or between lagoon activities.“

“We shared the Brussel sprouts and bbq ribs w/lilikoi bbq sauce pupus. That plus a couple of cold beverages and a beautiful big island sunset made for a very pleasant evening in this hotel restaurant. 3/26 update - new menu meant no bbq ribs but we found the fish and chips and huli huli chicken to be excellent!“
