Based on the name, I assumed this was a kebab fast food (hot dog serving) small, cramped, smoky 1930's Greek restaurant. To my surprise, it is a spacious, well-ventilated, well-lit 2030's sit-down restaurant with absolutely delicious chicken, chick-peas (hummus) and meat-based protein meals, with generous portions of elegantly-prepared rice, salads, nice pita bread, ancient Christian food treasures straddling the fence between south-eastern European and middle-eastern and Asia Minor national palates. Հայկական, Assyrian, Greek, Lebanese Arabic and Persian cuisine-lovers would love the flavors.

They are a great place to rent for graduation parties or baptisms.

I ordered a yogurt-based drink (Karoun, yum), hummus appetizer, French fries (crispy and good as is or with ketchup), then got a delicious chicken and ground meat kebab which came with rice, salad, and several delicious garlic-based and spicy sauces. An hour later I am still energetic and not at all in a food coma.

Great for lunch or dinner, a place to bring family who is visiting from out of town to sate their protein appetite.

I have to visit again to try other dishes and a bunch of salads.

Don't let the location fool you. It is n ot a small place.

This is a roomy place to visit for couples, a family, or a single man or woman looking for a 100% healthy meal that will nourish you for the whole day.

I went on a Sunday after Church and was the only one dining in. The service was nice and generous. The Karoun Yogurt Drink provided a protein boost which is good for the stomach. My family loved it.

One of the most memorable dining experiences, and a top restaurant for serving a hearty, generous meal that tastes better than anything I or you have had in a long while. Take some home to finish it later or get carry out.

We did appetizers of course. The Baked Feta was a huge hit as well as the Saganaki of course. We ordered Greek Salad for each table and our guests ordered off the menu. I’m sure it was a challenge for the kitchen but they handled it very well and everyone enjoyed their meal. We had one server, who’s name I did not get, (may fault). She was awesome! “Oh my goodness. You have to try this new restaurant. Open less than a week, but they really have it together. Went as group of four and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food. Three of us don’t eat meat. We were shocked by all the options we had. We decided to share so we could taste as many different dishes as possible. We enjoyed 2 appetizers, Tetela and Crostinis. Both were wonderful , but the fan favorites were the Crostinis with focaccia bread, roasted brussel sprouts, burrata cheese foam, hazelnuts, pesto, truffle honey, and basaltic glaze. The apple and beets salad was wonderful, as was our main coarse, cauliflower steak. My meat eating husband loved his Wagyu burger. We finished with the rice pudding and coconut desserts. They were both amazing and the presentation was beautiful, with edible greens and flowers. Chef Christian and his wife Sarah graciously explained everything. Their pride in this new venture was obvious. I strongly suggest you check out Enigma before it’s discovered and you can’t get a reservation.“

“GrubHub left me hanging and cancelled my order without any meaningful explanation. Since I was still hungry and wanted dinner, I called the store directly. Boy am I glad I did! The manager took my call and commiserated with me a bit and suggested that I place my order directly with them via their website. Since I am just across the parking lot and can't leave my location (I was running out of time for my lunch), he graciously offered to run my order to me personally. JC showed up a matter of minutes later with my extremely tasty food and a smile!. I love their Lobster Bisque soup and mine was still nice and hot. Bonus... While on the website, I registered for the Cafe Zupas loyalty program and got a Free beverage! And, even though I have a discount on GH from my Amazon Prime account, my bill was nearly $8 cheaper! Overall, my experience today with Cafe Zupas Schaumburg has been stellar and I'll be ordering from them (directly, no more GrubHub) frequently and encouraging my coworkers and clients to do the same. My friend and I order take out from this place regularly but would like to actually sit out on their patio one day for a meal. The place is tiny and has a cute and cozy vibe. “Update: Looking back on our visit to Giordano's, we still remember just how incredible the pizza was. This place absolutely delivered the classic Chicago deep-dish experience and easily ranks among some of the best pizza we have had in the Chicago area.

The pizza was loaded with flavor, plenty of cheese, and cooked perfectly. Every bite reminded us why Chicago-style pizza is famous around the world. You can tell they take pride in what they serve, and it definitely stood out as a memorable meal.

The wait staff was also fantastic throughout the visit. Friendly, attentive, and always making sure everything was perfect. Great service combined with amazing food is what makes restaurants truly memorable, and this location definitely hit the mark.

As Mike & Amy’s Small Town Adventures, we have explored restaurants all across Illinois and beyond, and Giordano’s in Glen Ellyn remains one of the pizza spots we still talk about years later. Highly recommended for anyone looking for outstanding Chicago-style pizza. Easy 5 stars from us.
