“Had an amazing time at green light! Even with a fully booked schedule, the staff worked hard to fit us into a private room between reservations, and they couldn’t have been nicer about it. They even gave us free drinks! The owner came out to chat with us, and he was a really great guy. Fantastic service—can’t wait to come back!“

“We had a fabulous dinner last night at Chicago Kalbi with Cummins Peru, Komat'su, and the VPs from Antimina copper mine.
Such a great place, where you cook the wagyu & kobe beef at your table. The food was delicious ?
Isao Tozuka, the chef and his wife Chiyo-san, are fabulous hosts, very friendly, and really happy to help and show you how things are do e.
I would definitely recommend coming here. It's a unique place. Make sure you book though ad it can be busy.“

“food: got bibimbap, the hot bowl one was good with the crispy rice, menu doesn’t contain some of the more unique Korean dishes unfortunately, also not a lot of side dishes come out
Service: staff was very nice, seems like a good place to get takeout
Ambiance: not super busy“
“The experience we had at this restaurant was memorable for all of the right reasons. I could go down the list and check all the boxes for why this is a top-notch restaurant. The food, cocktails (some of the best I’ve ever had), ambiance, and hospitality couldn’t have been better. The owner himself (Charlie), personally engaged with us to make sure we were pleased with our experience. In summary, my wife and I will be back.“

“the services was so good, we arrived on Saturday around 4:30-5 and easily got a table for 3. The server was so kind and helpful with the menu. We tried the bibimbap, the fried chicken with the sweet sauce, and the kim-ra appetizer! It was all so delicious and we loved it so much!“

“The best bar in all of Chicago, Suburbs
Shell, seasoned shell, tteokbokki, buldak
There is nothing that is not delicious. A place where my 10 years of memories live on.
Parking: You have to park on the street across the street.“

“I've been to many Korean BBQ's within the states and I have to say this was the best customer service we received. This place is pricey for the small portions you get. I'd definitely come back for the service tho.“

“Kim’s home cooking is low key the best Korean restaurant in Chicago! The side dishes are all fresh! I will say the spicy vegetable pork dish was as good as it was in Korea! And the spicy chicken wings are amazing here! If you get a chance check Kim’s home cooking out! You will not be disappointed! On a side note there is free parking so it makes it even better!“

“This is me and my partner's favorite Korean Fried Chicken spot. We've once ordered from here 6 times in a span of two months. The original soy garlic chicken is my favorite, but the curry and snow onion are delicious as well. Sometimes, we order the cheese curds which is also super yummy. And I appreciate the free radish that the chicken comes with when we dine in.
This place is a staple for us and is miles better than Bonchon.“

“been here a few times, each is better experience that the last, attempt to try most of their items on menu. So far, my favorite is their Mango smoothies with cloud cheese, as drink. Their cloud cheese is really good and a balance of salty taste with the sweetness of the mango, the tapioca in the drinks is plentiful but not overpowering the water content. I had it in other Chinatown restaurants, some had too many tapiocas that my teeth were tired chewing them. Cuckoo is not. Their Don (Japanese rice bowls) and their bibimbap (Korean rice bowls) are excellent. Have not decide which is better because each have their own uniqueness and tastes; I had 2 types of their bibimbap before and only 1 type of their Don. So far, I am leaning towards the Don but there is excellent amount of veggie in their Bibimbap, which is ideal for weigh concise person. Wish they have a loyal customer rewards style of drinks incentives, much like some restaurants, for example, buy 9 and get 1 free drink, or some % off after 5 drink purchases, and give customers an advertisable nice pocket size reward card to keep track of their purchases. That may also work with food item purchases as well. Crossing my fingers that this may happen soon. With summer in Chicago, cool refreshing drinks is ideal and as loyal customers, return for more drink purchases with rewards will be even better.“

“The pork bowl I just ate wasn't worth the $20 it kinda tasted burnt. the place was a nice after work spot with literally no parking..I was surprised I found any. I'll try this place one more time, that's if parking is available.“

“I loved “Perilla” …Please do not think of this as your typical Korean BQ grill/Restaurant. This is the most excellent Korean BQ restaurant I have ever been in and I have been in quite few over the years both in Korea back in the day and in the USA…Tomba⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“A true hidden gem for comforting, home-style Korean food, tucked inside Joong Boo Market and reminiscent of a classic Korean food stall. It’s no-frills, just hearty dishes with great quality at an excellent value. We especially loved the codfish soup and tteokbokki. It’s always a treat to grab some groceries and enjoy a quick bite at the snack corner.“

“I don't usually leave reviews, but I was SO impressed with K-Kitchen. I had some time to kill before my train so I picked up some veggie fried rice with fried chicken. It took a while for them to make it, but it was so, so good--and it was fresh and hot!
Absolutely recommend, but factor in the time it'll take to make your food. It'll be worth it, but it's not something you grab 5 minutes before you get on the train or bus.“

“Had to wait 40 minutes to recieve my order for lunch, but the grilled salad was EXCELLENT. Wish the online ordering interface on the website could indicate if they were backlogged and it was going to be a bit. Customer experience not great on this one.“

“We went to the commerce to eat at a different restaurant and did not have a good experience. Tony D. stepped up and was so willing to help and made us some amazing food! The cauliflower is amazing and the bowl with white rice was perfect. I will definitely be going back when I’m in the area!“

“Love the architectural design with the exposed Brick and HVAC ducts. The space exuded warmth through it’s wood tables and floors and low lighting. Bathrooms were very clean also. Now, i ordered the Bulgogi Bap and let me tell you 😍…the beef was tender, flavorful with a hint of bbq. The rice was seasoned to perfection and the portions were large enough to satisfy me and i hadn’t eaten since 9 am. Im super satisfied with my experience ☺️“

“This is a Korean restaurant with a Korean atmosphere.
It was a little disappointing that alcohol was not sold separately, but the cold noodles were really delicious. It was made for two people, and although it was a lot for the price, it didn't seem to be that good because it had less fat. I had grilled meat and stir-fried rice and it was good, and even if it wasn't meat, I would like to come back to eat cold noodles again.“

“A no-frill & comforting mom-and-pop-style Korean restaurant that serves hearty Seolleongtang, perfect for a rainy or cold winter day. The broth is rich and soothing, and the kimchi and radish banchan complement the meal nicely. Note that this place is cash only, though there is an ATM inside the restaurant.“

“10 minutes walk from Willis Tower. A Korean restaurant easily accessible while walking around downtown Chicago. The Korean owner is very kind and the soft tofu stew and rice are generous, as the owner likes. I highly recommend it because you can go to the Korean mart after eating. See you again.“

“Ate there for the first time tonight. I am vegan and my husband is an Omni. Chef Bill came out and waited on us personally, and gave us menu recommendations, all of which were delicious! The ambiance was so relaxing and peaceful; it was a nice respite from a busy day and I didn’t want to leave. Reasonably priced as well: shared appetizer, two teas, two entrees, and two desserts was $60. Will definitely be back for many more dinners!“

“I usually don't leave a review here but I want this place to get bigger and larger so I can have their tteokbokki wherever in the States so easily
Please try Chadol Tteokbokki ($20) and the kimbap combination set ($13) with your friend, which I did today with my friend. If there’s a God of Korean street food, Sang’s kitchen is that god blessed.
We were already full but we weren’t able to leave any leftovers since it seemed disrespectful for this god blessed tteokbokki. I barely go to Korean restaurants and rather cook at home, but this deserves my money
I would like to say this to Koreans who are sad from homesickness, so I hope you all enjoy the tteokbokki made by the Nobel Snack Prize winner, and I wish you all a Happy New Year.“

“It was my 1st time eating Korean BBQ. The food was delicious and it's fun to have the BBQ cooked at your table. I loved all the side dishes and all 3 types of meat we had were very tasty and tender. I didn't find the staff to be very friendly, that would have made the atmosphere so much better. I felt the price was unexpectedly high but it was definitely something I would do again.“

“I recently visited Kong Dog at North Riverside Mall and had a fantastic experience thanks to Angelo, the cashier. He was incredibly helpful, recommending some of his favorite items, which made my selection much easier. I selected the Hot Cheeto Kong Dog this time, but I will definitely try the Churro Kong Dog the next time I visit the North Riverside mall.
His friendly demeanor and excellent customer service truly stood out. I appreciate the effort he put into ensuring I had a great visit. If you’re at the mall, I highly recommend stopping by Kong Dog and asking for Angelo!“

“All around great spot with a variety of American and Korean. The bi bim bop and spicy chicken stir fry are phenomenal. They have recently gone under new ownership and the already great food has become even better and the interior has been updated. If you are looking for a good and quick meal and are around Grand/Western this is the place to go.“

“ive never completely decimated an order of chicken like I have from bb.q chicken. im gonna be honest i blacked out. i tried the cheeseling chicken for the first time cause i had no idea how itd taste and it was surprisingly balanced and richly sweet. the chicken fell off the bone and the bones practically fell apart with it. when i woke up i was struck with Holy Visions. i was valedictorian of my class. i had 5 million in my bank account. and everyone was cheering for me and giving me full timejob offers with benefits. needless to say it was good as hell 5 starts“

“It’s a mall food court where every table is dirty and rocks so not a great atmosphere. However the guys working at Kong Dog are very friendly and efficient and they were happy to answer questions and make suggestions. I have never had a Kong Dog but I give it 10/10 and the mango lemonade was delicious combo too! I’ll be back for sure.“

“Got takeout from here on my first night in Chicago and was HOOKED. The bulgogi fries are to die for! The wings are really good as well. I'm looking into how to make the bulgogi fries at home bc there's no Bonchon in my home state ? you will not regret trying this place, but be warned- you may become addicted, lol!
Parking: Street parking, but not too bad- you might need to circle the block to get a spot!“
